Vickylougrl, I know what you mean. Some people can pull off their sims with Maxis skins, but I just hate them, and the Alien skintone has always been awful to me. Fortunately, I have Louis and Enayla defaults to spare me the agony. Rensim.com has some nice alien skins too that I used for a while.

Gorgeous sims, everyone. PeachT, I adore Adhalia. Although she became a girl next door, she still seems to have a bit of angelic quality to her. Vickylougrl, I think the recolored violet eyes are very, very pretty.

Anyway, to contributed, this is one of my current favorites. She is a natural, born in-game sim. She a second generation alien; her grandfather was the one abducted, had her dad, and then her dad had her. ^_^
I'm rather disappointed that I couldn't think up a better name for her at the time of her birth, but this is Venus.


She's in college right now with her lazy musical prodigy of a brother, and her fiance.

I know I'm a bit late jumping in on this band wagon, but after recently reinstalling my games, I finally have some of my good-looking sims back. Right now, though, I only have pictures of my Legacy Founder and his hubby.

Ah! I found the problem. It was something the the CEPs extra files. I took them out, and the problem is solved.

Thanks for the suggestion, but apparently that's not it either. The game still crashed.

And yes, I did download the patch, as soon as I installed the game.

I have Uni, NL, OFB, Pets, and I just installed Seasons. That is when this problem started happening.

To be more specific, it crashes only when I try to view the "Decorations" --> "Miscellaneous" (the button with the three circles). I can select "View All" and see the first page of items, but as soon as I hit the arrow to go to the next page, I can only assume one of the items from the Misc. page is on the next page, and the game crashes again. I can view all other items in the Buy Catalog without problems, including all items under the Decorations tab, except for the ones under Misc.

I have removed my hacks folder; no effect, the game still crashed when I tried to view Miscellaneous Decorations.
I removed any folders containing custom furniture; game still crashed.
I have not yet removed the entire Downloads folder, but I did try removing any folder of custom content that may have affected the Buy Catalog in any way.
I have deleted the Groups.cache to no avail.

Basically, I have run out of solutions, but to no avail. I was hoping someone here might have an idea for me that I have not yet tried. My gameplay is not affected in any other way. This is the only problem I have encountered, in that one specific area, and while it doesn't destroy my ability to play the game, it is rather obnoxious.

The only thing I can think of is an uninstall/reinstall, but I wanted to post here and get opinions first.

After a nice long break from the Sims, I've unearthed all my expansion packs and decided to hop back into the game I love so much. I figured, what better way to get me back into the community than uploading a Self-Sim? 8D

Masochistic, huh?

Anyway, if you want to play me accurately, my Aspiration is Pleasure. I lazy, but very outgoing, relatively nice, and all remaining points can be distributed as you see fit. XD My turn-ons are Brown Hair and Swimsuits (;D boyfriend's a diver).

My ideal home is a modern loft, but I can live in a cardboard box as long as I have a computer and internet.

I wear contacts a lot now, but I've always been known for my signature purple glasses, which I, unfortunately, don't have a picture of right at the moment.

Also, if you ever plan on breeding my Self-Sim (an odd thing to say, I know), just be aware that I throw a killer nose on guys... and not in a good way.

Regina Spektor is a Russian-born singer-songwriter and pianist. I think she is very pretty, and a nice singer, so I decided to try my hand at simming her. She has such defined cheekbones, and they were very difficult to get right, but overall, I think I'm very pleased with her, and I hope everyone enjoys her.

Frankly, I don't care if you steal this sim and claim it as your own. I just hope your small ego gets the tiny boost it needed from stealing a load of pixels on a screen. ^_^
