I don't know where else to put this post. But its kinda close to the topic... ik think... Oh well....
etc etc
What's wrong with this guy?!?! There's no TS4!!! TS3 isn't even out yet!!! This annoys me! Can anyone suggest anything for me to tell this guy?!?! He makes it sound "believable", which annoys me a lot!!! He even sez that I gotta "special order" it! I don't wanna get him mad at me because I'm saying that he's a liar, but... Oh!!!! Help! No, he doesn't make it sound believable. He's an idiot, who gets a charge out of saying stupid things. The internet seems to be full of people who enjoy lying about the dumbest things...

I'm really glade you posted the info regarding Windows 7,because I knew nothing about it until now.My computer will be 2 years old this month, and I will be purchasing a new computer from ibuypower.com because they have some really great prices, but I will probably wait until The Sims 3 comes out to purchase and maybe by then Windows 7 will be released. It won't be out by then, I don't think, but we'll probably have moved past the "buzz" stage and be hearing some solid information...XP's product sales life ends in June, so I imagine by septemper/october MS should be putting out some official press releases

I'd actually be happy if my updates for TS3 came to around $300. I suspect that it could be much more. There seems to be a lot of sales tax or something on computer parts in Australia, because I can't see a good video card being under $250. Like so many others I'm worried about the spec's. If it needs a dual core processor, new operating system, video card etc etc I might just as well get a new computer. Here that means at least $2000. All I'm left with from my old one is a hard drive and dvd player! I live in hope that the 'granny's laptop' quote will mean my perfectly good P4 system may run the game adequately on medium settings. Here's a direct X 10 card in Oz for about $100... http://www.pcmarket.com.au/9868_ASUS_EN8500GT_Silent_Magic_HTD_512M_nVidia_GeForce_.phpand free shipping!..... I am not in Oz but do a google search and I'm sure you'll find more dealers with decent cards....that's the first dealer I pulled up... And I feel bad for people who will have financial struggles to upgrade their machines, but the MS is ending the product life of XP and so soon nothing is going to be written for it...If you only want to run old programs you will be fine, but for everything new you are going to have to upgrade....MS extended the lifespan on XP six times so in fact we got a lot more life out of it than was expected....but don't rush out and get Vista yet, as there's some buzz that Windows 7 (the next one after Vista) is coming much sooner than expected....and will be superior to Vista....The fcat that many large corporations and governments are refusing to use Vista is forcing MS to bring out Windows 7 sooner than they wanted... UPDATE... here's a good system that will run Vista or XP...starting at $700...Remove components like the keyboard(use your old one) and it gets cheaper or you can bump up RAM and what not with the savings http://www.techbuy.com.au/p/79018/SYSTEMS_GAMING/Techbuy/TBOS79018.asp

I'm in the wait and see camp....
I'm a huge fan of Neverwinter Nights 1, but I think the second one is rubbish...and I am hoping sims 3 won't follow down that path...prettier environmental graphics but such ugly, ugly avatars....
But speaking of NWN, I would have loved to see the sims 3 take the NWN model of Multiplayer. No central game world, but I could invite you and maybe 8 or 16 other people into my neighborhood (hosted on my machine) and you could do the same....with some sort of site to match hosts with guests, a la Game Spy or some such...sadly this isn't going to happen...
That said in both NWN and Sims, I'm a CC junkie, so they are gonna need one seriously powerful self customizer widget or the ability to add CC from other users or I'll never get into it...I hadn't played the Sims 2 in a couple years, then just on a lark I stumbled across this sight, and it was CC creators like Warlokk, Marvine, and Beos who got me to reinstall the whole shebang and get all the EP's and SP's....
I have high hopes, tempered with lowered expectations....

I dl'd, just click the top button and it can be figured out...I can read the Cyrillic alphabet (if not the Bulgarian language) so maybe that helps but it's the top button( not the British flag one)....Just click a button and if you see a place to enter a spam-proofing code, that's it...
My question is, what makes it such a huge file? compressed it's 70+mb, and uncompressed its a 212 mb self installer.....
I also installed it and am getting quite a few objects and especially all the floors and many walls doing the blue flashy something's missing thing...
anyone have any ideas on that?
