Well since my huge computer crash I lost all of my other stories. I waited a while to post a new one until I started one I knew would be able to stick. So here is my newest story. I hope you all enjoy it and please please comment and let me know what you think.

Chapter 1: The Meeting

"Hey Tracy said you could need some help out here"
"Yeah its pretty hectic, there are carts everywhere."
"Well where would you like me to go first?"
"Would you mind taking care of the "Pit" for me?"
"Sure."



I went down to spot on the east parking lot known as the "Pit" its the most popular place for people to park and always full of carts no matter what time of the year it is. Today being Christmas Eve it was quite full of carts waiting to be taken inside the store for the next last minute shopper to take and eventually end up right back outside again. I often wondered how many times in a 5 hour day I would come across the same shopping cart.

Generally on a typical day there would be 2 people to a lot, there are 2 lots east and west. East is a little bit bigger but any manager would tell you they are the same size. Tonight however as usual they failed to schedule enough people to help out on the lots and with closing time drawing nearer it looked like it was going to be one long night. I got my break at the 2 /12 hour mark and spent it chatting with my friend Rene the greeter.

I munched on a Pop Tart and talked to her about her son and her husband who was a night manager at the store. We talked about plans for the holiday and just about anything you could imagine. She wasn't like most adults, she was someone I could really relate to even if she is 5 years older than me.

Our chat was interrupted by that boy who I was sent out to help earlier that day pushing carts up and tapping our rear ends. We looked at him and he shot us a toothy grin from ear to ear and walked back out the door to bring in more carts. Tonight was the first time I've ever met that boy and was really surprised since I had been working there for 4 months already. I knew almost everyone.



"Rene do you know him?" I asked
"Yeah his names Jeremy, he's a good kid but a goof ball." She said
"Ive never seen him until tonight." I said watching as he brought in yet another set of carts.
Rene just watched me smiling.
"I wonder if he has a girlfriend" I said out loud not even realizing it.
Rene laughed.
"I don't think so Kim, He doesn't seem to be the type to date." She said.

We talked a little bit more until my break was over. I went back to the front desk where I was told to go back out onto east lot. Normally I would complain and remind Tracy that I had already been out there for the beginning of my shift but Jeremy was out there and any chance I had to get to know him I wanted to take.

I pushed in a few sets of carts and then Jeremy brought out the cart pusher, this was my chance to really get to talk to him without getting in trouble. The cart pushing machine was a 2 man operation, one at the front of the line of carts the other at the controls. I helped him bring in a few sets and we chatted a little bit about schools and where we lived. I learned he lived in the town of Harris where we worked while I lived out it Pull-burg a tiny little farm town about 20 minutes away. He was a senior in high school and I was a junior. We shared a few interests like movies and some music. He was more of a classic rock fan while I perfered pop and newer music.

While we were talking he pulled out a necklace on a gold chain and asked me if I liked it. I told him it was beautiful and I felt my heart sink.
"Your girlfriend is a lucky girl." I said realizing that he was only ever going to be a friend.
"I don't have a girlfriend." He said looking very timid.
"Its for my mom" He said putting it away in in pocket.
"Oh I'm sorry, Shes going to love it, I know I would." I said.

We helped each other for the majority of the night, I would round up as many carts as I could and he would put them on the cart pusher and take them inside. The store had been closed an hour and we were still working hard to bring in all the carts. During this time one of Tracy's little henchmen were spying on us and we got in trouble for talking too much and being too close together on the lot and were forced to be at least 10 feet away from each other at all times or she would bring one of us in. It sucked to have to follow her rules because we were making a lot of progress with our method.

My shift ended a half hour before his and I stuck around talking to Rene and watching him outside as he pushed in more carts. I felt so horrible that he had to be out there the whole time he was working. After he got off work I met him at the front of the store.
"Hey" I said
"Hey" He said back.
We looked at each other and laughed.
"So what are your plans tonight?" I asked him.
"Probably just going home." He said and started walking to his car.
"Well how about we go get something for dinner? My family is all away at my uncles and I really don't want to go home and be all alone just yet." I said running to catch up with him.
"Sure I guess so." He said.



We got to his car which was an old Jeep and he told me to get in. Normally I would be scared out of my mind to get into a strange boys car but something felt good about Jeremy. We drove around town for an hour before realizing that at 9 o clock on Christmas Eve everything was closed. Finally the only place we found open was a 24 hour Quality Dairy 2 towns over. We went in and ordered some ice cream and sat in his car eating it.

