I have just built a new downtown for my neighborhood, and I want to do away with the default downtown.  This is an established hood, about a year old.  I know that I cannot package and move residential homes, but it won't hurt anything to package and move my favorite community lots from the default downtown and Bluewater Village, will it?  I want to move several of the Maxian-lots, then delete the default Downtown and just use my creation. Is this possible?

I have a large residential lot that is crashing to the desktop every time I try to load it. I'm running the game on Windows XP Media Edition, and I have a nVidia Geforce 7900 graphics card. I have all the EP's and SP's installed. I recently cleaned out my downloads folder, and I'm thinking that the problem might be related to that, but I am unsure. None of my other lots are crashing, and the game seems to be performing fine.
 
I can't remember exactly what my sims were doing doing when I last left them. I do know that I married or moved in another family because they all show up on the load-screen. Four or five "dashes" will light up to show the lot is loading, and then the crash happens.
 
This is a very old lot that has seen alot of gameplay. I'd say that I established it two years ago.  Because it's large it makes the perfect family farm. So, since Seasons was released, I have played it a lot more than many of my regular lots. The entire neighborhood is over 2 years old (I think I started it new when NL came out, so isn't that about 2 years?) And so I am concerned that this might be a sign of impending doom for the whole neighborhood. This is just my favorite lot, and so it's wearing out quicker than the other ones.
 
Okay, so here's where I'm looking for advice: I don't want to move the family out of the lot if I can help it, because it's such an established lot. I definately don't want to loose my neighborhood. Is there a way I can troubleshoot the lot from the outside (SimsPE maybe?) to tell me why it's crashing? I apologize if this particular question has already been asked, I did look but didn't see one this problem-specific. Thanks for any help you can give me. :worship:

Send your Sim Kids to and old-fashioned one-room schoolhouse. Inside, however, is everything that a modern classroom has, from the computers to the TV cart to "Lenny" the hampter. (My little kids are huge Wonder Pets fans, so of course his name is Lenny!) This classy little schoolhouse is all Maxis except for the hardwood floors. I made them myself, feel free to use as you please. This lot requires all EP's and FFS.
 
Helpful hint for playing this lot: I created it as a residential lot. Create and then move in a teacher. Then use the Summoner on the InSim, or use Inge Jones's Teleporter, or whatever cheat you like to use, to bring the students to school. Everything is there for to meet the children's needs except food and a bed, so they do have to be sent home eventually unless you use cheats to refresh motives. (Another job for the InSim!) :worship:
 
I have no artists pride--so use this lot as you see fit. I created it for my entry in the "Milestones" Contest because I couldn't find any schools that felt "right". Let me know if you like it. I'd love to see "School Pictures."

Hi there all.  Are you looking for an "average" looking sim to live in your town, visit all your new families, eat your cookies, and flirt with all those hot bodybuilder-type sims in your game?  Then look no further than Kristal Sim.  Kristal is not a beauty, but she's cute.  She doesn't have the body of a model or their fashion sense, but she'll make a good gal-pal for your sims.
 
Okay, all kidding aside, here she is.  The skintone, eyes, lipstick, blush, and eyeliner are all from Heleane: www.heleane.com.  The eyeshadow is from PeggySims2.  Everything else is Maxis.  I have yet to find a hairstyle that matches mine yet.  (sigh) maybe someday I'll acutally learn how to skin.

I was rather proud of Alicia. She is a third generation sim. Her father, Thomas, is the child of my sim self and sim hubby. For some reason, all our sim-children have huge cheeks and a weird looking chin, and their children have inherited these traits. All of them, except Alicia. Her mother is named Bella, and she is the daughter of two beautiful CAS Sims I made, Napoleon and Alicia. Alicia the granddaughter looks eerilly like Alicia the grandmother.
