Now, here's the million dollar question, Ninth Wave -- can you devise a hack to shut up the DJ?

A lot of people have mentioned their disgust with the extreme profiteering motive via The Sims 3 Store and rules against modding and sharing those files.

Extreme greed kills, and I think EA killed off the Sims 3 with it.

Darn but the Sims 3 is hard to work with! I downloaded the free neighborhood and some nicer looking custom houses by members from the EA site. I did this so there would be space/lots for the additional houses.

Then I made my first two sims, roommates, had them live together briefly, did the motherlode cheat so they'd have plenty $$$, then had one move out so she could have a nicer house, with plans to motherlode the other sim so he could move into a nicer home also. I saved and exited the game.

Now when I return I Riverview, there's a copy of the neighborhood where she lives, but I can't figure out how to exit her house to find him at the old house. When I save and exit it takes me back to the original Riverview where this couple is still sitting in the SimBin. Worse, I have no idea how find the sim male who was left broke in the original sim house I moved them in.

I know the game works differently but this is ridiculous. How do find the guy so I can move him out and they both be in the same neighborhood, or is this possible? I blew a lot of time trying to making him look human, so it's really annoying.

Our family has been playing the game (and really trying hard to love it, no avail) since the afternoon of June 2, and the verdict is none.

I won't hold my breath, but I'm waiting for either another TS2 EP, or the Sims 4 where the knuckleheads at EA combine the best of TS2 with TS3 - which is what they should have done for TS3.

Spring cleaning, and I'm trying to identify outfits in CAS that have default pics, probably from missing meshes. What's that cheat and how do I do it?

Also, 2nd question: what's the cheat for unlocking all career outfits in CAS and how do I type it in cheat box? While in the Neighborhood view or the CAS view? I can't remember.

I'm interested in this mod too. I like the one slap mod Squinge made a lot, and have wondered if

- a one punch mod could be done, the kind of punch with the punching bag, and
- a two punch knock out the other sim with a TKO to end any fight. This would be so cool.

DaSpecial1 - I went to MTS2 and DL'd that Multiphone and tried it. It doesn't mention it has that old feature! Tried it, it works great, and was so funny! Perfect for that Sim who kicks over your trashcan, as they come to do it again as soon as they get crank call - but the other sim can wait for them. Thanks so much for telling me about this.

As for the other request: Squinge or Chavvik, can either of you let me know if you'll do the Increased Gestures hack? If you're not interested, I'll try to find someone else, but please tell me if that hack is possible to do (it might not). Thanks.

It's "Crank Call", so when you direct your sim to make a phone call, you could select it on the phone menu.

It's a feature that has disappeared now that I have all EPs through AL and M&G. The words crank and prank may be a matter of simantics depending on the regional area.

(BTW, I'm fairly certain the sim who used to make these back in 2006 has a Nice score of 2, not 0-1, and was a romantic rival/enemy of another sim. It was very funny when they did this to one another. They used to leave flaming bags of poo at each other's homes too, but now they only kick over the trash cans. Did EA stop that behavior too?) 

So, Squinge, Chavvik, please let me know if a Crank Call mod can be added to the menu for AL, and the "Increase All Gestures" mod is technically possible to do, and if either of you are interested in doing one or both of them. Thank you.

Years ago when there was only NL and Uni, I had two sims who were enemies and it was hilarious when one made a crank calls to another. It's been a long time since I've seen that option, and wonder if it's possible for it to be enabled again? If so, would you please?

Also, 2nd request, this one is related to Gestures: tough handshake, high five, the fake out, kiss kiss darling etc. In April I asked if one of these could occur autonomously but got zero response (maybe overlooked by you two?  ) Anyway, as I've played a lot since then, they're all cool gestures, and the fake out is funny, so can you make them autonomous? Except for the Earth Hug, I have never seen ANY of them happen autonomously.

I have a dog in one neighborhood and want to clone him for another. I used SimPE to export him to my desktop, then stuck him in my DL folder, but he didn't show up in CAS.

I did a robust search here and at MTS2 for a tutorial on making a simple clone but only found stuff on a Wormrat program which is more extensive than I need. Can someone please tell me how to clone an in-game pet or a link to a tutorial? I used to see them long ago but not now. Thanks in advance.

BTW, diff subject, I love and use many of Squinge's hacks and some of your new ones too, Chaavik.

Squinge, I don't know if you have an older hack uploaded named Phone-No Ringer Sound, but to let you know that still works in the game with AL. It's superior to the Maxis 'screening calls' of the phone not ringing, b/c with yours, I can 'see' the phone ringing on the sim (or the wall), yet it's very non-intrusive. I hope you two can continue your fine work and have gotten more mileage from my game.

However, I really don't want the females to be prevented from autonomously 'leaping into arms'.

As I said before, it's cute to me and I prefer the spontaneity with the girl sims doing this - but not the guys.

Squinge did a similar simple hack to prevent only females from autonomously 'kissing up arm & serenading'. (See that here:
