Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / Interior foundation problem
|
on: July 05, 2009, 03:49:35 am
|
Since I've installed AL I have an issue with building interior foundations, so I think this is the right place for this post. Whatever I'm trying, how empty the exterior foundation is: When I'm trying to put an interior foundation over the exterior foundation it still keeps saying that I cannot place an interior foundation over a halfwall or fence. But there are NO halfwalls or fences on the foundation below. So, you can imagine this turns me . Tried everything: Leveling terrain, other lots, deleting all objects... but EA keeps saying it's impossible what I'm trying to build. I wonder what's going wrong and how I can solve this problem?

Simmers' Paradise / Objects & Recolors / Baby, light my fire: Lamps
|
on: July 02, 2009, 01:50:18 am

I'm going slightly , because I can't find any... As you all know, the Sims have different types of lights/lamps to illuminate their rooms. But most of them have that "cold" type of light which turns every room in a hospital room , no matter how cozy and stylish it's been decorated. However, there's one type of light which illuminates the rooms in a beautiful, warm way: and Please please, is there anyone who wants to make new floorlamps/tablelamps or hanging lamps with this type of light for me??

Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Lamps with the same kind of light as this Simgame torch (picture)

Hello everyone, Bother you again with something I want... As you all know, the Sims have different types of lights/lamps to illuminate their rooms. But most of them have that "cold" type of light which turns every room in a hospital room , no matter how cozy and stylish it's been decorated. However, there's one type of light which illuminates the rooms in a beautiful, warm way: Those bamboo torches. Wonderful, warm yellowish light which makes every room beautiful. Don't know the English Maxis names of these torches, 'cause I've got the Dutch version from the Sims, but there's a floorlamp and a tablelamp of it. Does anyone know if these torches are "meshed up" into other, more modern lamps? After two years using in almost every single Sim house, I desperate need another look of these lights. Or are there any recolorings done with these torches?

Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Glass elevator, mossy tiles and stainless steel walls/floors (FOUND ALL)
|
on: June 22, 2009, 05:02:42 am
|
For a big project I desperately need the following CC: Two years ago (or so) I remember seen a glass elevator somewhere, but I can't find it anymore. Does anyone know where I can find it? (or: was it just a hallucination at that time ?) Before my computercrash I had mossy stone tiles in my downloads. Unfortunately all my downloads disappeared for eternity, and I had to start all over again. And now I don't know where I found them and can't find them anymore (although I've searched 350 different sites ). It was a set of 5 or 6 different types of tiles: Cobblestones, mosaic like etc. I really like stainless steel floors and walls, but most of them are in game just grey, dull, disappointing or gruesome. So I'm looking for high-quality stainless steel floors and walls with a nice "shiny", seamless (!) look. Does anyone know these kinds of floors and walls? If you do, I'll give you a BIG

Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / WCIF: The best "finds" sites?
|
on: June 21, 2009, 05:46:14 am
|
Hello you all,
I would like to find sites where I can find their "finds". I know there must be sites who search the sims-web all the time and show the best finds on the web for downloading sim-stuff. What are the best sites for this?
A year ago I found a German site which was dedicated to this, but I can't find it anymore. So, anyone who knows good sites with "finds"?

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: How to marry an elder?
|

I've tried these options (except Insimenator) and the only way is to marry them on the lot. Too bad! Now I can't create children of them by myself but it's all in Maxis' hands... But thanx anyway for helping!

I meant (and sorry for the fuzzy-question): When you create a family (in "create a family"-mode), you can't have a marriage-relationship between an adult woman and an elder man. As the result of this, you also can't create children of them. And that's what I'm questioning: Is there a possibility to do all this in "create a family"?
But thanks anyway!

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / How to marry an elder?
|
on: June 16, 2009, 09:51:50 am

One of my adult female Sims is really nasty and wants to marry a rich elder male Sim. Only for his money, of course. HE wants to marry her 'cause she's gorgeous and (or: so) he doesn't need those blue pills . Well, here's the problem I cannot solve: Is there a way to let them marry? Is it possible to have a combination adult - elder? And if so: Can they have children? I've searched the whole web but I can't find any answers or cheats. Hoping anyone has the answer...
