16  The Sims 3 / Pudding Improvements / Upgrade Times - Sims 3 World Adventures on: January 21, 2010, 08:52:26 pm
DESCRIPTION:

The mods, Upgrade Times, alter the amount of time spent upgrading an object based on the level of difficulty. The level of difficulty is based on the type of upgrade being done to an object. Sims will still spend almost an equal amount of time upgrading the object whether the Sims has the Handiness trait or not.

*The Tinker option on these objects is also affected by the amount of time used to tinker/upgrade an object.*

You need to have your Sim tinker an object first before you can get any upgrade options available on that particular object you want to upgrade. This is by EA design.

The upgrades affect the following objects:

Stoves (all)
Sinks (all)
Tubs (all)
Showers (all)
Toilets (all)
Food Replicator
Trash Compactor
Nectar making machine *Available with World Adventures*
Fortune Cookie machine *Available with World Adventures*
TVs (all)
Doorbell
Stereos (all including the wiring throughout the house option)
Teleporter
Water Sprinkler
Microwave (maybe - Haven't tested this)

Upgrade Times (3 Flavors):

Easy - At least 1 to 4-6 hours total time
Medium - At least 2 to 6-8 hours total time
Hard - At least 4 to 8-10 hours total time

CAUTION:

Use only ONE flavor, not all of them.

NOTE:

Medium is twice as short as the default Maxis/EA times for upgrading the objects. Hard is twice as long as the default Maxis/EA times for upgrading the objects.

SPECIAL NOTE:

If I made a 4th flavor to make it harder than the Hard flavor, I will simply drain my own Sim's life away while their children grow up and have their own families before my Sim will finally finish upgrading an object. So do not ask for a "Pescado-style" version.

INSTALL:

For XP users, install in the following location:

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 World Adventures\Mods\Packages

You must have the framework set up to force Sims 3 to recognize and use the mods. Or use Delphy's TS3 Monkey Install Helper to install the mod the easy way.

For Vista and Windows 7 players, install the mod accordingly in the location you keep your mods in.

I don't use either Vista or Windows 7 and can't help you with the install issues. Please look on other Sims 3 forums for instructions installing the mods.

VERSION:

Available for World Adventures only at this time. You must have your game patched up to 2.3.x for World Adventures.

** These pictures are just a few of what objects you can upgrade.**

17  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Sims 3 Patches on: December 29, 2009, 04:01:56 pm
Someone graciously passed along a link to a site hosting the older patches for Sims 3 as well newer patches for Sims 3 World Adventures.

If you don't want your game to automatically update via the launcher, you can open the launcher and go to Updates. Uncheck the box to disable the automatic updates.

Then make a shortcut to the game exe from the Sims 3 or Sims 3 World Adventures directory:

XP users:

Sims 3 path:

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin

Sims 3 World Adventures path:

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 World Adventures\Game\Bin

I personally use TS3booter from Pescado's site that literally boot the game. I made a desktop shortcut with that installed just like I would with the game exe.

NOTE:

Vista and Windows 7 players may post the directory paths for others to locate if they have either Vista or Windows 7. I don't use either Vista or Windows 7.

Onward to Patches:

Okay, the patches are available at SimPrograms. You will have to choose either Sims 3 or World Adventures as your latest install.

I hope you will find this useful information to get Sims 3 the way you want to play.
18  A Safe Haven / General Discussion / Brrr It's COLD!! on: December 26, 2009, 07:12:53 pm
The area I lived in got hit with freezing temperatures, snow, sleet, rain and ice starting Thursday (day before Christmas). We're still getting snow on and off.

These are the pics I took and had my partner upload them from her computer. Then I converted them and uploaded them to my account to share with you guys what Mother Nature and Father Winter had in store for us:

Pointing to about 3-4 feet of snow

I look like Dana Carvey from Wayne's World!! Arrgh!

She's trying to throw a snowball... MISSED! Tongue

MISSED AGAIN!! You ain't an all-star pitcher. Tongue

We managed to get our aqua-colored (blue) car into the parking lot where there's less snow to worry about.

