I love how you guys like picking away at someone's grammar,is that all you have? And to make fun of someone's user name is the very definition of childish to say the least.Sims 2 sims look awful unless you use CC skin, face templates and makeup, the problem with this forum is that if you don't hate the Sims 3 and love the Sims 2 then your opinion doesn't seem to count at all.

I don't think it's 100% fair that all of my posts were deleted because I have a difference of opinion

But you guys are not comparing vanilla games, sims 2 sims look awful without CC skin, hair, eyes and face templates.I am not trying to be insulting,I am stating an opinion, just because it is unpopular on this site doesn't mean that I deserve to get flamed. The only things people want to talk about is the CC when it comes to the sims 2,where are the sims made with EA only content on this site?(or any,for that matter)I just see ones decked out with CC

Yeah,I also hate furnishing or building houses for both games, architecture just isn't my thing,or interior decorating for that matter

I actually don't mind the babies.but I will say that I didn't mean to sound rude,I meant that sometimes the simming community in general(be it 2 or 3)can sometimes be a little shallow.I doubt if EA(Maxis, whatever)intended the sims games to be all about looks, that disturbs me a little,a game should be about having fun,a little escape from reality,I don't like bringing the reality to my game.

I personally think that it verges on the rude side to call ALL sims 3 sims ugly,a lot of people put time and effort into these creations.Besides,in my opinion sims 2 players tend to be on the shallow side, photoshoots? Sometimes I think they have their fantasy/reality blurred a little

I love how people complain about the "ugly puddings"in the sims 3,Sims 2 sims only look good coated in CC
8  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: Petition For New Sims2 EP on: July 28, 2010, 07:20:58 pm
I actually had more problems with the sims 2 than I have ever experienced with the sims 3,mainly because it's the CC and hacks that trash the game,I know from experience.Besides,I still play the sims 2 on rare occasions, but I merely like the sims 3 better. The open neighbourhood and no loading screens are fantastic, the graphics are more realistic and the endless customization is amazing. I don't understand why people complain about rabbit holes so much,in the sims 2 when it came to go to work they just got into their cars and dissapeared,so doesn't that make the whole world a rabbit hole? Besides, any intelligent human being couldn't compare something to one thing that has been out 6 years, with 8 EPs,8 SPs,to something that has been out 1 year with 2 EP's and 1 SP.I remember when the Sims 2 forums were in full swing, everyone complained about how "borked"that game was too at the time,so now all of a sudden the sims 2 has no problems? Really?

I highly doubt that EA will make an EP for a game that isn't being produced anymore, besides, most people actually prefer the Sims 3 over the Sims 2.But you wouldn't know that from all of the whining on the internet.

You might be talking about Twallen's Supercomputer mod,it's avaliable at the Simmer's Club, you can google it or I can throw a link your way.

I've found a way to kill annoying sims without dealing with that blasted negative moodlet,if you have World Adventures you can select the stone hearted lifetimehappiness reward, they won't get affected by a sim dying on their property after you purchase it.If you don't have WA you can just type in TestingCheatsEnabled true, and then Ctrl, shift click and delete the negative moodlet.

Just download the latest basegame patch and then install it,there's no need to uninstall your games or get rid of the patch. The same thing happened to me,and my game is working like a charm after I did that.

Yes,to each our own indeed, but I will agree that there is a problem with the patches, not the game itself. The only major problem I have ever encountered in my game is the trouble with installing store content and Riverview,I can live without most of the store stuff, but I am missing Riverview.I only installed the silly patch so I could install HELS and Ambitions,EA does seem to be twiddling their thumbs about the whole issue.

I love how most of you guys talk like the Sims 2 never had any bugs and glitches in it,in fact the Sims 2 still has many problems, ones that will never get fixed.I could give a flying flip about what the sims themselves look like(even though I have made many very attractive ones in my game, none that resemble "Shrek")The Sims 2 seems too old fashioned and boring compared to the Sims 3,Bon Voyage was a bore compared to World Adventures.I'm not having any of the problems people describe in their games, and I have hacks and custom content. It's silly to not play a game based solely on what the characters look like, and I think it's even sillier to bash EA and then continue to use their product,if you don't like them or don't agree with their buisness practices then don't play the Sims 2 or 3.

I guess I'm amongst the unpopular minority that actually loves the Sims 3,oh well. rolleyes Recently I had to completely reinstall the Sims 2 and 3 due to an unfortunate unmountable boot volume disaster,I'd have to say that I've spent much more time playing the Sims 3 than the Sims 2(even though I own everything that was released for the Sims 2)The open neighbourhood is fantastic,it's great to actually see one of your sims walking by or going to work instead of some fugly townie, and in my opinion there is much more room for fug in the Sims 2 than the Sims 3,the only way you can make characters look good in the Sims 2 is to load them down with CC.I've made some truly beautiful, non "pudding face"characters once I actually started tinkering around CAS.So flame me if you will, but the Sims 3 is waaaaay better than the Sims 2,people just won't give it a chance, they read all of these threads about ugly characters, bugs and glitches and get scared off.
