31  Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / Maxis's conversion to Slim BB on: October 22, 2007, 09:31:48 am
You will need to edit the parts that don't show up right as just file swapping likely won't produce satisfactory results.

Custom cars work like a charm in my game, even with BV.

Did you update the hacks such as the inteenimator for BV? If not, this could be why.
35  Simmers' Paradise / Tutorials / Tutorial-Creating Custom Cars on: October 22, 2007, 05:35:54 am
Daz_far, many creators have used premade meshes and made lovely car objects. Just make sure you separate the necessary parts such as wheels, doors, etc.

BTW, I if it isn't too much to ask, I'd love to see the smart car once it's finished as I like the look of them and was actually considering making one myself at one time. If you make it, I'd love to have it in my game as well. Smiley

38  Simmers' Paradise / Tutorials / Body animations tips and tricks on: October 19, 2007, 07:47:19 am
Thanks Marvine! That tutorial will come in handy. Your spiral staircases (and not to mention everything else you make) are amazing. I've been recently creating some new animations however I won't be able to put them in the game until SimPE supports Bon Voyage.
39  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / ChangeLotZoning goof up! on: October 12, 2007, 02:11:24 pm
I'm probably of no help here but I would just recreate it (you may wish to take aerial and regular shots of your lot first. Hopefully someone else here has more to offer in the way of help.

41  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Worth it? on: October 10, 2007, 01:51:02 pm
I'm probably the only one who hasn't actually noticed any bugs with BV. However, I also read some of the horror stories out there. However, Maxis has just released a patch and it's supposed for fix some (not all) of the bugs some people have encountered in this EP.

The vacation neighborhoods were a disappointment because I was expecting more community lots and accommodation options, but you can always add new lots by creating or downloading user-created ones. The swimmable beaches are my favourite part, I think. That's one thing the game was really lacking before this EP came along as our Sims could only swim in pools before. The pirate ship is cool too. I didn't expect the Sims to actually be able to climb aboard and explore it. The new flora is also amazing.

So I would recommend this EP, just because of the cool new additions.

44  Simmers' Paradise / The Shape of Stuff to Come / New Interactions/Animations on: July 17, 2007, 01:42:28 am
Since I got the Sims2 in January, 2005, I have learned to create custom clothing, hair, and eye recolors as well as custom floor, wall, and terrain paint. I got very bored of that soon and decided to start meshing. I did that and made some very basic objects at first, then progressed to animated ones. After playing around with new objects, hair, and clothing, I've decided to go even further and branch out into animating.

I've managed to put some new animations in my game (just testing still and all has gone well so far). So I plan on creating some new interactions, mainly for storytelling and movie making. So look out for some new animations from me in the near future. Smiley
