b_eagle: Where did Xena's dress and veil come from?

Thrior: The hair on the redhead in the pink tux, where did it come from? And LOL, you gotta love the old grandpa.

micrascimp: Such gorgeous pictures!

You're welcome HannaH! I love the dresses.

Sliim-Wow that wedding was wonderful but oh my, large families! My computer would explode if I invited that many people!

Ah. I've gotten it, thank you.

Lewis-Where did the bride's hair come from? It looks like Sshodan's but I'm not sure.

On to the next wedding, which features xhanna'sx dress!

The bride in this wedding (Marta Carter) was supposed to stay dead. I was trying for a male pizza deliverer and she popped up. Akiko (see my other wedding) was supposed to be a lot holder and killer, but I felt terrible for the two of them, so Akiko got her own life, but not before resurrecting Marta. Marta brought Darrel Brewer home from work and poof, the rest was history. Even though I think he's fugly as sin, I figured what the hey? Let them be happy. Marta is a family Sim, and I'm actually going to indulge her 10 kids/20 grandkids wants. I must really be insane.

Also: I envy all of you who have Bon Voyage. Community lot weddings work in my game, but I have the annoyance of the couple's engagement rings never becoming wedding rings, do they in BV? Plus I'm itching to throw a destination wedding and a church wedding, but until then, boring backyard weddings for me.

I apologize if the photos are a bit blah. I didn't get any good photos of the backyard all prettied up for them-or decent photos and closeups of the bride or groom all dressed up. Marta was also pregnant in this wedding-however she didn't collapse and pee herself during the wedding because I took care of her major needs before the ceremony.

Here is a photo of Marta. Isn't she gorgeous?

And Darrel, who I don't have a close up of, is fugly because his nose is crooked, his eyes are sunken in and his cheeks...please don't get me started. He's passed them to nearly all the children born so far (two outside marriage, two inside: the twins who were born after this wedding got Marta's face-hallelujah!) and I'm mad at him for doing so.

Here is Marta in her wedding dress!

I love this picture. "What do you think YOU'RE doing? You're ruining my picture!"
"Your flowers are in wonderful condition! They don't need any attention from me today!"

A long shot of the backyard.

Vows and kiss. *yawn, clunk, zzzzzz*

I allowed them one toast before I took away the bottle. If they could only control themselves...

And finally, Marta feeds her infant son, Lewis.

Edited since the photos were broken.

Yes, HannaH, I love the dresses, I already plan to use #3 in another wedding coming up.

I think my game reads my thoughts. As I was sending my next couple to the car to woohoo on a date, I thought, "Hey, wouldn't it stink if she got pregnant?" And the next thing I know...*ding da da ding da diiiiiing* Thanks, Risky Woohoo.

So, I now present to you Mr. Darrel Newport and Mrs. Akiko (Hummard) Newport. I am never working with a pregnant bride again. I'll show you why.

Here's a shot of them together.

Akiko

Back view of Akiko's dress. I happen to love this dress, I found it at The Sims Resource, it requires a pay mesh, though. Obtain the mesh however you will.

Darrel

And Inaya, Akiko's daughter.

The backyard.

Darrel gives Akiko a quick kiss for luck before the wedding.

The vows.

And the kiss.

Pretty standard, right? Well, this is where it gets interesting.

Akiko, being pregnant, passes out during the reception. Not once, not twice, but three times, the last in a puddle of her own pee. After that, I took away the toasting set. Stupid Sims.

I bought a small stereo to play some music during the ceremony and the reception. This dumb Sim decides it would be an awesome idea to dance throughout the ceremony and reception. Badly. I wouldn't have minded so much, but it was playing Vivaldi. And rocking out to Vivaldi = dumb Sim.

And finally, I have a partycrasher! This random little girl in the pink dress decides it would be fun to join in the toasting. (You can see said dumb guest shaking his booty to the stereo)

But when it's all said and done, the newlyweds (one covered in a cloud of green stink) depart on their honeymoon and all is right with the world.

