I think it is a hack.
ses if it works if you remove the downloads.

Backup you game.
Try uninstall everything Sims 2 and all EXP and SP you have, reinstall and patch.
Then if it work put your backup back in.

mine did that it stopped when I got Pets.

The polygon count of a mesh can have a effect on the performance of you game.

It could be that you have the cheat "boolprop DisablePuppyKittenAging true" turned on.
This well keep your puppy or kitten from aging, try holding down Ctrl, Shift , C and write boolprop DisablePuppyKittenAging false then press enter, or it could be a download.

What should I look for when I am looking for custom careers if some of them do work.

I have a problem since pets i can't get custom careers to work.
I have the danish game and i have 2 custom career that do work, they are old
from before Nightlife.
any new custom career I downloade either takes the name from the Maxis careers in danish or they are nonsens.
Can anyone explaine this ?
