1  Simmers' Paradise / Mods & Careers / Plantable Crops? on: April 04, 2015, 05:22:35 am
Hello everyone!

Given that TS2 has been out for so long, I was wondering if anyone had figured out how to re-mesh the crops that came with Seasons, or how to create new ones. I would love to see the crops from TS1, TS3 & TS4 as part of TS2. Could someone please make this happen?

I know that Echo's wonderful crop set is available, but I was looking more for a plantable item versus one that could be found in Buy Mode.

Thank you.
2  The Sims 3 / Pudding Requests / World Editor Lots: Size Match for LN Club Lots on: May 18, 2011, 07:38:39 pm
Hello folks.

I know there have to be others out there who are tired of having to place 47x32 club lots on 50x50 world editor provided lots because they are the only size that will accommodate them.  Could someone please make world editor lots that match the dimensions of the clubs?  Thank you!
3  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Late Night has caused problems with vacations on: December 06, 2010, 06:10:50 pm
Hello folks.  Hoping you could help me with a little problem that I've been having since installing Late Night.

I have all of the expansion packs installed (no stuff packs).  When I installed Late Night, I removed all of the custom content, booted up the game, created Bridgeport and sent one of my sims on vacation.  Everything loaded, however when he arrived, his picture wasn't on the sim panel, the family funds were at $0, and I couldn't click on anything.  Time progressed, there was sound, but no sim.  His motive bar (the big green one) was frozen at 50%.  I came out, restarted, recreated Bridgeport and tried again.  Same result.  I deleted the town, created a new one, sent the sim on vacation and everything was fine until today...

I sent a new family (husband and wife) to China.  They stayed three days and were sent back home, but when they returned home only the husband was accessible, but he had the same no picture, no access to the sim panel, 50% motive issue as the last one, except this time the family funds bar was totally blank.  I reset the lot and...nothing.  I tried to merge that family with another and it hung up.  Shut down, restarted, they were still pictureless.  When I tried to access any families that were related to them, it showed that the houses were empty (Huh?).  Anyone else having problems vacationing since installing Late Night?  I really don't want to lose that neighborhood.  I'm four generations in and I usually never leave them alive...er...make it that far Cry.
4  The Sims 3 / Pudding Requests / Cook Club & Food Truck Foods at Home on: October 29, 2010, 11:51:50 pm
Howdy gang.

I know that Late Night is still very new, so I'm not expecting this to show up yet, but I'd like to put it out there.  The new recipies look very interesting, but I don't necessarily want my sims to spend $4 - $50 on dinner shocked.  I'd like for them to be able to make these wonderful meals at home.  Hope that this is something that can be done!  Thank you in advance.
5  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Problems Ghost Hunting Abroad on: June 20, 2010, 03:34:09 am
Hello.  I was wondering if anyone else had this problem.  My sim is at level 10 in the Professional Ghosthunter career, has received his spirit scanner, etc., but cannot capture spirits when he's traveling abroad.  I understand the logic behind this, because being on vacation you wouldn't have a need for your work uniform (and I'm guessing your Banshee Banisher, d'oh >_<!), but it's annoying being able to see spirits pop up on the map by activating the detector and not being able to do anything about them when my sim is in France, Egypt or China.  Is this a glitch or one of those "logic rules" situations?  Thanks.
6  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Genetic oddities on: February 13, 2010, 02:22:18 am
Hi folks.  This really isn't a cry for help as much as it is a (comedic) vent.  If anyone else has experienced any genetic oddities in their game, feel free to share.  It's good to know that you're not alone Hug2.

In the past, I've created sims and saved the ones that I've found really attractive/interesting to reuse as a premade base later.  And this is where my saga begins...  In short order, these are the characters I'm playing with:

Male - Dark brown hair, blue eyes, light skin (made from a saved sim with strawberry blond hair, blue eyes, light skin). No family ties and no inherited anything.

Female - Black hair, brown eyes, medium skin (her mother has black hair, green eyes and light skin/father has black hair, brown eyes, darker medium skin. Neither parents have any genetic ties other than their children...although the father is claiming to be a descendant of Queen Hatshepsut...ah those whacky, whacky challenges)

Child of these two - Brown eyes, medium light skin and...strawberry blond hair....WHAT?!  Lol!  I changed dad's hair color in CAS when I created him, why is her hair still strawberry blond?  This has randomly happened before with eye color, but I never really noticed it until my two dark haired parents produced a strawberry blond daughter.  Anyone else have any genetic oddities that they'd like to share?
7  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Sound issues after installing WA on: December 20, 2009, 03:12:31 pm
Hello.  Lately I've noticed that when my sims are in their home neighborhood (Sunset Valley in my case), I will suddenly lose all sound for about two or three minutes.  It eventually comes back, but there will be about five seconds of catch up sounds of all of the clicking, crying, talking, music, etc. that occured during its "mute time."  Usually nothing will happen and everything will go right back to normal, but yesterday my game crashed three times after this happened.  Anyone else having these issues?  When it crashed, there was no "this application has crashed" message, no "death bong" or any warning.  This only started with WA.

I currently have one hack (Inteen 3 with the 10% accidental pregnancy option) installed, and several age conversion hair styles.  This sound lag was happening before I installed Inteen.  Any help is appreciated.  Thank you!
8  The Sims 3 / Pudding Requests / "Free Love" mod on: December 13, 2009, 03:25:58 pm
Howdy!

