1  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Proper way to remove a sim? on: March 24, 2008, 04:25:12 pm
Does it matter how you remove a sim you dont like that you created in CAS?  I guess is it better to kill em off, just bin then delete them or another way with L&D or other?

I am just trying to avoid issues or bugginess.  I am not certain if it matter but I appreciate any advice on the best way to do this.

Thanks

2  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Neighborhood Question please assist on: March 24, 2008, 12:35:47 pm
Hello - I hope this is in the right section.

My sims live in a custom hood now I made.  I wanted to know if this was possible to do without muckin things up.  The sims that live in Veronaville, Pleasantville and so on I never play.  I dont see them show up in my shops either (Downtown or my custom shopping hood).  I guess that is how its supposed to work.

What I wanted to know is.  Can I move them out of the respective town they live in to the "bin" and then lets say remove the neighborhood they were in since I dont use them and give them a new house in my own neighborhood?  I dont want to mess things up.  I guess folks who dont play lets say Veronaville either left it intact or moved them out first then killed the hood so someone should know this lol.  Maybe they wont be visible in my bin, either way I dont play those places but I would like to see them showup to shop if possible.

Thanks for any advice.  I just want to see folks like the Grunt folks show up on occasion or the Roth's from Riverblosson but I dont like to live in those towns etc.  Thanks again for any assistance or advice.

I am not sure if its even safe to remove the hoods I dont play, I hope it is ok though.

PS:  If none of this can be done - shouldnt I be seeing folks from each neigborhood showing up in my shops if the hoods are never touched or deleted and I made my own shpping district?  I dont........
3  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Maternity issue, comm lots - help on: March 19, 2008, 09:28:37 am
Hello

I have installed squinges wear any outfit hack in hopes that it would give me a few more choices for my sims who are pregnant.  What I have done is I have a lot with alot of pregnant sims.  Its my own little challenge of half a dozen pregnant gals in a shelter type setting (dunno how or why I thought it would be fun) any how.  On the lot all is well.  They can wear alot of different clothes and it shows the bump and looks fine.  However this is what I would like to sort.

When my main sim (the shelter caretaker) leaves to run his little side business on a community lot my sims as well as the other sims I have pregnant as townies all show up just fine to do some shopping but they are all wearing the maxis maternity clothes Sad

Yuck!

Is there a way to have them show up on the community lots with the clothes I have placed them in?  Makes no sense to me why it wouldnt work.  I am open to any ideas.  Also if this cant be done with the hack I have (squinges) installed how about if I removed that - downloaded different maternity clothes either maxis recolors or new clothes, worth a shot or will that fail as well.  I ask here for help since I am sure someone here has tried this as pregnant sims and maternity clothes seems to have been widely discussed.  I am sort of thinking if I use JUST recolors this would work better but I dont know of a place that has lots of recolors, the maxis ones are just plain ugly with the exception of the pink Cheesy

Thanks for any and all help it is greatly appreciated

EDIT:  I have also made one gal just to test, got her pregnant to stage 2 and suspended it, moved her out and then made her a townie.  When she shows up on the lot - shes pregnant but shes not wearing the clothes I had her wearing - shes back in the dark maternity clothes.