I just had the first of the three couples I have get married. In this case, civil unioned. Nothing fancy, just a simple ceremony in the backyard, with cheesecake for the wedding cake.

I'd like to apologize in advance for my poor picture taking skills.

Hakira Hakkir (gen 3 spare of my Matriarchal Legacy) met her love Maureen Jackson, a teenage townie, on a blind date when they were teenagers. I sent them to college together and they got engaged at a restaurant.

This is Hakira.

This is Maureen, who I have no closeups of.

The vows and kiss.

And the family. From left to right: Edwin Hughes, Morgana's fiance (who was also a townie who I grew up from a child); Hakira's sister Morgana Hakkir; Maureen; Hakira; Saul Adkins, friend of Hakira's; and Samira Hakkir, mother of Hakira and my gen 2 heiress. Not pictured is Marie-Anna Hakkir, gen 3 heiress and who is pregnant, so I didn't dare let her touch that cheesecake; and Hakira's father Count Kevin Cohen, who obviously couldn't come because he'd be fried to a crisp.

I haven't had any weddings in ages (I've been playing a Matriarchal Legacy-only girls inherit the heirship and can live in the house), but the Gen 3 spares in my game are all grown up, so expect a load of pictures soon.

Sweetandpetite: You'll find it at the Sims2Graveyard.

Also, next time, don't bump up old topics, and do not post such questions here in this forum-there's a very helpful "Where Can I Find?" forum, as well as a tool called the "Search Button."
69  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Deleting items/hacks with custom memories + clothing. on: September 22, 2007, 08:11:51 pm
SimPe, why didn't I think of that? *facepalm*

Note about the custom memories: Deleting the objects and hacks doesn't seem to have done anything to my game (even though my poor main sim had miscarriage upon miscarriage and encounters using the adult shower as a teen *cough*.) The only unusual thing I noticed was that she had a memory in SimPe of "Burning Unknown." But I haven't removed my custom food yet. Her daughter's memories also don't seem to be affected, I was using the "Childhood Crushes" hack. So, I guess it's ok then.

Thanks. If I have problems, I'll let you know.
70  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / I need some help with rar files. on: September 22, 2007, 11:12:56 am
Do you have Winrar? It works for rar and zip files, too.
71  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Deleting items/hacks with custom memories + clothing. on: September 22, 2007, 09:32:42 am
Probably a stupid question, but: I have several hacks and items with custom memories in them. If I were to delete them from my game, would I corrupt the sim or my neighborhood?

Also, if I deleted an item of clothing using a custom mesh my sim is still wearing in game, would they just revert to Maxis clothing?
72  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Pictures / Re: Post your favorite Sim kids, toddlers or babies on: August 10, 2007, 07:12:51 pm
I figured it out. I deleted the CC eyes and skin I used on his father. I only figured it out because I have Crammyboy's realistic "male parts" hack and I set "it" to Carlos' skin tone, now "it" doesn't match. But there's another problem...since I redownloaded the skin and eyes, both Carlos and Morrow's uncle Alesander have turned jet black. So, yet another thing I have to scratch my head over and fix later, as tomorrow I get to go to a wedding. (Insert sarcastic "yay" here).
73  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Pictures / Re: Post your favorite Sim kids, toddlers or babies on: August 10, 2007, 10:16:31 am
Morrow grew up into a toddler, I hope he grows into his face...

And I'm scratching my head over where his eyes and pale skin came from. His father or mother doesn't have them, maybe his grandmother or grandfather? I'm pretty sure that neither one of them had pale skin or gray eyes.

I have inTeen, too, but I had forgtten they could have miscarriages. =/ That's so sad, slim.

My sim, Carlos, and his wife Tyler just had a son, Morrow, and I just love this face:

Yes, Tyler is naked...Morrow should be having a brother or sister soon.
