(secret:) I don’t know if this post should be in this section…it’s not really a recolor of Beos’ and Marvine’s meshes… but it has the same spirit, the male mesh was a development of the SlimBodyBuilder and…I kind of like having a little corner to put on my “crazy stuff”.
 

 
And...Yeah…I know. Most of you will find them an odd couple.
But I think the warrior Michael does a good match with The Justice.
You have two versions: the warrior version, a bit ragged and rusty, and the Heavenly version for the Glory Days.

Warlokk's Hi-Res Alpha Tshirt & Skirt (default size) – I’d love it if you could make the skirt long. I do a lot of “long clothing” and this alpha would be Oh-so-good for a number of projects

Plus Woman’s loose long – You have a separate top upload, with lots of different sizes. I don’t know if you have the same for bottoms but if you do…I’d love a loose long skirt.

I felt like doing something different so here’s something for all Sci-Fi buffs out there.
 
I did not incorporated any weapons and stuff, although there are all “security officers”, because I think that there’s a lot of great weapons and belts and stuff around and each one can add at will.
 
I also wished I could have used a space helmet for the SpacePatrol couple, but I didn’t find any mesh for female.

There are some themes I just don’t seem to be able to stay away from for a long time. Someone asked me for a wig, than I found some interesting textures…and before I knew it this sprang to life.
 
Before you ask me, the background of the pictures is just that: a background picture.
 
The male headpiece is made of two pieces: face paint and a hair – no mesh needed.
 
I know you are up to here with Egyptian stuff but I hope you enjoy it all the same! :angel:

There are two versions of each skin: one for the BodyBuilder and Atlete meshes and one for the normal Maxis, so you can decide how buff you want your cyborgs to be.

These are traditional Russian dresses. One is from Russia, but I don’t know the exact region, the other is from Ukraine and the third one is a traditional wedding dress.

Hope I’m not repeating something that’s been said over and over again. I looked for it, but couldn’t find a definitive answer….:oops:

The question is: if I make a clothing, with a new mesh that needs no expansions, but put in under everyday AND outerwear, people with no Seasons installed are going to be able to open it?

Or does the simple fact of making it “Outerwear" plus something else, implies that you need Seasons?

I was kind of challenged to make some roman soldiers and …well…I’m not the kind to run away from a dare…so here they are: two legionnaires and two Centurions to keep the Pax on the Sims Empire :evil2:
 
 

 
 
Notes on the clothes:
Roman legionary
The Lorica, armour made of strips of metal tied together with leather straps, was very commonly used. It was so heavy that soldiers had to help each other to put it on. They also wore tunics made of chain mail, easier to wear specially in hotter climates.
The baldric is the primary belt design used by roman soldiers to wear short swords.
The strips belt was called a Cinculum Militaire. Primarily ornamental was comprised of studded leather belt with varying number of hanging strips.
(about 100 AD)
The red tunic is the standard issue for the roman legionnaire. However, often when in campaign, soldiers used non-tinted fabrics.
The sandals were used for the long march, the hobnails kept the sole from wearing out too quickly
 
Centurions and other officers wore crests on their helmets so the soldiers could spot them easily in battle and also wore metal greaves to protect the legs.
The leather cuirass is typical of those found in Greek and Roman armament and was design to protect against spear thrusts and sword cuts. The belt or apron, made of leather strips was designed to protect the lower half of the body. It had heavy weights on the bottom of each strip to keep them in place

I know I said that there would be no more Egyptian, but…a made a few more.
So sue me…I like making Egyptian stuff :wink:
 
You can get a new King and Queen and a “Wife of the God”, which is a sort of High Priestess.
You also get two teens, because I’ve heard that teens are very much forgotten on “historical costumes” – I know I have a hard time finding meshes for them.

I felt like a giving a big step back in time and visit the Roman Empire again. :walk:
 
These are outfits that a regular middle to high class family would wear on a daily basis.
I didn’t include any togas as I couldn’t find any meshes out there that would allow a decent folding, so a visit to the Agora is postponed.:dontknow:
 
I included a slave as most families on those classes possessed at least one. This one is specially ragged so let’s pretend this is a family that doesn’t care much about their domestic servant’s wardrobe.
 
