Heya! Okay, it's a download problem, but now I have to figure out which ones are causing the problems. I have one that makes my sims want to bathe all the time, and kiss and hug, and prank eachother constantly! I'll put the updated Insim in the new downloads folder and see what happens, then slowly work my way thru all the other mods. BAH! It's a slow process! I'm happy it had nothing to do with the installation tho. If anyone knows which mods might do this, could you inlighten me please  Thanks! :smt106 |

Heya! I just installed Seasons. I have all other EP before seasons and all the Stuff packs.
My problem is that after installing it and entering a household, especially ones with pets in them, I keep getting an error everytime a pet moves. I had a wolf come onto the lot and the error popped up the moment it tryed to move. This also happens with pets in the household. I have to delete them if I want to keep playing, or unselect them, but that leaves that household with a pet!
Has this happened to anyone else? Do I need an update for something?
I'll try taking out my downloads folder and entering a lot. But if anyone else has had this problem after installing or know of a download that could be causing this, I'de love to know!

ancienthighway, that's good. I thought perhaps I was doing something wrong, though I never had the two of them together.
Well I tryed making a new neighbourhood again and it still crashed. I don't know what to do! This hasn't happened before.
I have all EP's up to pets.
I did try the game update and patches from the Sims2 website, but I don't think it did something bad to it. Luckily I made a copy of my game on disc!
But now it won't let me make a new neighbourhood! And I'm repeating myself!
I'll try something else.
Has this happened to anyone else?

every time I try to make a new neighbourhood, my game crashes (it reaches the second bar then dies). No pop up messages about errors. Just closes.
I tryed changing my downloads folder so it was empty because I thought it might be having problems with all the downloads, but it didn't do anything.
Anyone have any ideas?

UPDATE
Okay, I ran my Hack Conflict. Turns out some files that I, am sure, deleted popped up again in the folder. My Inteenimator and inteen flavor packs have a conflict.

I just finished dowloading them all! Yey! Now I hope my computer won't go funny again, or at least I'm hoping not having the updates are why my computer stuffed up.

Hi there!
I was wondering if anyone new whether any problems come up with game updates from the sims2 website?
I need to update the games I have but I'm worried any of them might conflict with my downloads and Insim.
Has anyone had any problems?

I know this is an old thread, but I can't find anything else.
a month or more ago my game was working fine. I left it for a bit, went on holiday, came back and after a couple of weeks I thought I'd do some game playing. But when I get onto a residential lot with one sim and a house with not to much in it, the 'Protection Error' pops up on my taskbar. My sims never have time to do anything, so I don't think there is anything I downloaded that could cause it. It happened on another res lot too.
The game doesn't shutdown unless you right click the error bar and choose close.
There are 0 hack conflicts.
Could anyone give me more detail on what it is?
