Try using the Sims2Pack Clean Installer. It lets you get by expansions restrictions sinces the default installer requires you to own all expansions/stuff packs (excluding Holiday) the creator uses. Of courses if a mesh or unedited skin from an expansion you don't own is used, it will not work properly.

Thanks for the no family wants collection. Those permanent wants were a huge annoyance to an "aging off" player like me.

My previous way to deal with these was to add want and fear slots beyond 6 and 3 (no adverse effects noticed) that'd be invisible and edit and lock these wants in SimPe, but that was getting very annoying to set up. Good thing Insimenator has a refresh wants panel option.