Our street

What Father Winter and Mother Nature left us with..

19  Resident Creators / Squinge's Mods / Better Barista Duty Wages - University on: October 10, 2009, 08:23:14 pm
The mod will increase the wage earned working as a barista (working at the coffee bar).

Modification Info:

The mod increases the amount of money the Sim earns at the coffee bar from $16 to $40 per 12 minutes, and in 5 hours, the Sim will earn $1000 in total cash with little effort.

Math Formula (Maxis):

Take into account that the Sim gets paid 5 times per hour (5 periods), and the wages was $16 per period.

60 Sim minutes / 12 minutes = 5 periods * $16 = $80
5 hours * $16 = $400 net cash

Math Formula (Chaavik):

Take into account that the Sim gets paid 5 times per hour (5 periods), and the wages was $40 per period.

60 Sim minutes / 12 minutes = 5 periods * $40 = $200
5 hours * $200 = $1000 net cash

Better Barista Duty Wages - University is compatible with the following mods by:

Ancient Highway:

College Isn't Free series

*This mod will also help reinforce your Sims' ability to earn extra cash outside their jobs in the dorms.*

Squinge:

Mega College Pack - AL
Mega College Pack - FT

Chaavik:

Better Cafeteria Duty Wages - Uni
Better DJ Duty Wages (both NL and FT)
Better Bartender Duty Wages - ALL EPs

Requirements:

University IS required! Works with any EP/SP.

Do not upload anywhere and everywhere.
20  Resident Creators / Squinge's Mods / Newspaper - More Fun And Longer Crossword Puzzle - Universal: 10-10-09 on: October 10, 2009, 05:16:46 pm
The newspaper mod will override the original Maxis newspaper BCONs to boost the Fun motive while reading the newspaper and/or doing the crossword puzzle. The mod also lengthens the amount of time to allow a Sim to do a crossword puzzle and gain at least a Logic skill point and a half.

The Sim will spend at least an hour and a half to two hours doing the crossword puzzle, and the Sim will gain at least a Logic skill point and a half over time doing the crossword puzzle.

Do NOT upload anywhere and everywhere.

Requires Sims 2 to use the mod. Compatible with any EP.
21  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Has the Sims Gone Nuclear On Me? on: September 15, 2009, 06:01:42 pm
These three screenshots made me think they went nuclear on me.  Grin It was actually the lightning striking my ghost resident's gravestone, and she *poofed*. I was speechless, wondering if I will lose her or not.

This was the first time I saw anything like this in all the time I played Sims 2. It was sort of funny, but scary because the ghost happened to be my favorite Sim who met her unfortunate demise through her mom. Let's just say her mom had a bite in the girl's untimely death. (with Shaklin's vampire mod installed).

When the lightning struck...

Where the lightning struck...

Ooops is that water puddle by the gravestone?
22  Resident Creators / EP7 Mods / No Autonomous Give Financial Advice - FT on: September 13, 2009, 05:36:40 pm
This mod curbs the autonomous behavior of Sims wanting to do the "Give Financial Advice" interaction on computers.

FreeTime is required. May be compatible with AL and Mansion&Garden.

NOTE:

The mod will only work with Maxis computers and any custom computers based off the Maxis computers. The Monique computers for both FT and AL are already non-autonomous, making this mod moot.
23  Resident Creators / EP7 Mods / Write Term Paper Faster - FT on: September 10, 2009, 12:29:58 pm
The new Write Term Paper Faster - FT mod replaces the original Write Term Paper Faster mod that isn't compatible with FreeTime and up.

Original mod by Squinge and updated by Chaavik for FreeTime and up.

Updated for FreeTime. Compatible with Apartment Life and Mansion&Garden.

MUST have University installed to use this mod.

SPECIAL NOTE:

This mod is slightly different in the sense that the Fall time bonus applied to writing term papers, making the writing process much faster than the original mod did. The original mod did not contain the correct constants to factor in the Fall time bonus because the mod was made before Seasons. Seasons introduced the new Fall time boost to studying skills and writing novels/term papers. The new FT mod increased the speed of writing term papers slightly so it will feel very much like the original mod, and the FT mod does not rely on the Fall time bonus to speed up the writing process. A college YA would take roughly about 1 to 2 hours to complete a term paper no matter what the season was if it was Summer, Fall, Winter or Spring.

NOTE:

MAY work with Seasons and Bon Voyage. If the original mod throws an error while you have at least Seasons and/or Bon Voyage installed, then try the updated mod from this thread.
24  The Sims 3 / Pudding Improvements / Children Can Make Posts On Forums - Sims 3 on: August 27, 2009, 05:17:31 pm
Description:

Children can make inappropriate posts or troll on the forums.

SPECIAL NOTE:

Children must have at least one or more of the following traits to make inappropriate posts or troll on the forums:

Evil (Troll)
Inappropriate Post (Inappropriate)
Mean-Spirited (Troll)

The traits are part of the coding for both mods by EA default for the options to be available on the computer for children and above.

NOTE:

The animations already existed for them to be able to interact with the computer. The animations were based on the Practice Writing interaction that the children can do already. So, the children didn't stretch when they make inappropriate posts or troll on the forum and check for responses.

Compatibility Notes:

Not compatible with the Check For Responses, Make Inappropriate Posts and Make Troll Posts on the forums activities from More Fun Activities - Sims 3. More Fun Activities - Sims 3 does not allow children to do the above interactions by EA default.

If you want children to gain Fun, use ChildrenCanPostTrollCheckForResponsesMoreFun-Sims3 instead.

Two versions are available:

ChildrenCanPostTrollCheckForResponses-Sims3 (No Fun motive boost)
ChildrenCanPostTrollCheckForResponsesMoreFun-Sims3 (Fun motive boost)
25  Resident Creators / EP8 Mods / No Autonomous Family Kiss - AL on: August 14, 2009, 01:41:25 pm
This mod nukes the autonomous behavior of Sims 'family kissing' other Sims, but the mod does not nuke the interaction, "Family Kiss".

Apartment Life required. Mansion&Garden compatible.

Do not upload anywhere and everywhere.
26  The Sims 3 / Pudding Improvements / More Fun Activities For Sims 3: Updated - December 5th 2009 on: August 12, 2009, 04:41:43 pm
World Adventures Information:

A new series of activities enhances the stuff Sims do to gain more Fun and/or Social because honestly, the few activities that should be fun did not give Sims something fun to do. I added some of the Sims 3 activities to the World Adventures list because I missed some of those interactions when I originally did them for Sims 3. They also have notes to indicate which ones I didn't include with Sims 3.

The original More Fun Activities for Sims 3 were also updated for World Adventures because the new files contain more bits of code that significantly changed from Sims 3 to World Adventures.

The following activities are listed below with notes:

Clear Rubble - Big piles of rock inside the tombs
Disarm Tomb Traps
Excavate Bones At Dig Site - Small piles of bones found on the ground in the world
Hide In The Sarcophagus - Sims gain fun from hiding inside the mummy's box

Inspect Tomb Traps, Objects, Holes And Doors - Inspects the doors, holes, traps and other objects inside the tomb

Practice On Board Breaker
Practice On Chess Table - Was not exclusive to WA but missed in the original Sims 3 game
Practice On Training Dummy - Practices martial arts skill on a freestanding practice dummy
Practice Speech At Mirror - Was not exclusive to WA but missed in the original Sims 3 game
Practice Writing On Computer - Was not exclusive to WA but missed in the original Sims 3 game
Sing Normal Song - Gains fun from singing a normal song
Sing Romantic Song - Gains fun from singing a romantic song
Spar Sim - Ranked or not, the Sims gain fun from sparring each other
Squish Grapes In Nectar Tub - Gains fun from stomping the grapes in the Nectar Maker's tub
Taste Nectar From Nectar Rack - Gains fun from tasting the nectar from the rack
Tinker Nectar Maker - Gains fun from tinkering with the Nectar Maker

Train With Another Sim On The Training Dummy - Gains fun and social motives from training with another Sim on the training dummy

What's New With The Packages?

I repackaged the mods in a way to give you a choice to install the interaction mods individually or install the collection packages (everything in 3 files) to suit your needs.

New Packages Containing individual mods to pick and choose from:

Original More Fun Activities - Pack 1 - WA (Updated for World Adventures)
Original More Fun Activities - Pack 2 - WA (Updated for World Adventures)
More Fun Activities - Pack 1 -WA (Exclusive to World Adventures ONLY)

New Collections Package to install everything included in only 3 files:

More Fun Activities - Entire Collections - WA

* This includes all of the above 3 packages in just 3 files to install if you want everything. *

Note that the packages have WA at the end. Use those instead.

INSTALL NOTES:

Please install the mods in the following location if you have XP:

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 World Adventures\Mods\Packages

I think the install location is similar for Vista and Windows 7 players basically because the mods should be installed in the World Adventures folder anyway. I can't help you with the installation questions or issues because I don't use either Vista or Windows 7. You will need to search the Sims 3 forums for help installing the mods.

CAUTION:

The old packages that were released for Sims 3 should NOT be used with World Adventures or Sims 3 updated after patch 1.7.9.

More Fun Activities - Sims 3 enhances the stuff Sims do to gain more Fun because in truth, there weren't many things in Sims 3 that Sims can do and gain Fun.

The following are listed below with some of the mods having special notes:

Explore Mausoleum More Fun
Go Jogging And More Fun
Hack Computer More Fun
Paint Faster And More Fun
Play Chess With Chess Table And More Fun
Play Chess With Computer And More Fun

Search Galaxy More Fun *Not the same as Stargaze*
Solve Hard Problem With Computer More Fun
Stargaze More Fun *Not the same as Search Galaxy*
Toddler Read Book More Fun
Workout Bench And More Fun
Workout Stereo And More Fun
Workout TV And More Fun *You can use with "UnlockedTVChannelsAndMoreFun". Different files*

Cuddle On Bed More Fun *Kiss And Make Out*
Take Bubble Bath More Fun *All Types of Bathtubs*

SPECIAL NOTE:

Picnic More Fun also has its Social values fixed because the Sims' Social motives did not improve at all when they socialize while they're on a picnic.

NEW:

Jump On Bed
Do Homework
Do Homework With - *This is a different interaction to do homework with other Sims*
Blog On Computer
Make Inappropriate Post On Forums
Troll On Forums
Smash Dollhouse
Tinkering - *All tinkering activities are combined into one single file*
Overclock Computer
Research New Stock On Computer - *Only Sims with Charisma trait and skill can do this by EA default*
Run Forensic Analysis On Computer
Sabotage Electronic Objects - *TV, Stereo and Computer activities combined in one file*
Work From Home
Check For Forum Responses

NEW:

Rummage Through Trashcan Outdoors
Collect Rocks
Hang Out With Sim - * Social motive fixed. It was 0 by EA default *
Interview Sim - * Social and Fun motive boosts were added *
Scare Sim - * EA default was 0 *
Write Report On Computer - * Fun motive added *
Protest City Hall - * Social motive boost added and Fun motive boost increased *

SPECIAL NOTE:

These interactions originally did not contain either or both Fun and Social motive boosts, making the interactions less sociable or fun for Sims. Interviewing people should be considered as a social activity for most people who like to do these interviews in real life. I guess EA is anti-social, or maybe their dev team is anti-social. Hanging out with people should be a FUN activity as well a socially acceptable gathering at most colleges. I hung out with my friends while I was in college and had fun doing that. So should our Sims!

You can pick any or all of the mods to install for Sims 3. Be sure to use Indie Stone Compatibility Checker (available at MTS) to check for any conflict between any of these mods against other similar mods.