The hair is based on a Maxis mesh and can be worn by all ages – sorry, I only did brown.

Introductory notes:
Ever since I first started making clothes for the Sims, I wanted to make the Musketeers. Unfortunately, I could never find a suitable mesh for them so I gave up and decided the next best thing: a re-enactment of the movie The Man in the Iron Mask witch takes place some 20 years latter and the only one still a Musketeer is D’Artagnan.
 
This movie, with Leonardo deCaprio, Jeremy Irons, John Malkovich and Gérard Depardieu was loosely based on the book “L'homme au masque de fer” written in 1848 by Alexandre Dumas, père, and talks about the legend of a twin brother of the Kind Louis XIV, hidden in the Bastille.

Hi folks
 
This is, for me, a time for celebration, as my son is almost “home free”.
 
So I decided it was time to make something to thank all the hard word and dedication of the Insim crew, especially Marvine and Beosboxboy whom I’m constantly bugging to get new meshes – with bumpMaps, please – and who always have a kind word of encouragement and A LOT of patience and humour.
They are both my heroes.:worship:
 
So this is a special project, using only their meshes – I could use a lot more, like a long dress, a coat for the BB… but I’m rambling.
 
I made a story in my head as I was making these skins and taking the pictures, but I decided to let it untold, for you do make your own.
 
A special note and my bows to V1ND1CARE, whose ship “The Ebony Gale” I used as a background for the pictures.

I had promised that I would make things for all Egyptians in your game… and that not only includes all ages but also all kinds of clothing.
 
As people don’t spend all their time in tiaras (not even queens) Egyptians didn’t spend all their time in gala outfits – not even Pharaohs …that would make hunting quite difficult :happy7: ..
 
So, this set manages the two things: you get clothes for just about everybody in the household and you get normal, everyday clothes.
 
Ok, I admit: although we imagine Egyptian society as very glamorous and colourful, the truth is the clothes were very monotonous in their colouring, especially until the Ptolemaic period (think Cleopatra) when the influence of Rome and the textiles from other regions made dressing up more fun.
They dressed mainly in linen from flax, and a loincloth or simple tunic was the everyday outfit of the “normal” Egyptian. Slaves usually worked naked.
Whether you were rich or poor you wore jewellery made of gold or colourful beads and both men and women made up their eyes and lips
Just as a curiosity: the kohl, used in the eyes, had more than esthetical value: it prevented sweat from dripping into the eyes and there was even a time when workers when on strike because there were not given their weekly supply

Anyway, I felt like making something a bit…outrageous, and I can tell you I had a blast creating it. :sign5:
 
So that you don’t think I went totally berserk on you, here’s my little History introduction to the theme:

In Greek mythology the Erinyes or Eumenides (the Romans called them the Furies) were female personifications of vengeance
They were usually said to have been born from the blood of Ouranos when Cronus castrated him. According to a variant account, they issued from an even more primordial level—from Nyx, "Night".
 
Alecto ("unceasing," who appeared in Virgil's Aeneid), Megaera ("grudging"), and Tisiphone ("avenging murder").
The Furies were avenging spirits of retributive justice, and their task was to punish crimes not within the reach of human justice. They were connected with Nemesis as enforcers of a just balance in human affairs. The goddess Nike originally filled a similar role, as the bringer of a just victory. When not stalking victims on Earth, the Furies were thought to dwell in Tartarus, where they applied their tortures to the damned souls there.
The Erinyes are particularly known for the persecution of Orestes for the murder of his mother, Clytemnestra.

Of course, these are not at all similar to what both Greeks and Romans imagined. But I tried to make them incorporate a bit of each one’s attributes:
 
Alecto, the Unceasing, is dressed in black and ready to a non-stopping pursut.
Magaera, the Rancorus, is hooded and cloaked to keep the resentment inside
Tisiphone, the Avenger, wears the red of blood and the skulls of the sineful on her belt and gloves.
