My name is Perry.

I am fifteen years old. I live with my mother and my sister in a three story apartment building.

This is my mom, Ana. She's very blond, in a figurative sense. She likes everything tidy but she can't clean. Therefore I have to do most of the cleaning. She believes owning a car is pointless. If you don't have a man to fix the car it doesn't run. Although I took auto shop last year as an extra curricular activity and it was very interesting. I learned how to recalibrate the pistons and valves in the engine. So I guess you could say my mother and I are opposites.

This is Aubrey. She's very blond too. She's my twin sister. Don't we resemble each other? I'm also very sarcastic. We are fraternal twins, as in we look nothing alike. Anyway, I don't have a dad. Well, I suppose he might be out there somewhere but I gave up on the dream of meeting him ages ago. Anyway, on with the story I'm going to tell you.

I woke up the other day thinking about cars. About the engine and the transmission. I hardly ever think about cars but lately it's all I can think about. I was in my yellow pajama shirt. I wanted to do something. I went out to the apartment swings.

I swung on the swings at sixth thirty in the morning in my yellow pajamas. I saw people walking by giving me strange looks. I could care less about them. That's one of the things I like about my self, I don't care what anyone thinks. I sat there thinking for a long time until about nine o'clock I guess because Ana came out in a fuss.

"Where were you? Do you know how worried I've been?" She yelled.
"I bet you were terrified." I mumbled under my breath.
"What was that? What did you say?" I didn't say anything. "Huh? I'm waiting?"
"I said I'm tired." I was almost sure she could she through that.
"Oh. Well, consider yourself grounded. Grounded as in confined to the lot." I hadn't left the lot since school let out three weeks ago. Not because of being grounded but because I didn't feel the need to.
"Ok." I said back. She huffed and stormed away. I sat down in the grass looking up. I heard a big noise and a moving van pull up. The van stopped and out of the van came a young girl about ten. After her came a boy about my age, he was attractive. Aubrey went out to greet him and gave him a friendly hug. He hugged back. He wasn't attractive anymore.
