Thanks I'll try adding those lines to my userstartUp file. The family has enough funds (over 40,000) to adopt and the parents have about 6 days left before turning elders so they should be able to try for a baby. Maybe it's my computer that's acting up again, it has been very annoying lately

This doesn't seem to work in my game... the family has 8 sims and only one pet but the parents can't try for a baby or adopt a child. Or maybe it's supposed to work like this... is there a mod that allows more sims, I don't care about the pets that much.
