1  The Sims 3 / Pudding Requests / Renovated Victorian Door/Window on: December 05, 2009, 06:36:02 pm
Hello,

If anyone is interested in creating custom windows and doors, I have a few requests if anyone has time.

Bay Window with Heavy White Trim and Embellished Top Panes
Would also enjoy a version with "robbery bars"

See window at left:

I would also love to have the door if anyone is interested.

Sims 3
No EP
Current Game Version 1.7.9

Tried to do it myself using TSR Workshop, but I keep getting errors that close the program.
2  Simmers' Paradise / Sims / "self sims" 2 Adult Femals Sims 3 on: August 30, 2009, 04:24:21 pm
I hope this forum is for Sims 3 as well as Sims 2. If not, please feel free to disregard and delete.

I was wondering if anyone would get time to help me out with two "self Sim" requests, which actually aren't me at all but instead some people I knew in college. I would love to have them in my game. Of course, as a Sims "addict," I would love to have them soon, but I am in no rush.

Game: Sims 3 for PC
Request: 2 Young Adult Females

*For internet privacy, I'd prefer not posting their pictures all over this public forum, but am willing to provide front, 3/4, and profile for the two people if anyone is willing to take this on. I know this limits my chances of getting it done, but I'm willing to wait.

I understand there is little CC available at this time, so I am not as worried about the clothes and hair as I am the body, skin, and facial features. However, CC is welcome.

I've tried to do it myself, even willing to provide my starting point if needed, but I just cannot get them "close enough."
3  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Sim Features on: August 15, 2009, 04:31:54 pm
I'm not really sure where to post this...hope this is the right place.

I've been trying and trying to get a Sim I created to look like an actual person (not necessarily clothes/hair since there isn't much custom content available - or at least there wasn't when I started this "project") but just the features. I got her looking somewhat like the person, but I just can't seem to tweak her to look more so - I know it won't look exactly like her, but I know it can be closer. Anyway, are there any tutorials for Simming real people in Sims 3 (with the new CAS) or any place where I can request help with tweaking? (Hope it's okay to ask that.) I'm growing increasingly frustrated, and I want to get my Sims "right" before playing them, haha.  rolleyes I know.

Thanks!
4  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Family Bin - Edit? on: July 10, 2009, 09:33:37 pm
My goal was to create a "family" of roommates, but I haven't played around with Sims 3 much, so I messed up...now I have one person that I took so much time creating in my family bin.

I've searched for cheats and found a lot that don't work, but I recently discovered the Awesome package, but I'm having trouble figuring out where to put it.

Where do you put the framework? Install directory....I'm just not sure where that is. Not sure if I put it in the right place.

Can someone help? Because I still can't get the cheat to work.

For some reason, I remember being able to "install" package files by double clicking them in Sims 2. Trying to figure out how to "install optional package" - basically trying to troubleshoot.
5  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / One Neighborhood? on: June 13, 2009, 07:22:07 pm
This is quite possibly a very dumb question, but I'm confused.

Am I still in tutorial mode or is there only 1 neighborhood (Sunset Valley) available upon purchase of the game? Seems that this might be the case. If it is, can you edit the roads and such?

If I'm still in tutorial mode, which I might be because of all the popups, how do I get out of it?
6  Simmers' Paradise / Lots & Neighborhoods / Greek Housing on: January 29, 2009, 07:50:59 pm
If anyone has any extra time, I'm looking for a house to act as a sorority house; however, I do not have university.

Here's two. Fee free to pick whichever.

or

I love houses that look like this, but I am so bad at the upstairs especially the windows.

Don't worry about the letters ;-)

Games: OFB, Seasons
Unfurnished is perfectly okay
Free CC is great
Small-ish lot is best
7  Simmers' Paradise / Lots & Neighborhoods / Older House - Anyone want to try? on: October 25, 2008, 10:17:55 pm
I've been trying to build a house, and ugh, I just can't get it quite right. I especially have trouble with those top windows.