We had a really fun night together and got to know each other better. I felt myself falling for him and I think he was falling for me too. He had never had a girlfriend and he didn't know how to react. Usually girls found him to be too childish and dorky. I liked that about him, he wasn't like most guys and he wasn't afraid to have fun.

When we finished our ice cream he drove me back to the store so I could get in my car and go home. Before getting in my car I grabbed him and gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
"Thanks for the great night." I said and I got in my car.
He stood there for a minute in shock before getting in his truck and leaving.



When I got home everyone was still gone but I didn't care. I ran upstairs to my room and pulled out my blue diary I bought the day before. My first page in it was all about that night and every little detail that happened. I flung myself against my pillow on my bed when I was done writing and I stared at the ceiling and drifted off to sleep thinking about Jeremy.

Chapter 1

Kelly sat down the last box in the kitchen and looked around, she couldn't believe that they were finally moving out of that dump of an apartment into their first home. She heard a giggling noise from across the room and watched as their son Andrew played with his toys in the playpen she had set up in the living room.


 She walked over and stroked his dark hair. He looked up and smiled before saying "mama". Kelly smiled and thought back to the day she found out she was pregnant with him. She was so happy and so was Mason, despite they were 18 at the time and still in high school. They got the apartment together and got married a month before he was born and life was so perfect for them. Kelly couldn't believe how things had turned out and how happy her life really was.


Kelly's trip down memory lane was interrupted by arms wrapping around her waist. She didn't even have to open her eyes to know it was Mason's sweet embrace. She turned around to face him and gave him a kiss.
"I cant believe this is our house." She said.
"Well babe believe it because its all ours." Mason said dipping his head down for another kiss.


They spent the rest of the day unpacking boxes and discussing where things should go and how they should decorate. Before they knew it, it was dark outside and past Andrews bedtime. While Kelly got him all set in his pj's and put him in the playpen to sleep for the night Mason ordered a pizza for dinner. After they ate Kelly decided she would call it quits for the night and head to bed.
"I'm going to stay up a little later, I'll get some of the bigger things put together and stuff like that." Mason said.
With a quick kiss Kelly was gone up the stairs to their bedroom.

A half hour later Mason crept up the stairs and into Andrews room first. He was sound asleep. He stood there for a moment looking down at his son and noticing how much he looked like Kelly. Then he went into their bedroom and watched as Kelly breathed in and out in a perfect pattern. He grazed his lips over hers lightly enough so it wouldn't wake her. "I love you" his whispered. He walked back down the stairs and out of the house. He walked a block before getting out his cell phone and dialing.
"Hey I'm here where are you?" He asked and then paused.
"Well hurry up I have to get home." He said again before hanging up.
He waited nervously until a black pick up truck pulled up and a man greeted him.

Ok so you all know me and I can't stay away for very long after I finish a story. I’m not really in the mood to add more to Kaylynn’s story yet so I’m going to start up the next one I have been thinking of. Just a warning that there are some adult subjects in this story (not too adult I’ll keep it as PG-13 as possible) and there may be the occasional swear word here and there. So you were warned. I hope you like it, and comments are always appreciated!!


Intro

The house was dark when Cassidy walked up the front walk. She knew she shouldn’t be getting in this late and dad wasn’t going to be very happy but she lost track of time and it’s not like she was doing anything wrong, just hanging out at the park with Tiffany, Robby, and Tyler. But in her father’s eyes it was wrong. He didn’t like her friends, he said they were too much into that Goth thing and he wasn’t going to have any daughter of his associate with the likes of them.


Cassidy put her key in the lock of the old weathered and tattered door. She didn’t even get it all the way in before the door opened in front of her and Mr. James stood there with his arms crossed and his face showing an expression that didn’t please Cassidy.


He grabbed her by the hair and pulled her into the house and then just like the house itself everything went dark.

Chapter 1

September 16th
I was reading through this diary and I decided to save it until I was a teenager and starting my first day of school just like my mom did. I feel so weird because my life seems so uneventful compared to my mothers life. She had all this stuff going on, a serious boyfriend who was in college and older than her. She got pregnant with me so young which is something that I really don’t wish on myself because she really had it hard in life but she had so much going on. I barely have anything new to report in my life. It’s been the same old same old for me. I get up and walk my little brother to school then I go to my school and go to class that’s about it. I’m a straight A student who is always on honor roll and I have never really had a “serious” boyfriend. The boy I am seeing now is by far the most serious one I have had yet. He is a nice guy, his name is Jonathan Goodman and he is 16 like me. He grew up here his whole life and we went to elementary school together. He lives about a street over and we used to play all the time my mom even said when were really little around 3 or so we had a fake wedding in our backyard. Mom said we had fake plastic rings and everything. I thought it was kind of weird at the time but now I think it’s cute. Sometimes I secretly think about what it would be like to marry Jonathan. Who knows though we are young and I would really like to go to college before I start a family.