If you don't see something listed that you think can be modified to gain more fun, please let me know.

27  The Sims 3 / Pudding Improvements / Unlocked TV Channels And More Fun - Sims 3: Updated December 4th 2009 on: August 09, 2009, 01:30:22 pm
NEW World Adventures Information NEW:

The new mod, Unlocked TV Channels And More Fun, retains the original features of the Sims 3 mod with a minor difference. Sims can still gain more Fun from watching TV as well watch any of the channels on all types of TVs: Cheap, Moderate, Wall and Expensive.

The personality requirements and skill levels in a given skill (Cooking, Gardening, Fishing, etc.) no longer affect the channel's availability to watch. For example, a Sim with the Gardening trait will get that channel available at a certain skill level in Gardening, but a Sim without the Gardening trait and no skill in Gardening will not get that channel available to watch.

The install location is for XP users:

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 World Adventures\Mods\Packages

Vista and Windows 7 users will have to install the mod into the appropriate location for their World Adventures folder. I don't use either Vista or Windows 7. I can't help you with the installation issues, and you'll have to search the Sims 3 forums for help to install your mods.

Unlocked TV Channels And More Fun enables Sims to watch any of the tv shows and gain Fun from watching the shows just like their Sims 2 cousins did.

No more Sim TV Trait discrimination! Anybody can pick up a remote and flip the TV on to watch their show without worrying about the In Soviet Russia TV Watch You Group telling them they can't watch this show or that show without certain traits! Viva Watch TV Freedom!

Features:

Unlocked Channels:

Super Shopping Network
Fishing Fracas
Cookin' Cable
Terror TV
Halls of History
Action World
KidZ Zone
Romantic Rendezvous
Got Garden?

*The two Work Out options were already enabled by default.

Affected TVs:

Cheap (The Very Cheap TV With Bad Reception)
Moderate (Next to Cheap Floor Model)
Moderate Flat Screen (Flat Screen Floor Model)
Expensive (Wall Flat Screen)
TV Wall (The Most Expensive Wall TV - About $8000)

These TVs have their distinct own behaviors and interactions.

Fun:

I modified a number of interactions to boost the Fun motive on the different types of TVs. EA's default Fun values range from 20 to 65. These EA default values did not make significant impact on the Fun motive. Sims could sit for hours to watch TV and not gain any Fun at all. I increased the EA default value to 70 so that the Fun motive could increase visibly to make TV watching worthwhile to have a TV around.

What's Not Modified:

The Cheap TVs still give a negative Bad Reception buff as these TVs should.

One of the few screenshots to show you all of the unlocked TV channels
28  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Sims 3, Newest Patch (1.3x) and Crashes on: July 30, 2009, 07:47:39 am
I was fortunate not to reinstall the whole game, all of the mods and all of the store stuff after I patched the game.

But I did have crashing problems and traced the problems to one mod that hasn't been updated since Sims 3 was either released as a legal game or as a leaked game. It's Rick's "enablescripterror" file that Pescado uploaded ages ago in the AM thread.

If you have crashing issues and have Rick's "[/b]enablescripterror[/b]" file in the Mods/Packages folder, take that one out.

I don't think it's necessary at this point to have it installed unless it's verified the file needs to be updated for this latest patch or not.

What it does? Basically to allow players to debug the glitches and generate error logs if any when the game encounters a problem. I don't know if it is necessary at this point to have it installed or updated since there is now a tool to run for mod compatibility, lessening the crashes and mod conflicts. Word hasn't been out whether it will be updated or needed after this patch.

Steps To A Reasonably Safe Patching:

1. Download the patch from wherever you get your patches from for your region.
2. Remove the Mods folder from your game:

Usually for XP:

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods

For Vista:

Similar to the location above

For Mac:

Someone with a Mac should provide the exact location for those of you who have Sims 3 on Mac.

3. Patch the game.
4. Go into the following location and delete all of the .cache files:

C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3

Or wherever the location is for your OS.

