Try 50% method instead of one by one, if you have more than 2 cc/hack items it will save a lot of time. It's easy, just divide your custom content in two parts. Then add first part in dl folder and start the game. If game runs fine, then first part is good. If not, the faulty file(s) are in there. Anyway, now you know which part causes the problems. The you just continue dividing, adding and taking until you have found problem files. This will take some time, but is definitely faster than than trying files one by one. Here's the link with more info about 50% method and locating problem cc. http://www.modthesims2.com/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Finding_Problem_Custom_Content

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Two gameplay problems with running an OFB restaurant.

Running a restaurant maybe fun, but it certainly does not bring in any cash if you have to pay salaries.
I been playing a lot with my Turkish restaurant, which is run by Ali Iskender, a created character. Ali Lost a lot of money in early stages, while I was just learning things and had to keep his day job to fund this expensive hobby. Slowly I learned how to do it, the restaurant received many prizes and praises, but Ali was still loosing money, if not so much but still some. So, then I developed a masterplan: I got Ali married with a beautiful blonde woman, who was already pregnant, but single. Ali earned some dough from his day job as a cook (I don't use money cheats), so he could build a second floor to his house and in she moved. A boy was born and soon a second one, this time Ali was the father.
So, as the first born became teenager Ali had a whole new crew. Even the smaller kid helped to clean the place, while Ali cooked, wife hosted and the teenage boy waited. Now there's also some income, but still not much.
Restaurant business would be really fun if there'd be at least 30% more income. And I don't think that would be unrealistic at all. Restaurants, other than soup kitchens, are there because they bring money to their owners.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Few Freetime problems: writing a novel, huge salary, CAS, etc.

I installed Freetime recently.
Some npc bozo brought a new computer in a gift package to one of characters, Josepo. So, as Josepo is a new political talent I commanded him to write a novel to get creativity points for a promotion. Josepo sits down and turns on the computer and there's an exciting new screen about storyline. I clicked on five items and a book cover and continued. Next what happens is Josepo abandons the project and starts to play a game. I tried the same few times in next few days with always the same result. Josepo doesn't even carry on with the same storyline.
Next problem was that when Josepo got promoted he always earned about 10times more simoleons than before.
At this point I got fed up and thought about creating a new character. I went to CAS, and what do you know - you can't see any tooltip texts over the small images of clothes. So how I am supposed to tell which clothes belong to 34d36 body and which to Classic Pin Up?
I actually had very few problems with other EP's, have all of them, but now I'm thinking maybe it wasn't such a good idea to buy Freetime.
