Open up My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\ and drag the .package and .cache files to another folder.  For some reason, the game likes to corrupt those files, and that will keep your game from running.

Your game will load horridly slow the next time, but it should load!

Great 'hood!  I might make it my retirement 'hood for my elder Sims that I can't bear to let die!

My Sim mothers put the baby on the floor or the crib and immediately pick it up again to nurse it.  I don't remember this happening with previous versions, but at least it works!  

I wouldn't doubt you've got a conflict with InTeen, since mine works reasonably well.

Since that's your primary suspect, just remove InTeen and see if that fixes it.

BTW, I was starting to do something like that.  I have a list of all the files, mesh and recolor, inside each of the Zip files, for your files, Warlokk's, and some of BlooM's older meshes.  Need to get caught up on BlooM tho!  I could send you this list if you'd like...

You're probably thinking of the "manniquin" skin -- yes, that caused crashes, because Maxis never in a million years thought people would want to play Sims with that skin tone, so they didn't bother making a "baby" version.

I haven't heard of anyone having crashes lately due to custom genetics.

You also want to open up the package with Clean Installer and take a picture of any custom content included.  Also list any required custom content (such as meshes or accessories) that aren't included.

If you discover you've got something on the Sim that isn't to be redistributed, you can either repackage the Sim with other content, or "uncheck" that particular item in Clean Installer and resave.  Make absolutely sure you mention any "missing" custom content of this type!

Awesome!  I think my favorite Sim can squeeze her size 36 butt into the Maxis default for this mesh!

Can you cancel if Sims are attempting to spy on their neighbors autonomously?

If you want to add the arch to a collection, you place the file in Downloads, then run the game and add it to the collection.