5. Start up the game and then start a new town.

*This way, the game will re-create the .cache files.

6. Exit the game without saving.
7. Put the Mods folder back where you had it in the first place.
8. If you have Rick's "enablescripterror" file, leave it out of the Mods/Packages folder.
9. Start up the game and then start a new town.
10. Exit the game without saving.
11. Check to make sure the files are in order and check to make sure you have the latest updates for any mod that may be affected by the new patch for Sims 3.

Hope these instructions will help a lot. Thanks to Sharpener from MATY for providing one of the few solutions. This solution worked for me.

**Updated**

Rick released a new version of the enablescripterror file for Sims 3 patched with 1.3x (latest patch).
29  The Sims 3 / Pudding Improvements / Less Decay From Garden Tasks Series - Sims 3: December 22nd 2009 on: July 27, 2009, 04:21:42 pm
Update Information:

I uploaded a new series of gardening mods to allow children to maintain their gardens and have fun caring for their little plants at MTS because I have more than 4 mods. Since IS only allow up to 4 attachments, I decided that if you want the child-enabled mods, I would link to the thread hosting them so you can find them more easily.

The description is clear and the packages are labeled clearly to inform you which mods are child-enabled or not as well which mods boost Fun or not.

You can use them for either Sims 3 or World Adventures.

World Adventures Information:

The mods doesn't need updating for World Adventures. You can continue to use them, but you will need to install them in a different location than for the main Sims 3 directory.

The install location is for XP users:

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 World Adventures\Mods\Packages

Vista and Windows 7 players will need to install the mods in their World Adventures directory. You will have to search the Sims 3 forums for help with installation issues or help because I don't use either Vista or Windows 7.

Basic Description:

The series reduce the decay rate at which Hygiene drops from watering, fertilizing, weeding and harvesting in the garden.

Less Hygiene Decay From Watering reduces the decay rate at which the Hygiene motive drops when the Sim waters the plants in the garden.

Less Hygiene Decay From Weeding reduces the decay rate at which the Hygiene motive drops when the Sim weeds the plants in the garden.

Less Hygiene Decay From Harvesting reduces the decay rate at which the Hygiene motive drops when the Sim harvests the plants in the garden.

Less Hygiene Decay From Fertilizing reduces the decay rate at which the Hygiene motive drops when the Sim fertilizes the plants in the garden.

SPECIAL NOTE:

Fertilizing does not decrease or increase Fun because the Fertilize interaction itself is different from the other gardening interactions (Weeding, Watering and Harvesting), but this interaction does have a decay rate for Hygiene.

Less Hygiene Decay And More Fun From Garden Tasks

This set of Less Hygiene Decay And More Fun From Garden Tasks mods has one additional feature to boost the Fun motive for Sims while they are weeding, watering or harvesting the plants in their gardens.

You can choose one or all of the new alternate versions from the Less Hygiene Decay And More Fun From Garden Tasks to install in your game.

These mods are for people who do not use gardening mods to enable children to perform gardening chores or collect seeds.

Modifications:

The original value (EA's value) in one line for all three tuning files caused the Sim's Hygiene motive to bottom out or go into the red very quickly within minutes of starting the gardening tasks. I changed the value in each tuning file from -25 to -10 to slow down the Hygiene decay rate. The Sim's Hygiene motive will decay over time, allowing him or her to work in the garden for a longer period of time. This is ideal for those players who want farmers in their games to make a living growing and cultivating their gardens all day as real life farmers do.

The original mods did not contain a line to allow for the Fun motive to be increased while the Sim is watering, weeding or harvesting the plants in the garden. Even the Eaxis scripts themselves did not contain a line to boost the Sim's Fun motive while the Sim is performing a gardening task in the garden.

NOTE:

The series will conflict with other mods modifying the gardening tasks and/or motives related to the gardening tasks such as XLStormyLX's Children Can Garden mods. Her mods are based on my Less Hygiene Decay series.

