If it's not loading with the files you most likely have something in your downloads folder that's not compatible with the EP's that you have... I just had that problem... Luckily I had made a copy of my downloads folder a few weeks ago so I was able to reinstall most of my CC and used my history to track down most of the stuff that I was missing...
Sometimes, depending on the amount of ram you have installed, the game might take some time to load... My Downloads folder is about 6GB so it takes quite a few minutes for my game to load...even with 2GB of ram. If I have a bad file, then the game will stop about halfway through "proscribing plebeian palates" which actually happens to a lot of people with GLS installed...
When I download CC now, especially rar files, I download the files to another folder and then copy them to the downloads folder so if there's an incompatible file, I can easily track it down and remove it...

I know I usually build big houses but I have built a few small ones... These are two of the smallest ones I have... 6 beds, 3 baths, rooftop deck and one even has room for a car... Small house without driveway...   First floor view... Kitchen, bath and Livingroom...  Living Room  Small house with driveway...  First floor view... Kitchen, bath and car area...  Back view,,,  To save room I used the the Ascension - Elevator Stairs from MTS2 in both houses but designed the second house with emergency stairs on the back. |

Not a bad idea, DannyRock. Sims are a bit twitchy that way :lol: Yes they do get twitchy... I like to play with them that way... If I notice that the sim that I'm controlling at the time is being targeted by another sim, I'll move my sim somewhere else... The targeting sim reaches the spot where my sim was and stands there with a confused look on his or her face before going off to do something else... If timed right, the targeting sim should begin to go throught the motions of whatever it was going to do at the same time as the other sim begins to move away... |

I haven't done any movie making yet but I suppose you could innitiate a hug by one sim and have the other sim walk away at the last possible second... If timed right the sim doing the hugging will be standing there with his/her arms open while the other sim walks away.

If the CC furniture isn't showing up, then you probably forgot to download the necessary meshes... Though a lot of custom furniture is based on Maxis meshes, some of it does require custom meshes... I used to furnish my houses with only stock maxis stuff but now use mostly CC stuff... The Maxis based CC is the easiest to work with since it doesn't usually have the problem of having oversized meshes...

he first thing that I would do would be to hack into the game using one of the sim computers and establish contact with my controller and then I would max everything out... Next I would create a couple of sim honeys and then control the game from the inside... And hopefully my controller would just sit back and leave the driving to me... unless I got myself into some situation I couldn't get myself out of...

You can change that by using a cheat:
sethighestallowedlevel #
I usually set it to 10 if I'm building a bigger lot. Thanx mstybl95... I'll have to try that... The one problem that I have is that when I build a 5th floor deck that I have to either use the Ascension - Elevator Stairs from MTS2 or an external 4th floor stairway to access it... Sometimes I use both... but it would be nice to be able to have a boxed-in covered stairway to the roof... I'm actually surprised that someone hasn't designed a stairway with some kind of covering for use with roof-top decks... |

WOW!!! Nice Lot mstybl95 Danny: A 4 story house! Goodness, my sims would do very dumb sim-type things in a house that big, not to mention my laptop would probably take it's last breath. Looks like your sims are never bored, though. I'd build one bigger if I could but 4 floors seems to be the limit... but I was able to modify the Curious house in Strangetown to 5 floors with a rooftop deck for some reason...   |

Danny, you must have a monster computer. Mine would just say forget it and cut off. LOL! Nope it's not that much of a monster... Just a slightly modified Compaq Presario AMD Sempron 3200+ 1.80 GHZ with 2 GB of RAM... 104 GB HD... with a 300 GB External drive... :happy8: |

Cool Danny  . I will be looking forward to the ideas. I can't play your lots, they are too big, LOL. Yeah I like to give my Sims plenty of room... lol... This is a house that I'm working on for a possible story... It has 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, Living/dining room, playroom, work room and a gameroom.  It has a lot of custom content in it and even the Sims are custom... This is a view of the kitchen...  Living/dining room...    Playroom...  2nd floor hallway...  4th floor gameroom...  |

Nice lot lewisb40... I am currently working on decorating two houses with a lot of custom stuff that I just found at a couple of sites that I visited while looking for some meshes... I'll be sure to post a couple of pictures of the rooms so you can steal some of my ideas... :happy8:
