Looks good.  I like the enclosed patio.
2  A Safe Haven / General Discussion / Re: What's the last movie you watched? on: December 31, 2009, 01:37:19 pm
Twilight followed by New Moon.

Why?!?! Dear God, why?!?! 4 hours of my life gone... And for what? Vampires that have diamond dust sprayed on them? *Shudder*

The sad thing is that Twilight wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. Once you removed the teen angst and stupid music (PG-13 restrictions prevent me from saying what I really think of the music. They went out of their way to make it "romantic". Epic fail.) it was almost viewable. Why Bella thinks a 100 year old vampire sneaking into her room every night to watch her sleep is sexy I will never know. Every woman I know would stake him for being a stalker. But then there wouldn't be a movie if she thought there was something wrong with him.

New Moon however, is just plain painful. And why is Bella never allowed to drive her own car? Both Edward AND Jacob drive and make her sit in the passenger seat... Again, every woman I know would put her foot somewhere painful on a man for trying to take her car keys away from her.

After watching the setup for both the vampires and werewolves, I'm forced to officially join Team Jacob. The werewolves may have some anger issues to work out, but at least they don't run around eating people.

Now I'm off to watch Avatar in 3D and hopefully purge these memories from my mind.
3  A Safe Haven / General Discussion / Re: Brrr It's COLD!! on: December 31, 2009, 12:03:45 pm
I'm so jealous of you all in the cold. I put my one long sleeve on today in anticipation for a cold day, and I'm really regretting it. Should have gone with my Aloha shirt since I won't be at work tomorrow for Aloha Friday. Sigh. But that'll show y'all for not spending New Years down here in Florida...

Wow Jay.  This is the first Sims 3 sim I've seen that's given me hope that maybe, just maybe the sims aren't so godawful fugly that the game can't be played. If I ever do get sims 3 I'll have to make sure to add her.
6  Welcome to insimenator.org / Rules, News & Announcements / Re: Uploading your Creations - Please read on: December 26, 2008, 12:32:28 pm
Its not uncommon for a furnished 6x5 lot with multiple levels to exceed 150MB as a sims2pack.  I almost threw up when Tigeress tried to send me one via MSN, but if people want to make large houses on large lots they will be very large files.  Limiting the filesize of an upload will of course prevent said lots from being hosted here. Usually people post them on a fileshare site and simply link it from here. Problem soilved.  You can only rar it so much. 7zip is much more efficient at zipping a large lot and I think it can crunch a 100MB lot enough to get it under the 8MB cap.

Moral of the story. 7zip your lots or take the furniture out/switch to Maxis since rar isn't good enough for big lots.
7  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Game crashes when browsing Buy Catalog [RESOLVED] on: July 23, 2008, 10:47:12 am
Aha! This explains the problem I've had, only for me it was the statues and glasses sections.  I was able to get it to go away (temporarily) by deleting all my .cache files. But whenever I'd click on the bad file it would cause the crash next time I went to buy (or some time in the future) so I could never find the file that caused it since there was no rhyme or reason for when it hit.  I'm usually very careful not to download something that is of a higher ep then what I have but sometimes you miss something, or someone doesn't bother to document their work.

I just added BV and FT as well, so hopefully this problem should be resolved for me as well.
8  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Male Hair / A Touch of Gray on: March 17, 2008, 02:06:37 pm
Thanks everyone! Sugah_sim, the model is my self-sim. I uploaded him on the adult site.
9  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Male Hair / A Touch of Gray on: March 12, 2008, 11:08:08 pm
Is your sim starting to prematurely go a little gray?  Try some hair from my Touch of Gray line.

This is a recolor of Maxis hair.

I made this hair for my self-sim, because, well, I'm going gray. But since it wasn't until after college that the gray really started to appear I decided to only have the gray appear as an adult.  Later hair in the series will probably include it as Young Adult, or perhaps even teen, depending on my mood.

Standard rules apply for my work.  No claiming as your own, and NO uploading to the Exchange or pay sites!

Very nice tops! Sexy, yet something you can wear in public.
14  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Sims / The Mod Squad Files: Poor White (PW) Trash on: August 24, 2007, 12:09:54 pm
By popular demand... well... because I felt like it really. No one said anything...  I am proud to present the first character to be uploaded from "The Adventures of the Mod Squad," a story on the adult site.  First up is Poor White (PW) Trash. I know the picture is bad. I'll upload a better one when I can.

PW was intended to be one of the many victims of his evil half-sister Prickles, but he was so innocent-looking I decided to let him live. He is bound to her, and must obey her in her quest for world domination.  He is effectively a side-kick. Ironically, most of their days involve him teaching her how to steal and perform other illegal activities! Technically, he's a villian, but in reality he's just trying to stay alive.

Background:
PW's mother was a prostitute, and not a very good one at that.  She ended up spending half her time in jail or the hospital before Prickles killed her.  Consequently PW had to learn to fend for himself. His primary concern in life is finding his next meal. He knows every trick in the book when it comes to five-finger discounts, and conning a free meal out of someone.  He has a lot of common sense and street smarts.  In fact, he is probably one of the only "villians" in the entire story that when presented with a gun won't accidentally shoot himself. Prickles will never admit it, but he's the only reason she's still alive.  He whines a lot, but is loyal and obedient.  He knows when to be diplomatic, when to fight, and most importantlty, when to cut and run. Nevertheless, he  hopes for a day when he will be free of his sister's tyranny.

Will you be nice to him, and let him run free in your 'hood like he wants, or be mean and abuse him like his sister?

Included:

Eyes by Lliella
Skin by Helaene
Hair by Mermaid Cove

I don't believe a mesh is needed for the hair. In the story he uses Beosboxboy's anatomically correct Maxis male, but I'm uploading him as a Barbie.  Feel free to use any skin you want with him.
15  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Accessories / Superhero Mini-Cape on: June 24, 2007, 04:38:38 pm
So you have a superhero, and she wants to have a cape, but she doesn't want a full length cape you say? Well look no further! We are proud to present to you  the Superhero Mini-Cape!* Now you can look cool while fighting crime!

* Wearing the Superhero Mini-Cape does not bestow any powers on the wearer or guarantee survival in a fight. The makers of the Superhero Mini-Cape accept no liabilities for injuries sustained while wearing said cape.

Only the mini-cape is included in this download, and will appear in the glasses section.

Cape mesh originally made by PAF and was converted into an accessory by Generalzoi.  Both were kind enough to grant me permission to recolor their work.  Get the mesh and the original recolor here!

The meshes are split into age and sex, so this mini-cape may only work on adult females.  For reasons I can't explain it seems to only show up when the recolor is present as well, so make sure you add the recolor from the mesh download as well. This is more than likely caused by my computer being silly, but better safe then sorry I always say.

Do not upload to The Exchange, or claim as your own.
