Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / Sims 2 Apartment Life Issue

I had to repair windows xp pro yesterday and now my sims2 apartment life is saying "Conflict with Emulation Software". We did some research and we have no emulation software on the computer and we have the original DVD/CD for Apartment life. I couldn't uninstall by the program or add/remove programs, so I read another post somewhere to delete the directory and then remove the program, which worked, reinstalled apartment life and it is having the same problem.
Can anyone help me with this?
I would greatly appreciate it.

Here is the problem...I went to play my sims 2 (btw I have sims 2, Univ, NL, OFB, Freetime, Seasons, BV and AL), it would not launch. I received this error

I ran all my normal virus/malware programs and then tried to launch sims again and nothing and the same message. I tried to uninstall so that I could reinstall AL and it would not let me uninstall. I took the freetime disk and launched it, it told me it was the wrong disk, please insert the correct disk. I put in AL and hit retry and it launched. Then I exited, attempted to run AL and it made the above error and would not go in. So, I again put the wrong disk in again and launched it, and it was again the wrong disk, and insert the correct disk, and put in AL and hit retry and it launched.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

I just purchased, Seasons, BV, FT, and Apartment Life and noticed that there is Vim's Ventilation...I was curious do they work or are they just decoration?

 I used to be able to put any of my sims working at the Robot Crafting table and start making the little misc robots (cleaner, etc), but now I put a crafting table on any type of lot, and I get nothing...it comes up to make one or make many but the sim stands there dumb founded......now if I put one of the other crafting tables in.....toy or flowers....my sim can work on it......what is my problem??? Can anyone help? ? Thanks so much Amberyl

I have sims 2, univ, NL, Pets and OFB. My servos seem to have a malfunction. The only meals that will serve my family is desserts(sp??), is this a problem with the servos or something I can correct?

I have been using for a while, now I have a problem and maybe someone in the Sim world can answer my question.....I have my servos as normal "human" sims and would like to change their skintone....besides going through SimPe....is there a way I can alter the file that christian made....