Would anyone like to give it a try if you've got some spare time?

Games: OFB, Seasons
CC is great.
Unfurnished is great as well. I don't mind doing this.
Smallish lot

Here is the front of the house: http://i38.tinypic.com/2u5fbsz.jpg

I don't have any pics of the sides and back, sorry. Creator freedom.

Floorplan: http://i33.tinypic.com/2uqm52o.jpg
(The floorplan, haha, is clearly not to scale. My drawing skills aren't that great.)

Here are some specs if you want them:
The main living room (when you first walk in) should be about the same size as the secondary living area (second may be slightly bigger). The kitchen should be big enough to have appliances and counters on one side and still fit people. The breakfast area should be big enough for a small round table. The hallway should be big enough for people to pass through. Bedrooms 1&2 should be slightly bigger than bedroom 3. The bathroom is full even though it looks tiny in that picture. Combo shower/tub, toilet, sink and counter. 1 story. Window on the top is just the attic. Old hardwood floors. Old looking fireplace...preferably "painted" white. I have other ideas, but I hate to limit the creator too much.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks much for anyone that might consider this task!
8  Simmers' Paradise / Lots & Neighborhoods / Request: College Commons on: August 03, 2008, 11:12:43 am
I was wondering if anyone had time, would you mind helping me out and helping me create some college housing? I'm in no rush...just whenever someone gets some time and chooses to take this on.

I could do it based on layout, however, I'm not good at doing multi-residence buildings.

Here are the specs:
Name: College Commons OFB and Seasons Only - I do not have university

This is based off of a real college community. I want each room to be kind of small and "college" like.

Unfurnished is perfect
CC is fine

I would like to use the door lock method to ensure that only the residents of each apartment can enter than particular place.

There are 4 residences in each "building." 2 apartments on floor 1 and 2 on floor 2.

It's up to the creator how you choose to do this. You can just build one building on one lot and I can connect them in my game, or you can build the entire community.

Floorplan of each individual "apartment": http://i36.tinypic.com/20zo307.jpg

Floorplan of Floor 1: http://i36.tinypic.com/20zo307.jpg
Floorplan of Floor 2: http://i34.tinypic.com/2qt8iuu.jpg

Please let me know if you need the layout of the community or what actual building should look like outside. Definitely let me know if you have any questions at all.
9  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Clothing bins on: April 05, 2008, 06:34:03 pm
If there is an outfit that I downloaded that I'd really like for my Sim to wear as formal wear but it's in the everyday section...is there a way I can also put it in the formalwear bin? If yes, how?
10  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Blurry Custom Clothing on: January 14, 2008, 06:39:26 pm
When I'm in the process of creating custom clothing, it looks great in the project view of Body Shop, but as soon as I import the finished clothing into the game, it becomes unrecognizably blurry as does the entire outfit (even if I've just customized a shirt).

I searched for a fix, and I saw where you can edit something in notepad to 0s from 1s and 2s (I know I'm not explaining it well...but I did it correctly when I was following the directions), and the clothes are still showing up blurry in the Create a Sim portion of Body Shop and in the Create a Family part of the game.

Any advice?
11  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / 3 Questions: Security Token, Centering Objects, and SimPE on: January 07, 2008, 07:25:14 pm
(I have OFB only.)

1. I downloaded the Apartment Token from Simlogical (here), and I cannot figure out for the life of me how to use it. I want certain doors/rooms to only allow males, some only females, some only adolescents, others by gender and age. ...I read the instructions, but how do I access the setup menu it's talking about?
In the same sort of idea, how do I give a key to someone for a keyholder door?

2. Is there a code where I can center a hanging light in a room that isn't even as far as tiles are concerned?

3. I've tried downloading SimPE several times, and each time, I click on the icon and it says "Setup files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program." ...But I've tried redownloading it, and it's not working. Any idea what might be up?
