1  Simmers' Paradise / Sims Stories / The Montique Legacy: CHAPTER 4 on: January 06, 2009, 09:08:43 am
Warning: Picture quality isn't so great. You'll be able to see walls that are down, the sky, plumbbobs, etc.
Story quality isn't the best either. There really isn't a major plot or an important message in this story. The storyline is based on what happened in-game, with minor changes.

Taneesha Montique, a popularity sim, was rich and popular. She got everything that she wanted. Until one tragic day, her house caught on fire, losing everything. She was poor and homeless. Feeling sorry for her, her neighbours decided to help her out by giving her one of their properties.

When she arrived, she realised that not only was the property bare, but it was a town completely filled with Maxis items, Maxis clothes, and Maxis townies!

How will Taneesha cope?

The Montique Legacy
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Chapter 3
Chapter 4

Extra Info:
Chapter 1
Edited Chapter 1. Added title and centred everything. Let me know if you prefer it not centred.
Chapter 2
Sorry about its shortness!
Chapter 3
Is finally here!
Chapter 4
Has arrived after several month's absence!

The neighbourhood has no CC apart from the CC on Taneesha, Taneesha's hair in a couple other colours, default skins and default eyes.

Comments
Thanks for your comments everyone! I would write this in a separate post, but that would either involve double posting, or posting the thanks before Chapter 2, and I don't really like adding extra comments that aren't relevant to the story in the story post. I know legacies are hard to keep up, and hopefully I can keep this one up!
2  A Safe Haven / Forum Games / Define the Word. on: January 06, 2009, 07:24:02 am
For those who like making up/reading funny dictionary definitions.
Or those that like reading dictionaries  Undecided

Okay, the first person posts a word.
The next person defines the word, and provides another word to define.
Now, people. We aren't looking for the ACTUAL dictionary meaning, because what's the fun in that?

Example:
Person 1: Idiot
Person 2: Someone that googles google.

I'll start off with a word.
Define: Radio.
3  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Trouble Installing The Game on: May 25, 2008, 02:24:22 am
I smartly bought a version of The Sims 2 in a different language, and to get it to work you have to go through a special process that involves copying the contents of the 1st Sims 2 disk to the C drive. As I was doing this, an error message popped up saying:
Quote
Cannot copy compressed: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)

I have installed this version of The Sims 2 onto my old computer with no problems.

I had the same problem when installing Makin' Magic. However, I didn't have the problem with Sims Deluxe or any of the other Sims 1 expansion packs, I think. I installed them all, but when I got to Makin' Magic, the message popped up and erased the base game and the other expansion packs. Then I just installed Sims 1 (with no expansion packs), and it works fine.

I installed another game on the comp, and when I loaded it up the computer crashed, but the message didn't pop up. This game that I installed worked fine on one of my old computers that was REALLY old and REALLY slow, so I have no idea why it didn't work on this comp and the sims 1 did, since I'm pretty sure that the game took up less space on the comp.

Anyone have any ideas?
I hope I didn't confuse anyone :S
I'm confused myself, lol.
4  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Question about moving files on: April 25, 2008, 11:56:39 pm
My C drive is nearly full so I was wondering if I would be able to move the Sims 2 folder that has the downloads and other folders to my d drive and the game would still work?
I want to download more CC but there's no room on the C drive.
5  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / How do I back up the sims 2? on: July 21, 2007, 08:52:44 pm
I bet this has been asked loads of times before, but I couldn't find any threads like this, and if there is I'm really sorry.

How do I back up? I only have the base game (on this comp) at the moment and am about to install more. I tried reading the read-me but most of it looked like this:
â»Ãá¡ÃÁ·ÕèÊ觼šÃзºµèÍ¡Ò÷ӧҹ¢Í§à´ÍЫÔÁÊì 2  ¢ÍãËé¨ÓäÇéÇèÒºÒÃìàÅ×è͹´éÒ¹¢éÒ§¨ÐäÁè»ÃÒ¡¯ãªéã¹ÇÔ¹â´ÇìâËÁ´ ¶éҤسÁÕ»ÑËÒà¡ÕèÂǡѺÀÒ¾¡ÃÒ¿¿Ô¤ ãËéµÃǨÊͺÇèÒà¤Ã×èͧ¢Í§¤Ø³à«µÊÕà»ç¹ 32 bit ËÃ×ÍÂѧ

And I can't read gobbledegook, as much as I would like to. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for reading.

7  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Is this normal? on: May 30, 2007, 02:55:37 am
Hi. Sorry about the bad title, it was all I could come up with. I'm sorry if this has already been asked, I couldn' find any similar...

And I'm sorry if it's in the wrong forum!

Well, I've been wondering if it's normal for the CC make up and hair is meant to look fine in Bodyshop and blurry in-game. Here's an example:

Bodyshop:

(Don't you love my photoshopping skills? Heheh)

In-game:

Is this normal? The dress went all distorted too... Is there a wayh of changing it?