September 24th
This weekend has been going so slow. Jonathan is on vacation with his family in Europe (yeah Europe I know, I wish we had the money to go on that kind of a vacation.) so I have had nothing to do all weekend. I finished up all my homework Friday night which left this weekend a blank canvas to do whatever I wanted. So far it’s just been really boring. I’m happy school is back in session tomorrow.

November 2nd
I came home from school early today. I woke up and almost couldn’t get out of bed but I have never missed a day of school since I was 7 and got the chicken pox and my mom made me stay home. Today I was so tired and weak I think I’m getting a cold or the flu. Which really sucks but I’m sure it will go away fast. I have never really been one to get sick.


November 6th
I have been home from school every day this week. I have never felt so sick. Mom says that if I don’t get better this weekend she is going to take me to the doctors. I can’t eat or do anything, I barely have enough strength to hold this pen while I write. I have done nothing but sleep for the past 4 days. Today I had to get up to go to the bathroom and I got dizzy and fell and hit my arm on the bathroom counter, not even 5 minutes later I had a huge bruise on my arm. It hurts so bad. I noticed a bunch of little ones on my legs too. I have no idea where they came from. Well anyway I feel myself getting dizzy again I think I need to go back to sleep. On a good note Jonathon comes home tomorrow. I have missed him so much. I just hope I’m well enough to see him.

Chapter 1

"Well here goes. We are the Taylors. I'm Scott and this is my wife Kelly. We are both 32 years old. We met our junior year in college. We didn't date right away just became close friends. I was the RA in Kelly's dorm. Graduation day was the day we decided to make the plans to go on a date and have been together ever since. We got married 5 years ago and decided right away to start a family. We moved to a nice home in a nice community and started trying for a baby. We got pregnant within the first 3 months but when she was 7 weeks along we lost the baby. We tried again for the next 3 years with no luck. We saw a fertility specialist who told us that because of Kelly's progesterone level she would never be able to carry a baby to term. We coped with the news and then decided to take on the world of adoption. In
only 2 short months the agency we filed through called us and said that there was a 15 year old girl who was 8 months pregnant with a little girl and wanted us to be her baby's parents. The baby was born 3 weeks later. We brought little Alexis home and after 3 days the birth mother decided she wanted her back. We had no choice but to give her back. After waiting almost another year for someone else to pick us we are here, looking into international adoption."


"I'm so sorry about everything that has happened for the both of you." Said Mrs. Weslo the adoption attorney the Taylors had made the appointment to see almost 2 weeks ago. She was an nice woman probably around their same age. "I think that international adoption is a smart choice for you, its one of the most easiest adoptions there is." Mrs. Welso continued. "Thats good, I think its really what we are looking for." Said Scott. "Well here are a few forms for you and your wife to fill out and then I will get you into the computers and get your profile going. From there we will match you up with different children who match your specific wants." She said. She excused herself and the Taylors were left alone to fill out the paperwork. "Well hunny are we ready for this?" Scott asked looking at Kelly. She looked back at him and just nodded her head. She had been so nervous about the whole thing she wasn't sure what to say. Scott filled out the paperwork and then him and Kelly signed. Mrs. Welso came back in and said her goodbyes to the Taylors and started working on their file.


The whole way home Kelly was quiet. She had barely said 2 words since they woke up that morning. Scott knew she was scared. They had already lost so much they had no idea what type of risk they were taking in this endeavor. They had waited so long to have a baby and now they didn't even know if they would get a baby through this, they may only have older children. Kelly was just so nervous. They got home pretty late and decided to order take out from their favorite Chinese place. While they were eating Kelly broke down in tears. "I don't want an older child Scott, we have a nursery set up, I just want a baby." She sobbed so hard Scott thought she was going to hyperventilate. He went over to her chair and gave her a big hug and kiss. "Sweety I'm sure Mrs. Weslo will find us a baby. She knows thats what we are looking for. She will do what she can for us." Scott said. Kelly looked up at her and smiled. She felt safe in his arms. She felt like nothing could go wrong.
