3  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Apartment Life Chat / Secumrom and AL on: September 04, 2008, 10:59:40 am
Okay, now I'm confused.  Even without installing say Spore, just with FT or the like, it probably ninja updated Securom through something like that damn start up 'window'?

Just clarifying.  I'm not the computer type in our little family. Tongue

Bleah... So, AL has the same one that Spore is supposed to?

*sigh*

Thanks for the answer.
5  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Apartment Life Chat / Secumrom and AL on: September 04, 2008, 10:06:28 am
I was just wondering which version of suckurom AL had.  I understand that another version with the 5 install max is coming out with Spore and Sims 3, but does AL have the same one as BV and FT?

The reason I ask is that I had no idea of Securom's existence until after I had BV installed for ages (one of the few who's computer continued normally it seems) and my husband knowing my Sims addiction surprised me with a copy of AL.  If old Securom, I'll risk installing.  If new, I'll probably stick it on a shelf and let it collect dust.  Good thing my hubby won't be able to tell that I'm not playing the expansion or not. 8  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Apartment Life Chat / So has anyone gotten Apartment Life yet? on: August 27, 2008, 04:27:10 am
The expansion comes out in Sweden on Friday, so I'll probably pick it up this weekend.  I'll install it on my old laptop to fool around with it though.  That way, I'll keep my FT sims going until some of the hacks are updated and hopefully a patch or two for the inevitable bugs.
9  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Playing with Refridgerators on: June 13, 2008, 05:51:43 am
I seem to have somehow lost my hack for stopping fridge fiddling. Or maybe it quit working with FT. Are there any such hacks still available. My silly sims seem to prefer juggling bottles from the fridge or swinging the door around to any game, TV, etc..

I have to say that was blindingly quick. Smiley

When talking with a random stranger you
a) have an image in your mind of your very own social bar going from green to neutral
b) have thumbnail image in your mind of the person and seeing a short term relationship score advancing beneath it.

Thanks, Squinge!

I love your extensive hack collection.  I know that if there's a sim behavior that makes me feel like ripping my hair out, I can just look here and problem solved.
14  Resident Creators / EP5 Mods / Orchard Trees don't go Dormant in Greenhouse on: May 26, 2007, 11:31:08 pm
Ooh! Awesome Squinge!  It struck me as ridiculous that the trees went dormant in the greenhouse!
15  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Left to their own devices... on: March 01, 2007, 02:36:02 am
When you give them free rein, what do your sims choose to do?

Mine, in a well furnished house with plenty of fun items.. gather in the kitchen (usually in front of the sink) or in the bathroom and hold a 'mutual congradulation' party with the occasional dirty joke thrown in.  Or if a child is present, they'll stand around him/her and shuffle over who gets to 'dance together' next.  All this with the 'desperate need' tantrum between their turns.

I've occasionally let them go to see how far they would take it. I've had 4 of them pass out which left the last sim standing to stagger off to bed, several accidents, and in the case of the child trapped with the 'dance together', leave the mortal existance. Tongue

So, is this true of most sims or are mine just freaks in desperate need of micromanagement or some of Squinge's 'no autonomous' mods? Tongue
