Thank you Mary and Zordac! I talked to the person who is going to update my computer and he brought up Nvidia as well, so it looks like that is the direction I am heading. I really hope a new graphic card will fix that because I really want to be able to play beach and concrete lots.

Yeah, I get the feeling that I need to update my graphics card. It really is on the low end of the spectrum. I was just hoping that maybe it could be fixed without costing me money. lol. My sister has a friend who I just talked to and he is going to see about updating my computer with a better graphics card so maybe that we help. Thank you again for helping me out Mary.

Thank you for your response MaryH. I have all EP's/SP's up to BV/Teen Style Stuff. It's weird, because I don't seem to have any other graphic problems. In fact, my game runs pretty good and everything looks nice in game. There isn't any blurriness or anything. It's just the map that looks horrible. Do you need more info then this? I took my downloads folder out to see if something was causing it, but nothing changed. I am thinking I may have to uninstall/reinstall everything, but that is kind of a last resort. ETA: I just updated my driver and that didn't do anything. Plus, I tried to create a neighborhood with concrete and it wouldn't show up. It just went to grass. I have a feeling that this is all due to me having a low end graphics card even though other things look ok in my game. ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 5/4/2009, 15:39:30 Machine name: HOME-PC Operating System: Windows Vistaâ„¢ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6001) Service Pack 1 (6001.vistasp1_gdr.090302-1506) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: HP-Pavilion System Model: KJ385AA-ABA a6433w BIOS: BIOS Date: 03/28/08 16:53:51 Ver: 5.22 Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2180 @ 2.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz Memory: 3062MB RAM Page File: 1196MB used, 5144MB available Windows Dir: C:\Windows DirectX Version: DirectX 10 DX Setup Parameters: Not found DxDiag Version: 6.00.6001.18000 32bit Unicode

I am having a problem with my Neighborhood maps. No matter what map I download, when I view it, it comes out looking blocky (sp?), uneven and part of the land mass seems to sink in water. I have no idea what is causing this. Does anyone know what the problem may be? I put up examples to show you the huge difference in the map images: This is how the map I downloaded is suppose to look: This is what it looks like in my game from the neighborhood view:

The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: Creatures?

I hope they don't take that stuff out. As a big fan of supernatural dramas and books, I enjoy the strange creatures. They're my favorite part of the games. My favorite game itself was Makin' Magic. I wouldn't mind if they came up with an entire expansion pack with just odd creatures so people can just have the creatures if they want to.
I really hope they offer different creatures. I mean they allow you to create Sims with different skin colors (blue, green, etc.) and face patterns (I saw a video of this.) So I am really hoping we get Werewolves, Vampires, Zombies and such or at least expansion packs that include them.

In case you've not read the gamespot preview from March 6 which you can find here, they list all 65 of the traits which will be available in the game! Here a copy of the paragraph: "In fact, here's a full and complete list of the 65 traits in The Sims 3 for you to look over: absent-minded, ambitious, angler, artistic, athletic, bookworm, brave, can't stand art, charismatic, childish, clumsy, commitment issues, computer whiz, couch potato, coward, daredevil, dislikes children, easily impressed, evil, excitable, family-oriented, flirty, friendly, frugal, genius, good, good sense of humor, great kisser, green thumb, grumpy, handy, hates the outdoors, heavy sleeper, hopeless romantic, hot-headed, hydrophobic, inappropriate, insane, kleptomaniac, light sleeper, loner, loser, loves the outdoors, lucky, mean spirited, mooch, natural cook, neat, neurotic, never nude (yes, from Arrested Development), no sense of humor, over-emotional, party animal, perfectionist, schmoozer, slob, snob, technophobe, unflirty, unlucky, vegetarian, virtuoso, and workaholic. Enough traits for you?" I love the fact that we will be able to give are Sims more of a personality. I think one of the first Sims I would create would be a daredevil who happens to be an unlucky, insane, kleptomaniac who dislikes children.

Not that I would have downloaded it, because if it were a true demo we could get it on the official site, but I really dislike people who create viruses.
