Rick, my teen male. He's actually a byproduct of two sims, he's sort of like a test if the genetics mixer goes better now than in TS2. Yes, he looked retarded when he was in toddler and child age. But we all do, don't we?

IMO
If you people keep ranting about how the game's graphics suck bad and it lags horribly when you turn the settings to max, I recommend you buy/build yourself a new computer, preferably one that handles applications of the 21st century. If you think the graphics here feels a lot like the first Sims game, it's because you've been playing that game for more than 10 years. Get a job, get a life and stop living off your parents.
If you don't like the game, so be it and don't buy it. Don't go in forums like these and post about the game being a complete waste of money. I bought the game and I like it. Not 100%, considering the missing stuff I like to be added and bugs I want removed. If you got something against my idea of liking the game, I don't really care.

It's sad however that you can't make your own hood no more Haha, that would of course defy their intention of selling you more hoods in the future. They're not interested in the fact that customers are people, they're just insatiably greedy. Sorry for stating the obvious. Their next step in their quest in greed: Releasing lots of unnecessary stuff packs and expansion packs with plenty of useless content that could have been included in the base game. I can see it now: The Sims 3: Weather stuff The Sims 3: Pets stuff The Sims 3: Not another useless expensive stuff pack etc etc etc

Yea really probably not worth my money, I like the gameplay of it tho, but nothing less. The graphics aren't worth for my rig. Come on I spent big amounts of money to build myself an awesome game machine that will last for five years. They just added the fancy Shader Model 2 into the game. You get water reflections, better mirror reflections, bump mapping, and moar eye candy that were introduced to the world more than four years ago. I turned it off and went to play me some Left 4 Dead Left 4 Dead ftw

Hi, I hope this link will better enlighten you on the returning families for the game. Yes, TS3 is indeed a prequel to TS2 infact TS3 is essentially set 50 years before TS1. Check it out! http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Sunset_Valley50 years? That must be quite long. If Mortimer was already let's say 58 years old in TS1 how old is he in TS2 when his daughter already grew up? Either they live longer than turtles or 50 years is way too long. Also another thing, if TS3 was 50 years before TS1, why do they have HDTVs, laptops and stuff? TS1 was made in the late 90s and the game was reflected to that era. I'm gonna ask my grandpa then if they had 44" Flat Screen HDTVs and octocore laptops during his times.

Someone so badass teh nerds at the gym beat themselves up so they won't get owned by his fists.
When he's fishing, all the fish rush and bite his hook and because of this he wiped out the entire fish population.
When he plays the guitar for tips everyone throws their wallets at him so they won't get in trouble.
Traits I want for my sim: Athletic Loves teh outdoors Natural Cook Artistic Evil

I'm already playing the game. The graphics aren't even worth it. Even on the maxest settings. The game runs an average of 90fps on my system, believe me.
Oh and here's the specs of my custom built rig:
AMD Phenom X4 Black Edition 64bit 4 GB RAM Dual ATI Radeon HD4870 512MB 1TB HDD space, using just one HD

The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: How do you feel about seeing the same objects in TS2 in TS3?

Personally I don't mid seeing the same stuff again. I recall there were some stuff in TS1 that somehow resembles some objects in TS2 (only with different names). You can create styles and stuff in TS3 so that kinda made me give the objects a thumbs up.
Although the objects are a little weird. The game sez the story was before Pleasantview, so I'll be expecting a 70's theme and stuff but no, I got laptops, VR goggles and cars that go faster than a Lambo (they look weirder than a Lambo too). If Mortimer got s****y computers during his adult years why did his father wield a laptop around town? O_o
