1  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Can't open cheat window... on: May 08, 2009, 11:15:46 am
Well thanks.  I tried searching but it came up with a ton of stuff.
2  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Can't open cheat window... on: May 08, 2009, 10:47:52 am
I just bought a new laptop and re-installed all of my Sim games.  When I played yesterday I tried to access the cheat window but it didn't pop up at all.  I tried several times but it still wouldn't work.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also, I have another question.  I can't seem to move the camera up and down anymore.  On my old laptop I would just press between the touchpad to do it but now I can't.  Is there any other way to do this?
3  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: what car does your sims own on: January 03, 2009, 03:10:26 am
My main family owns an 1993 Nissan 240SX convertible.

I use that car for my teens.  I don't have the convertible though.  Did you download a convertible version somewhere?

Other cars I use for my teens are usually VW Golfs or Chevy Cavaliers.
For adults and whatnot I use everything.  I have beat-up Pintos, Eclipses, Mustangs, etc.  My favorite is the DeLorean.  That's the car I want to own someday...Flux Capacitor optional. Smiley
4  A Safe Haven / General Discussion / Re: Songs that drive you crazy.. on: January 02, 2009, 09:03:31 pm
I hate when people ruin songs that used to be perfect...A prime example is "reach out and touch me" by hilary duff...not only is this talentless cow ripping off the wonderful Depeche Mode's song Personal Jesus, but she couldnt even be bothered to rip it off properly and ends up making an idiot out of herself by singing the wrong lyrics. It isnt "Reach out and touch me", it is infact sang as "Reach out and touch faith".

Surely you jest.
That is wrong in every sense of the word, and the fact that she can't even get the lyrics right is just pathetic.
On a related note, have you heard the cover of Personal Jesus done by Johnny Cash?  It is amazing.
This is an example of a good cover:

Well are some songs that drive me up the wall:
-Afternoon Delight by the Starland Vocal Band.  Although I love the version on Anchorman.
-You're Beautiful by James Blunt.  Could that man sound any more whiny?
-Crank Dat Soulja Boy or whatever.  It makes me want to commit violent acts on some poor innocent bystander.
-We Built This City (On Rock and Roll) by Jefferson Starship
-Achy Breaky Heart by Billy Ray Cyrus.  His spawn isn't that much better either.
-Anything by Fergie, Jonas Brothers, and all of the other flash in the pan sensations that have been forced violently upon an unsuspecting populace.

I would rather hear Raffi's Banana Phone ad nauseum for the rest of my life than listen to any of those songs.  Actually I have Banana Phone as one of my ringtones that plays whenever my dad calls me.
At least that song makes me laugh.

I redownloaded all my hacks and everything seems to be working fine.  I must have accidentally downloaded an outdated one or something.  Well, thanks for your help everyone! Smiley

I haven't tried it on any of the other lots but once I removed all of my hacks it worked fine.  From what you're saying it sounds like I accidentally downloaded an outdated hack in my downloading frenzy.  I'll redownload current ones and see if that works. Smiley

Okay, I have isolated the problem and it seems to be a hack that I have.  Does anyone know what would cause this error?  I'm thinking it might be related to InTeen or something.  Anyone have any ideas?

I'm not sure because it was different every time, but now I'm not getting the error message anymore.  I also have SeeThem2 and I turned off the shift+click option (the option that works the same as boolprop_testingcheatseabled true) and that's when the error message disapperared but I'm still having the same problem.

I think I'm going to try to uninstall and reinstall Seasons and see if that works.
:dontknow:

My computer recently crashed so I had to replace all of my downloads.  After reinstalling everything I have run into a little problem.  I created two new sims and moved them into a lot and all of the social interactions appear alright but as soon as they get lightning bolts for attraction almost all of the interactions disappear.  The only ones available are entertain, appreciate, hug and a couple of others that I don't remember.  There is also an error message pop-up that appears.

The only ep's I have are Uni, Nightlife, OFB and Seasons and I have InSim and InTeen for Seasons.  I installed the same hacks that I had before and never had this problem.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks. Smiley

This is the greatest thing.  Ever.  I can finally have my revenge on that old bat. :evil1:  I thought she would be long dead since Sims 1.  (Curse you, Nightlife!! angry )  When the end of the world comes, the only thing left on this planet will be cockroaches, Wal-Mart, and Mrs. Crumplebottom.

Thanks again for this.  Cheesy
