Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Help my basment is flooded!!

I tried moving the lot to higher ground it had no effect. This is not real water, you swim or fish in real water. When my sims walk, yes walk though this water it removes their hair! Next I am going to take out some hacks that I installed yesterday and see what happens.

My basement is flooded and I don't know why. I have been playing for years and I never had a flooded basement. It happened right after a hail storm. I have played for weeks with season installed so I don't think that it was the storm but I could be wrong. I installed both bon voyage and free time this week and it could be one of those. It is not on a beach lot although there is room across the street for a beach lot. And no there are no beach lots. I put the house in my custom bussiness area. If anyone has a clue please let me know.

Wow! That's a real bummer. I have not had this problem myself but I do know that many hack are not compatable with FT, come to think of it I haven't had a sim to vist a community lot since I installed it other than a hobby and vacation lots.

If it is a Sims2Pack it must be installed. To install double click and follow the prompts. If it is a package file, and you have enable custom content turned on, and you have the check for custom content at startup turned off, if all this is true then you are experiancing a problem my girlfriend had. To correct the problem, a do not put anything in any other folder other than saved sims, no subfolder ect and not in downloads. I do not understand the problem but this is a workable solution.

The game will build these folders when you start to play for the first time. FT wipes out all the stuff when it installs because the old stuff is not compatable. If you made a back up before the install of your stuff you can put it back and it will work fine otherwise it is lost for all time.

I had the same problem, it is in your hacks!!! There is two solutions, remove each hack one at a time till you find the culpid (one of these were my propblem I would check them first (mailbox, telescope, time controle clock, and newspaper)) or, turn on game tips each time you enter the lot. The game tips bypass sort of works most of the time but removing the right hack will work always.
