1  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Problem with Sim owned buisnesses on: June 05, 2008, 10:03:07 am
Thanx for the help MissDoh.

I found an incompatible hack that was in one of the houses I downloaded that escaped detection by the clean installer. Luckily i don"t directly download anything to my DL folder so I explored the package files and the installer was then able to detect the hack that way. Once I manually located the hack in the DL folder, I deleted it and everything returned to normal. It was some kind of phone hack that was apparently conflicting with two other phone hacks that I use and was preventing the employees from working.
2  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Problem with Sim owned buisnesses on: June 04, 2008, 01:30:34 pm
Believe it or not, I actually have a problem that I can't figure out on my own.

All my sim owned community lots have a problem. When my sims call their employees in to work, the employees just come to work and hang out without the green balls appearing over them. The same thing happens when I hire employees by computer and phone. Ive tried selling the buisnesses and buying them back but no luck. If I hire a sim that walks into one of the buisnesses, they work fine. But when I open the buisness the next day, the employees just hang out. Any idea what could be causing the problem?

Nice houses everyone! :worship: I haven't had too much time to do any serious building lately, just modifying some of my older houses for use in my new sub-hoods... But I've got a few new ones in the planning stage for a new hood that I'm thinking about building. :happy8:
4  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / What is the size of your 'Downloads' Folder ? on: October 29, 2007, 12:18:14 am

This is going to sound crazy so sorry by childish question (hey, I'm only 13): Could I have seen into the future and seen the Sims 3? :happy8: :tongue8:

(as you may have guessed, Pleasantview is my favourtie Sims 2 neighbourhood)

Seems more like you were given a preview of a virtual reality version of the Sims... More like a future version in which you can interact directly with all your favorite Sim characters... Maybe the Sims 5 or 10, but definitely not 3... :happy8:

I thought that this was funny... They kissed each other and got these expressions on their faces... :happy8:

7  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Which Sims 2 EP should I get? on: September 11, 2007, 02:39:04 am
Definitely get OFB... Once you figure out how to start up a home business, it's pretty cool seeing all the sims in your hood come over to buy stuff... You can either sell stuff from the buy mode menu or the stuff that your sims build in the included work stations like toys, robots, servos, etc., or a combination of both...
8  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / CC or no CC on: September 11, 2007, 02:18:29 am
I like using CC in my game... I've got over 6 GB of it in my DL folder and am still looking for more stuff to add... I started out with mods and hacks and then added some clothing once I figured out what the difference between a mesh and a recolor was... Then I added custom furniture and stuff like that...

I might not use all of it, and some of the meshes might not be that good, but I keep them in the game just in case someone comes up with a good recolor which has happened quite a few times... I might move some of the recolors to another folder, but I wouldn't dump any of the meshes because some of the sites no longer exist and the creators have disappeared. Yeah some of their stuff does end up in the sims2graveyard, but not all of it... I've seen a lot of recolors of meshes that no longer exist that I would like to use, but without the original meshes, the recolors can't be used...

I've just got too many sims and custom houses for me not to use CC... :happy8:
9  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Pictures / Nervous Subject on: September 06, 2007, 02:46:40 am
Cool pictures...

I didn't give Nervous a makeover and let him keep his mohawk in my game...

I never really noticed an attraction between Nervous or any of the Curious brothers and since he's been married to Lazio's daughter, he hasn't really visited them too much... He did help to raise Pascal's son and Vidcund's twins, but all he really wanted to do was play chess whenever he came over...  Vidcund grew old, married a maid named Gwen and moved out with her and his two alien children...

The only ones that drop in on Vidcund now are Lazio and Nervous's grandson Next which kind of surprised me and Vidcund only visits the sims who spy on him and his two oldest children...

Later on, Cassandra has drinks with a few friends downtown, but her baby tags along:

 My sim kids can't even do that...

I have a beach sub neighborhood with only summer and spring, the penguin always show up in the summer. Maybe you are right, Danny.

I was kind of surprised by it, but there are actually penguins in New Zealand and parts of Australia...

Little Tori Vlashe danced with her mother and...

put her arm right through her head... :smt120
13  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / How can I save houses that I have built? on: August 30, 2007, 02:28:52 am
Quote from: Tomkat;327618
There's a "moveobject stayer" plant/bush on that makes objects stay at move out

Thanx Tomkat... I completely forgot about that site and that shrub. Now I can keep my test sim from stealing the furniture when she moves out of my new houses...
