But after i created a mesh, how would i go about importing and such into the sims?

Well the one i've been using was recolors of The Lady In Red, and so far it has only happened on one lot with my sims. I went into another empty lot (house, no sims) and put a few up, saved and they didnt disappear. So i'm thinking it might have something to do with with the fact that i only got like around 2.5GB free on my HD, i really need to clean it up one of these days.

Ok well i finally got my custom paintings to show up in the game (i had to manually install CEP). What happens though is that ill buy a painting put in the hosue, then when i save the lot its gone! But the funds still show that it was purchased, i.e. my sims dont get their money back.

anyone else have this problem?

Im running all ep's except bon voyage and apt. life and the Family Fun Stuff, GL, Cleabration and K&B stuff packs.

I got the autoinstaller from the MTS2 site if that's what you mean

Bad news everyone, i checked and re-checked my downloads folder, couldnt find the file mentioned in the FAQ, then re-installed it and started the game, and still no CEP. Why isnt this working? BTW, im running Windows Vista

ok, exactly where am i supposed to install CEP? I have a folder called CEP_documents in the my documents folder.

OK, so for the past few days i have been trying to get some custom paintings to show up in my game and so far they havent. I've extracted the files that needed it and everything is in the downloads folder.

In the game ive went through and checked each painting to see if the ones i downloaded came up and they didnt! I have latest version of the CEP, and i have all ep's except bon voyage and the galmour life and kitchen and bath stuff packs.

Please help me! This is driving me nuts!

and whats a good  (free) 3D modeling program thats easy for beginners?

I'll have to check on that then. Then would I use SimPE to assign uses and such?

i checked out a few of the vids on youtube. doesnt look to difficult, but ill have to wait till i get home t try it - seeing as how im at work.

well i'm fairly new to creating objects and such, and i was wondering if it is possible to create an object in a 3D CAD software, like say Soildworks, and use it in Sims 2?

(I have acess to Soildworks 2006)
