1  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / WCIF: Maxis Match Now and Den Suburban Appeal floors on: July 07, 2013, 03:55:59 pm
To match the Now and Den Suburban Appeal Paint wallpapers that I believe come in Apartment Life (pictured below).

I have searched this site, standard google, MTS, even TSR and have found many other maxis match floors and walls but I haven't been able to find these. I realize you can use wood paneling to match the bottoms and molding of the walls but I wanted one that matches the colorful part of the wall. I actually even tried to make them myself because I thought cloning off the wallpaper would be easy but I was unable to make a seamless carpet. (I'm extremely new at trying to make anything. And I don't know if I couldn't make it because there isn't a full repeat or if it's just because I was bad at it.)

The walls look like this:

There is also a golden beige one but I didn't know if picturing it would exceed the pic limit. But I'm looking for matching flooring, basically carpet in the pattern of the blue, green and grey parts.

Please and thank you.
2  Resident Creators / EP8 Mods / Re: Butler No More Cooking on: December 11, 2010, 02:45:14 pm
When I first installed this mod, it worked just fine and the butler didn't cook anymore. But recently he started cooking again.

I don't know if it's a conflict with something else. I recently installed this mod:  http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=420609) (The version that doesn't max all needs.) I took that mod back out but my butlers are still back to cooking.

Do I need to fire and rehire them? Take the mod out and put it back in?
3  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / What's sometimes corrupting my saved movies? on: May 11, 2010, 12:41:33 pm
I like to make Sims music videos. However, I have this issue lately where I'll film a bunch of things. Then when I go into the saved movies and look at them, a small number of the videos will have weird lines/corruption spots on them that blink on and off during the video. So then what I've filmed is unusable. I have no idea what's causing this considering it only happens "some of the time". Has anyone ever had this issue? They're like little colored squares that appear every 2-3 seconds in some of my movies. Very small but so many of them they are distracting.

I was going to post an example but when I tried to upload one of the "corrupted" videos to photobucket, the weird lines and spot don't appear at all?!  huh So I have no idea what that means. Whether it has something to do with a quality degradation upon uploading or what makes it so you can't see them then? Is it really a playback issue rather than a filming one? They appear for me both in realplayer and windows media player.

Any information would be much appreciated.

4  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: WCIF usable repo gun and/or usable flashlight? on: December 20, 2009, 01:11:48 pm
The one I have only has real world objects like briefcases, clipboards, umbrella, stuff like that. No repo gun. Do you have a link to a prop hack that does have one?

This made me actually test out the prop hack I'd already downloaded and realized that the flashlight actually lit up. I thought it was just decorative based on the way it was described. Feeling dumb now. Thanks!

I'm trying to create a spy music video and thought that it'd be easy enough to get a flashlight/torch in the story. I haven't been able to find anyone who has made a usable flashlight. I have the prop from decorgal's prop accessory pack but I was hoping to find one working for Sims 2.

I thought the easiest way to "pretend" there was a flashlight beam visible on the wall might be to use the repo man's gun. But I haven't been able to find any enabled for playable Sims to use. Surely someone has wanted to zap away objects at will?

The only other thought was that someone could have (or maybe could) clone the fingerprint scanner career reward and make it look like flashlight since it casts a beam of light.

I've searched modtheSims. I've searched here. I've tried to google it. I read the Sims Wiki content list. None of have directed me to any of these things. Thanks in advance if you are able to help in any way.
7  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Restoring/Renaming Neighborhoods on: February 12, 2008, 02:38:42 pm
Well, she said she might not mind starting all over with her legacy so I guess I'll tell her that might be the easiest thing to do. I'm not sure she'll want to rename ALL her files but I'll give the heads up that that might be what she has to do. Thanks.

I have a friend who deleted pleasantview and all the other Maxis hoods and then plays in custom neighborhoods.

Now she wants to restore Pleasantview and we've found the instructions on how to get it from the Program Files section. The only issue is her custom neighborhood is already named N001 and so is Pleasantview.

I haven't found anything that tells me whether or not she can just rename her custom 'hoods to N004 or something? Is that possible? Or is there a more complicated process involve?

Thank you in advance.
9  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Question about Resetting errors with boolprop on: December 31, 2007, 12:07:43 pm
Just a note that I got this resolved.  Removing my hacks was unhelpful so I finally got the Seasons patch since I'd never bothered. Doing so, caused me to have to reinstall my objects package from the CD and the object errors all ceased. Smiley
10  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Question about Resetting errors with boolprop on: December 28, 2007, 10:43:42 pm
Well, that's odd cause I don't think I even have any toddler mods.

Okay, all I can find that might even affect toddlers is possibly my animations hacks. Things like Talk Sitting, Talk Standing. Idle Animations. But I don't even think those work for toddlers.

I have very few global mods. Move out for teens, sneak here, rub belly, no servo chores, anitweatherreactions and the like, nothing that should even affect toddlers.

HCDU found 0 conflicts. So here are my last two object error file reports.
12  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Question about Resetting errors with boolprop on: December 28, 2007, 10:17:37 pm
Oh I should have thought of that. It all started when I downloaded a bunch of new mods and such for movie making tools.

Now would it have to be a global mod considering it's affecting all lots and all neighborhoods?

Since as far as I can tell it's only toddler related, would it have to be a toddler mod?
13  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Question about Resetting errors with boolprop on: December 28, 2007, 09:22:33 pm
Alright, I'm a big boolprop fan and have been for a long time, Not ashamed of it and never thought it was hurting my game until now.

I now have an issue where if when the regular "error" pops up, I hit reset, it resets the action permanently within the game, in all neighborhoods and instances and never completes the action again.  My sims can no longer "toss toddlers in the air" and toddlers can no longer "cry when in needs desperation". These actions all just reset now because I reset them once, they always just 'jump' out of these interactions.

Do I just have to stop using it or is there an easy way to fix this? If I delete the error logs will it 'forget' what I told it to do?

15  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Walk With Mood? on: June 07, 2007, 06:20:05 pm
I have all the expansions so unless there's an expansion that removes it I don't know. Hmm, I have boolprop set to always on in a startup.cheat file. But I haven't done the alternate of adding that AnyBoolean string of code thing.