Would it be possible to creat a bed or mod to allow a sim to woohoo with another YA/A/E sim who they either did not have a high relationship score with?  Would really help out my Flirtasious sims and could be interesting now that there are silent pregnancy and risky woohoo mods out there ^_^.  Thank you!
9  The Sims 3 / Pudding Requests / Veggies for the Nectar Machine on: November 24, 2009, 09:11:14 am
Hi everyone.

I know the new EP is still in it's infancy, but I'm hoping that someone out there will (eventually) be able to make a mod to allow sims to add veggies to the nectar machine.  Seems like no one over at EA has heard of V8 Undecided.  I, like a few others, keep getting the pop ups in the wish panel saying that my sim wants to make potato nectar (I was really hoping to make some good vodka lol!), onion nectar, garlic nectar, etc.  Thank you!
10  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Teens and Opportunities (specifically gardening) on: July 03, 2009, 01:07:43 pm
Hello all.  Hope you're enjoying a problem free TS3 game Grin

My teen sim has level 10 gardening and cooking skills.  I have downloaded a mod that allows opportunities to pop up more frequently in hopes of giving her the chance to harvest the other special items (eggs, cheese, meat, omni, etc.).  I've used the testingcheats cheat to allow her to get a job in the science and restaurant careers, but no such luck with those specific opportunities popping up in either field.

I have another family with two YAs, mom has 10 gardening and cooking just like the teen, no job, and what happens?  Her cell phone rings with the "10 Very Good or Better" then "10 Excellent" crops opportunities.  So...are these opportunities available to teens or just YA up?  My teen has received a few work/skill related opportunities like the grill off, reading special books and the dish washing challenge, but not the harvesting or omniplant seed one.  I've also noticed that her phone doesn't ring.  Oh...and I should mention that she doesn't attend school Embarrassed.  Do I just keep waiting or is there something else that I can do to help her get a better chance at these opportunities?  Thanks!
11  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Anyone's sim had Death Fish sushi yet? on: June 13, 2009, 02:01:13 am
So...I've noticed that the sims can now make various types of food that all look the same, like grape/strawberry/life fruit pancakes and red herring/tuna/tragic clown fish sushi.  I was wondering if anyone has inadvertently ended up making Death Fish sushi yet, and what happened to their sim after they ate it.  I'm terrified to put the one that I haven't named into the fridge yet, because I've worked pretty hard on that household and would rather not see them go belly up. Just curious.
12  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Generally speaking, where is the fracking cemetery?! on: June 06, 2009, 11:35:15 pm
Howdy.  I searched for quite some time trying to find the Pleasant Rest cemetery...but I'm not coming up lucky.  Generally speaking, where the heck is it?  What's it by?  There's no little indicator on map view to help me out.  Thanks!
13  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / My DVD ROM drive is not reading the Sims 3 disk on: June 05, 2009, 06:08:38 pm
Hello.  I seem to be having a problem installing TS3 on my PC.  My system specs are as follows:

Model - HPa730n
PC - Windows XP2
CPU - 3GHz
RAM - 1.5 GB (can expand to 2GB)
Hard Drive - 180 GB free
Video - DirectX 9.0
Graphics Card - NVIDA GT7300

I am ashamed to admit that I have not downloaded any NVIDA drivers since installing my new graphics card in 7/07, nor have I updated my computer pretty much since I bought it back in 10/05.  It's not connected to the internet, and it's a pain to transfer files.

Every time I put the Sims 3 disk into my DVD ROM drive, it blinks, and sounds like a car with shot breaks.  It's all just a bunch of grinding, grunting, and then nothing.  Not even a buzz or whir of a loading sound.  After stalling for three minutes, I will click on the DVD ROM drive through My Computer and it shows that there is no disk in the drive.  I have a DVD-WR/CD-R/W drive and have been able to play/install all of my Sims 2 DVD ROM disks on it without a problem.  I still have TS2 installed on my PC along with all of its hacks and programs (wardrobe wrangler, file compressor, etc.).

I tried to install it on mom's Vista and it starts out fine, prompts will come up, all great, but I don't finish the process because I know that her graphics card isn't compatible with the game.  Is this just one of those problems that will be solved by buying an external DVD ROM only drive, should I just update my drivers, or should I look into getting a new PC?  Any help is greatly appreciated.
14  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Crops and Food? on: March 02, 2009, 04:00:47 pm
Hi all.  Has anyone heard any information about the types of crops that they'll be growing and how food will be stored/prepared/managed in general?  I'm more of a Sim "foodie" than anything else and these things concern me rolleyes.  Thank you!
15  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Apartment Life Chat / Soooo...sniffing cauldrons makes you super smart? on: September 03, 2008, 09:16:01 pm
Okay, yes it's kind of a strange question, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.  My teen sim has two very "interesting" parents - mommy's a nice witch, and daddy's an evil warlock.  Lately, I've let her go poking around in her parents' books and cauldrons to see if she could start practicing magic on her own.  As some of you may know already, it was a no go for either, as she was nipped at by the books and ran into the bathroom for water after sniffing the cauldrons.  Fine.  However, she's having a weird (yet good) side effect; very very speedy skilling!  I would say that it was because of her knowledge aspiration and having the "eureka" function enabled, but both parents have the same thing, and they're building skills at the normal (albeit a little quicker) pace.  Meanwhile, the little one can blow through a skill in three hours.  Anyone else experiencing this pleasant side effect?  I have two hacks (censor, and "never refuse skilling"), but that's it.