Note of Differences:

Her mods included the changes to enable children to do the gardening tasks and to collect seeds. My series don't include the changes to allow the children to perform their gardening tasks or collect seeds.

Without a mod to affect the Hygiene motive when the gardening tasks are performed, the Sim's Hygiene motive would bottom out very quickly within minutes. With my series, the Sim's Hygiene motive would decay slowly over time, allowing them to work in the garden for longer periods of time. The series would be perfect for players who want farmers in their games.

Installation Notes:

You can choose either the Less Hygiene Decay or the Less Hygiene Decay And More Fun series to install.

There are four files contained in the Less Hygiene Decay From Garden Tasks .rar file and three files contained in the Less Hygiene Decay And More Fun From Garden Tasks .rar file.

You can chose any or all of the files inside either .rar file to install, but you cannot have both series installed.

Install the mod into the following location if you have XP:

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages

Do NOT put the mod anywhere else but that location. Vista shouldn't be any different.

You must have Pescado's framework mod to be installed in order for the mod to work with Sims 3.

You can find the framework mod at two locations:

Pescado's Hard Way:

Framework Mod

Newbie's Easy Way:

TS3 Monkey Installer

This is a new thread to combine all of the separate Less Hygiene Decay From threads that had individual mods. Better method to zip (rar) the files and cut down on clutter in the Pudding Improvements section.
30  The Sims 3 / Pudding Improvements / Faster Garden Tasks Series - Sims 3: December 15 2009 on: July 26, 2009, 04:14:31 am
World Adventures Information

Either mod works all right with WA or Patches 1.7.9 and higher. If there is a problem using the mod, make sure you install the mod into the right directory path:

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 World Adventures\Mods\Packages (XP users)

Or similar for Vista and Windows 7 players.

Other than that, I can't help with install issues because I don't use either Vista or Windows 7. You might need to search Sims 3 forums for help installing them into the right location.

Faster Garden Tasks - Sims 3 enables Sims without the Green Thumb trait and Super-Green Thumb reward to harvest, weed and water the plants much faster than they originally did, but they perform the tasks slightly slower than those Sims with the Green Thumb trait and Super-Green Thumb reward.

Features:

Weed is unlocked for Sims with no skill level in Gardening.
Fertilize is unlocked for Sims with no skill level in Gardening.
Chance for weeds to appear is increased to compensate for the faster weeding task.

Faster Garden Tasks - Only Skills Unlocked With No Increased Weed Chance

Features:

Weed is unlocked for Sims with no skill level in Gardening.
Fertilize is unlocked for Sims with no skill level in Gardening.

Faster Garden Tasks - No Unlocked Skills And Rares With No Increased Weed Chance

Features:

Only the harvesting, weeding and watering times are reduced.
No increased chance for weeds to appear.

Faster Garden Tasks - All Skills And Rares Unlocked With Increased Weed Chance

Features:

Weed is unlocked for Sims with no skill level in Gardening.
Fertilize is unlocked for Sims with no skill level in Gardening.
All rare seeds are unlocked for Sims with no skill level in Gardening.

Faster Garden Tasks - All Skills And Rares Unlocked With No Increased Weed Chance

Features:

Weed is unlocked for Sims with no skill level in Gardening.
Fertilize is unlocked for Sims with no skill level in Gardening.
All rare seeds are unlocked for Sims with no skill level in Gardening.
No increased chance for weeds to appear.

Special Notes:

Sims without the Green Thumb trait and Super-GreenThumb reward will take roughly 30 minutes to water at least 3 plants and 30 minutes to weed at least 3 plants. Sims without the Green Thumb trait and Super-GreenThumb reward will fertilize the plants at the same rate as those with the trait and reward do fertilizing the plants.

Sims 3 only!

Note:

This mod may or may not conflict with other similar mods. Use Indie Stone Compatibility Checker to ensure there is no conflict between this mod and other identical mods. It's one or the other, not both!

Nothing is enabled in the mod to allow children to perform gardening tasks.
