Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you. Is the blanket it is slaved to part of the package, or do I need it as well? If I need that too can you tell me where to find it?

It's in the background of the picture. I am having a "duh" moment here. Is it an actual item, or do you build it in game?
I did search for a "window seat" but never found what is in this picture.

I'm watching my wee dog sleeping. He's usually a bundle of energy so when he sleeps the house is so very quiet. He always sleeps on his back, dunno why. There's something so endearing about him when he sleeps. For some reason it makes me go all soft inside and I just wanna love him to bits, but I won't disturb him when he is sleeping. Any way when he wakes up he'll want cuddles and kisses so the wait is worth it.

This is not a problem or an issue, but....every time I go into my neighbourhood to build, just before I click on the lot I want to enter, I see a police car go down the street. It's not a one time occurrence, it happens every single time. I'm starting to think this is a crime ridden neighbourhood. In my other neighbourhood before I click on the lot I want to play, I see the flying pig every time. Either my game is funny or somebody up there has a weird sense of humour. I'm kinda wondering when I get around to my Medieval neighbourhood if I'm gonna see the spaceship. That would just make my day! NOT! I don't want alien medieval babies.
I stopped playing for a few years and have just now got back into it. When I get enough houses built and families moved in I'm thinking there's gonna be a lot of burglaries. The funny thing is, now I am always checking the alarm system in my house, just in case my Simmies are trying to send me a message.  Laugh

Celebrating with a small glass of grape juice (I don't drink alcohol). It's been 1 year since I stopped biting my fingernails. I am 55 years old and I have bitten my nails my entire life. Now I understand the frustration of having a nail actually break. I am looking forward to having a manicure, but will wait until the nails are pretty much the same length.
It was not a conscious choice to stop biting, apparently a couple of new prescriptions sent calming messages to my brain. I didn't even know I had stopped biting my nails until one day I had an itch and scratched it. I wore fake nails for nearly 30 years, so it's taking a long time to grow out the damage.

LMAO. I am bopping all over the net, searching for game content. I used to just download anything and everything. Now I am much more finicky and add descriptive words to the files I am downloading.
I've gotten more anal in my downloads folder as well and everything is in a folder that describes it. Dining tables, sofas, etc.
All I'm really doing tho is just getting older and drinking tea. Oh and cuddling the little energizer bunny, who just happens to be quiet for the moment. (That won't last)

Thank God it's not cancer. I am also having some serious health problems.  I've had cat scans, MRI's and some kind of nuclear imaging test. I've lost count of all the blood tests and all I know so far is that there is a problem with my pancreas. What the actual problem is, has not yet been diagnosed.
I've been bopping all over the net....so many Sims2 sites gone  Cry
Oh darn---the energizer bunny just woke up *sigh* It was so peaceful. GAH3

I am starting to replay my game after a long time away from it and the Sims2 community. For anyone who remembers me...my beloved dog, Bailey passed away. We now have a Jack Russel/Shih Tzu cross. He's kinda like the energizer bunny on caffeine.
So I am all over the net looking for things for my game. I have to play on a laptop and I'm not sure how much I can put in the downloads folder and still have the game run correctly.
I have forgotten so much and am re-learning how to play.

Paden, I hope everything is ok with you.

Embarrassed This is what happens when you get old. I hunted all over the internet for it today and I actually found it. It is at TSR. It's part of a set and I was looking for an individual item. It's made by Birgit.
So if I need to be chastised, by all means...but I am old Sad
12  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: Stainless Mix Master on: November 05, 2013, 06:16:52 pm
Thanks, but that's not the one. It wasn't part of a set, just a single item.
13  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: TSR has gone free on: November 05, 2013, 11:09:01 am
I have just recently began to play the game again. I noticed that TSR was free about 3 or 4 days ago. I have to admit, my first question was why....what happened to make this change?
It's long overdue, but still who or what made them do that?
14  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Stainless Mix Master on: November 05, 2013, 11:00:49 am
Years ago I had one. It was used in place of the food processor. I can't remember who made it or where I got it. Can anyone help me? Fanku

I always thought that it was a courtesy to give your employer the standard two weeks notice  when you are quitting your job. Apparently it's not necessary any longer.....at least not in the trucking industry. My husband got tired of staying home more than he was working so he went out and found a new job, still in the trucking industry, but not in the tanker end of it. I typed up a very nice and respectful letter of resignation for him to give to his boss. His last day was supposed to be on Feb 8th. He took the letter into his boss on Jan 24. All seemed well, he left for a run and got back home on Saturday morning. On Monday he went into work for his usual run and was told that it had been put off and since there was no work, if he wanted to start his new job early, he could do so. So he went back outside and began to clean out his truck.....and then another driver comes into the yard. Hubby goes over to him and says hi and asks where this driver is going......yeah, that run that was supposedly put off, this driver was taking it. He felt really bad, but he needs the work.
Fortunately my hubby's new employer was more than pleased to have my hubby start sooner, but still it took a few days to get everything set up, and find him a run to take. Basically by lying about his usual run, his old employer has cost him one full weeks worth of work, which is obviously going to affect his final pay cheque.
Luckily for us, this will not affect our budget in a negative way. But it was still a really rotten way to treat my husband. Another trucker had also given his notice and his last day was supposed to be on the first of Feb.....his run on Monday (Jan 28) was also supposedly cancelled......
This company (the old one) had more than half the fleet sitting in the yard because they didn't have enough work for their company drivers and when the drivers look for a new job they get shafted. We may only have 4 years left on our mortgage, but we still have to make the payments and we can't do that when he is at home all the time. I guess in today's economy this is an acceptable way to treat your employees, but it's still very sad.
