1  Retired Creators / Female Hi-Res Bodyshape Project / where to find low rirse jeans for the hip sizes? on: August 05, 2008, 09:59:45 am
The problem converting low-rise pants, and to some degree undies have the same problem, is the way the texture gets applied to the mesh leaves the pants sagging around the butt, at least when I tried.

Any chance this will make it into a full body mesh?!  It's great. . . even my wife loves it!
3  Retired Creators / BodyShape Requests / organization request on: November 25, 2006, 02:04:30 pm
I'm not sure exactly how much work it would entail (I could only volunteer if I knew) but it would be great to see a forum thread with the clothes organized by size and type, which would make it a lot nicer for finding, say, a swimsuit for a millaJ sim, or some underwear for a 36C-28-38 sim, etc.  Even if it there were just a separate thread for each bodyshape, it'd make keeping things organized a lot easier on everyone, especially since we don't all use the same shape.

I firmly believe that we in the US ought to export thanksgiving and make others appreciate it the way we do.  Happy thanksgiving to everyone outside the US as well!!  Eat the dang turkey!  Eat it!!

will downloading the old bodyshape skintone files conflict with the new hi-res bodyshape skintones?
7  Retired Creators / Female Hi-Res Bodyshape Project / Tutorial: Converting standard outfits to BodyShape Meshes on: October 27, 2006, 04:13:03 pm
wow thanks.  what does "alpha editable" mean precisely?  And how do I tell if something  is "alpha editable" or not?  I did notice that it's hard to find textures to fit onto the china dress mesh to keep it from looking like a funny mermaid thing (with pubic hair for some reason!) so the alpha bmps that I tried to apply to it really didn't do anything except in the bodice part of it.  Does that make it partially alpha editable?

my bad.  This is what happens when you have nfc what you're doing.  I wondered if the bands were a glitch in bodyshop or not.

Is there somewhere that explains all the names of the files when you export the clothes from bodyshop?  I have been playing around with moving the body~stdMatBaseTextureName_alpha.bmp and the body~stdMatBaseTextureName.bmp separately and getting some interesting results, although so far they're pretty random.  It seems like the alpha file tells where to apply the other file, so, in the case of some of the D40 dresses I just uploaded, I used some other alpha file and got the bare midriff effect.  Seemed to work better with the swimsuits and things, but I don't really understand what's going on there.  And also, some clothing has files that don't seem to export the same way or something, they have all these other files, i.e. body_alpha3~stdMatBaseTexturename and the same thing_alpha.  Is this some kind of second layer?  Anyways, clothes that export with alpha3 or alpha5 files don't seem to typically work with this method.  I just thought maybe somewhere there was an explanation of what those files do, so I can maybe get better than hit-or-miss recolours.
And why am I a moo-bunny?!

So I have free reign!  no wife for a week!  well, I miss her, so I made her some dresses for her sims and you can have them too.  Uses warlokk 34dnat-28-40 formal china dress mesh, see above.
12  Retired Creators / Skins for the Skinless / Pixie Demonic on: October 23, 2006, 04:05:55 pm
I've spun out a couple of these skins on warlokk's hi-res meshes, they work for the a-b-c sizes but when I get to the bigger ones there are problems.  If enayla gives permission, I'll post 'em.  They look great!

Don't know what happened, but I deleted all the collection packages and then the game let me make new ones.  Lucky for me I hadn't sorted all the clothes yet. . .
15  Retired Creators / Female Hi-Res Bodyshape Project / *UPDATE 4-30* Hi-Res Bodyshape CAS Collections on: October 17, 2006, 10:10:17 am
I don't know what's happened, but now my game crashes whenever I try and put anything into a collection.  I don't as of yet really have anything in the collections, as the game crashing has tended to stop me from doing that. . . the only thing I can think of is the collection files I downloaded here.  It's the only thing I've ever done with the collections.  Any ideas how I can fix it?
