1  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / WCIF: Maxis Match Now and Den Suburban Appeal floors on: July 07, 2013, 03:55:59 pm
To match the Now and Den Suburban Appeal Paint wallpapers that I believe come in Apartment Life (pictured below).

I have searched this site, standard google, MTS, even TSR and have found many other maxis match floors and walls but I haven't been able to find these. I realize you can use wood paneling to match the bottoms and molding of the walls but I wanted one that matches the colorful part of the wall. I actually even tried to make them myself because I thought cloning off the wallpaper would be easy but I was unable to make a seamless carpet. (I'm extremely new at trying to make anything. And I don't know if I couldn't make it because there isn't a full repeat or if it's just because I was bad at it.)

The walls look like this:

There is also a golden beige one but I didn't know if picturing it would exceed the pic limit. But I'm looking for matching flooring, basically carpet in the pattern of the blue, green and grey parts.

Please and thank you.
2  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / What's sometimes corrupting my saved movies? on: May 11, 2010, 12:41:33 pm
I like to make Sims music videos. However, I have this issue lately where I'll film a bunch of things. Then when I go into the saved movies and look at them, a small number of the videos will have weird lines/corruption spots on them that blink on and off during the video. So then what I've filmed is unusable. I have no idea what's causing this considering it only happens "some of the time". Has anyone ever had this issue? They're like little colored squares that appear every 2-3 seconds in some of my movies. Very small but so many of them they are distracting.

I was going to post an example but when I tried to upload one of the "corrupted" videos to photobucket, the weird lines and spot don't appear at all?!  huh So I have no idea what that means. Whether it has something to do with a quality degradation upon uploading or what makes it so you can't see them then? Is it really a playback issue rather than a filming one? They appear for me both in realplayer and windows media player.

Any information would be much appreciated.

3  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / WCIF usable repo gun and/or usable flashlight? on: December 18, 2009, 01:31:28 am
I'm trying to create a spy music video and thought that it'd be easy enough to get a flashlight/torch in the story. I haven't been able to find anyone who has made a usable flashlight. I have the prop from decorgal's prop accessory pack but I was hoping to find one working for Sims 2.

I thought the easiest way to "pretend" there was a flashlight beam visible on the wall might be to use the repo man's gun. But I haven't been able to find any enabled for playable Sims to use. Surely someone has wanted to zap away objects at will?

The only other thought was that someone could have (or maybe could) clone the fingerprint scanner career reward and make it look like flashlight since it casts a beam of light.

I've searched modtheSims. I've searched here. I've tried to google it. I read the Sims Wiki content list. None of have directed me to any of these things. Thanks in advance if you are able to help in any way.
4  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Restoring/Renaming Neighborhoods on: February 12, 2008, 12:09:19 am
I have a friend who deleted pleasantview and all the other Maxis hoods and then plays in custom neighborhoods.

Now she wants to restore Pleasantview and we've found the instructions on how to get it from the Program Files section. The only issue is her custom neighborhood is already named N001 and so is Pleasantview.

I haven't found anything that tells me whether or not she can just rename her custom 'hoods to N004 or something? Is that possible? Or is there a more complicated process involve?

Thank you in advance.
5  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Question about Resetting errors with boolprop on: December 28, 2007, 09:22:33 pm
Alright, I'm a big boolprop fan and have been for a long time, Not ashamed of it and never thought it was hurting my game until now.

I now have an issue where if when the regular "error" pops up, I hit reset, it resets the action permanently within the game, in all neighborhoods and instances and never completes the action again.  My sims can no longer "toss toddlers in the air" and toddlers can no longer "cry when in needs desperation". These actions all just reset now because I reset them once, they always just 'jump' out of these interactions.

Do I just have to stop using it or is there an easy way to fix this? If I delete the error logs will it 'forget' what I told it to do?
6  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Walk With Mood? on: June 07, 2007, 01:43:10 pm
I read on a movie making tutorial there's a way to do this with boolprop. But it says to shift+click on "the staircase". What staircase? My regular in game staircases to the next floor seemed to bring about no such options even with boolprop on.

Does this "cheat" really work?
7  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / What makes Sims reject hugs? on: June 03, 2007, 12:04:27 am
This is driving me nuts. I'm trying to make a music video and no matter what I seem to do, my Sims are always willing to hug each other. I've boolproped them down to completely negative as negative can be relationship points, I've dropped all their needs towards red to put them in a bad mood, and still the second a Sim hugs them they're up for it. I've even made the to be recieving hug Sim really mean and really shy, figuring they'd be less huggy people and it doesn't work.

Could it be because they all live on the same lot? I've often come across visitors who don't like to be hugged by your super outgoing sims. But why in the world are they always in the mood for hugs?

Some kind of glitch?
