I am worried about Sims 3 too.  The new SimCity release, SimCity Societies is just plain miserable. If this is how EA maintains one of their best known franchises, I am not looking forward to the Sims 3.

I am spent a month trying to play SimCity Societies and it was just rife with bugs. I knew I was in trouble when the first patch was waiting for me on the day it went on sale.  It took about 2 weeks for me to get it to work on a fairly high end PC with 2 GB RAM. I had to download new drivers and upgrade .net and C++ executables. I can play it now but the game locks up my whole PC until the city gets beyond a certain size. That is kind of the reverse of the problem you would expect.  They finally put up patch number 2 on December 21, way too late and probably after most people stopped caring. If you want to see how bad it is, scan through the titles of the irate posts in the tech support forum.

Perhaps people will keep playing the Sims 2 and making things for it since it looks like you will need a state of the art computer and a lot of patience based on my experience with SimCity Societies. The SimCity Societies graphics are pretty amazing when you can get it to work and you can see the Sims walking through the city. Their walk changes according to their mood. The sad thing is most people won't be able to appreciate all this since they will have to dumb down the graphics to get the game to work on their PCs.

I love this hairstyle too. I spent my childhood in it.

What I have noticed about the Sims Artist Union is that most of the access problems happen at night in the eastern U.S. I have had the most success getting into the site early  in the morning on weekdays from 5 AM  to 11 AM EDT which is 9 AM to 3 PM GMT.

The latest  recolor with the Desiree thumbnail went up at MTS2 around 8:30 PM  East Coast US time which was probably sometime early Monday morning in Europe. Yes, this hair style is suits her the best of the recolors I have tried her with so far.

These recolors were done for the Natural Redhead Project to make more hairstyles available in the beautiful natural shades of red hair.  It may seem odd to put shades that range from rusty blonde to brown red in the red bin but the goal is to make the full spectrum of red shades available to genetic redheads.

Note: the auburn shade runs a much "hotter" than my other recolors. It is my attempt to capture the magical moment when average brown hair suddenly explodes into red highlights. This photo of Frish  from the Natural Redhead Project says it all. I am not sure if I am there yet but I will probably keep on trying.

Yes, she really is a blonde this time. I didn't have to make red recolors for this set but I did make  light blonde and black shades.

Pale blond and black recolors plus three shades re binned. This unique short hair mesh came with an unusual set of colors. Pale blond and black shades were not included so I made two recolors in those shades.

Reloading or Re binning: Some of the colors in this set were also binned in unexpected locations. Peggy Zone (formerly Peggy Sims 2) included a beautiful dark brown with the mesh but it was put in the black bin. There was also a wonderful copper red shade that ended up in the brown bin and a Peggy's lovely golden red that was binned blond. I moved the dark brown to the brown bin and the red gold and red brown to the red bin. These re-bins won't replace the original Peggy Sims 2 dark brown, red brown or gold IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THEM. If you downloaded Peggy Sims original dark brown and my dark brown, you will have a copy of that shade in the black bin AND the brown bin so you will probably want to delete one of them.


I did not add natural elder shades. Onah at MTS2 also recolored this set in several different colors and added natural elder shades.

If is amazing what a difference the textures make! This is great because I never used this hair style much since the old Maxis textures were so ghastly. That was too bad since it is such a fun mesh with great animations.

If all of us who enjoy using Desiree post pictures, she will have quite the portfolio here. Depending on how you pose her, it brings out different qualities. It sounds silly but I think she looks quite intelligent in photos I took. It must be the eyes and eye makeup that you chose which give her a more soulful quality than most sims.

I posted my recolors with Desiree as the adult hair model. I love her facial structure! I do think she is at her best with the Louis/evanesco hair that you chose.  Thank you so much for letting me use her!



While I was working on my photos, I noticed that the face on Desiree's male form is also rather attractive!

Thirteen recolors in four red shades of Peggy Zone (formerly Peggy Sims2 ) DONATION Short Hair Bob with or without the ornamental band or ribbon. The ribbon/band on this mesh is great for recoloring, retexturing and alpha editing! I added some different patterns on the band and also made an alpha edit of a filigree-like head band. The hair textures are Peggy Sims 2 original textures.
