That's pretty darn cute... y'know, people always want to kill Angela, but I always wanted to see her and Lilith get on and gang up on their parents a bit...

I dunno, personally, I always screw her up a bit, but I tend to give her a happy ending.  :twocents:

I'd love to know who that was so I can thank them - seeing that really made my day Cheesy

Well, that would defeat the purpose of anonymous secrets, wouldn't it?

Buzz is currently clueless, so I don't think anyone has to worry about Stephen very much.

Weeeellll.... It DOES tend to run in families.  No idea who I caught it from in mine, but it had to be someone.

Hell, I'm down with wherever this storyline goes just so long as I can see Buzz in a swimsuit.  Hey, it IS summer in canon...and that is one FINE set of pixels.

:lurk:

Aw man - too bad I got rid of the EAxis hoods long time ago >.>

Want them back?
6  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / why is everyone so pessimistic about the sims 3? on: September 02, 2008, 04:28:39 am
Honestly?  I am really, really apprehensive.  I don't think I'm going to get it, guys.  Primarily due to what happened to my Sims game when I got Sims 2; i.e., it has gone untouched for the last nearly six years (or however long TS2 has been out).  And I don't miss it at all.  Which makes me worry that I would want to leave my current game behind and not look back.  I guess what I'm worried about is that I will get attached to TS3 and never play my neighborhoods again, and I don't think I could bear that.

And also the mystery of Olive's long lost son. Smiley

Ha, well, I think we ALL know who THAT is, but just the same...I can't help but love it when he gets involved. :3

The explanation for the new avatar is this: you all remember that song I posted weeks and weeks ago?  It's the logo of Enter The Haggis, the band who sings it.

It's also a screaming bagpipe.  Which just rocks my sox.

Ah, so, you merged the neighborhoods yourself?  I would love to do that, but in my mind they're all in different states.  That and the fact that I would just invariably bork it all to hell.  So, props for the attempt at least!

Yeah, Sim ghosts are all different colors; I was trying to get my Uglacy to have ghosts of all different colors before I irrepairably shattered it.  I really should have watched closer on Don's date--I knew there was a vampire on the lot, and so was Mrs. C, because she just got finished beating the snot out of him for sex in the hot tub.  Never let those on the same lot together unattended, let me tell you.  I grabbed a hack now, it shouldn't happen again.

Looks like Buzz is actually starting to think about the consequences of his actions.  Good for him; it's a long time coming it seems.

So, how you like my new avatar?  I'll bet you'll never guess what it is from.

Tank + Pants = Lulz.  That amused me greatly.  And he has new holes in his face too.  Smiley

Someday soon I will be finished making all the CC that I need to make my game playable, so I can actually restart stuffs.  I managed to grab everything in my Downloads folder no prob, but I forgot to pull my Saved Sims folder.  With over a hundred hours of work in it.  I contemplated eating a bullet for a couple hours after that while I was reinstalling.

No worries, tho.  I is all rights nao.  I finished all my eyes (they're even townie friendly now, as well as properly heritable) and I only have to fiddle with HP Idolatry's and get them where I want them now.

I should be able to play again by Monday.  LOL.

About Peter, I've noticed no one ever picked up on the change of name I gave - which is good, since no one's complained either Cheesy I dunno why Maxis didn't give him a civilian name, if I'm honest, since they describe him as wanting to live among humans.

Actually, I think we all noticed, but I guess nobody had an issue with it.  I like him with a human name anyway.  It does seem like he would want to mesh more than Maxis let on with the name it gave him.

Myself, I took a leaf from Madame Ugly;  I renamed him Paul (since he's a PAULinator.  LAWL.) in my game.  Of course, that was before old Crumplebutt got herself vamped and my game borked.  So, yeah, reinstall was called for.  I went a little crazy because of that.

You'd love to see bios? They're already written, by Maxis. Have a leaf through them next time you're playing - Buzz's one is hilarious!

Or would you rather I do a copy/paste job and put them up here? Wink

No, no, unnecessary.  It took me this long to realize they HAD bios.  Learn something new everyday, I guess.

I'm especially inclined to go with the area 51 theory - anyone noticed that the Grunts live at 51 Road To Nowhere? I'm only glad I haven't mentioned setting in my story yet - not too late to switch, is it?

Wow....It's been years since I opened that 'hood , so, no, I hadn't seen that (I loved it lots in my last install, but that's on the other hard drive I can never have access to).  As for moving the setting, I don't think that would be necessary.  It's within driving distance, should anything go down.

Maybe I'll have old Olive invite the General around for tea and a poke in the graveyard, then. :3

@AxelVal: No, I like...spent three hours looking on a topographical map of Arizona for the perfect place to put Strangetown canyon.  This was in lieu of actually writing something that I should have been.

It seems like they're in a southern part of the US with the way Johnny shortens his words.  But that's just me.

Personally, I usually stick Strangetown in Arizona, although I think I was meant to be near Area 51 (In Nevada).  I actually gave it map co-ordinates, even.  I am a sad, strange little girl.  Smiley  There's a lot of desert around that area, so I thought it made the most sense.  But the hills aren't nearly colorful enough to be out near the Painted Desert, so...yeah.

Yeah, the Painted Desert is one of those things that I think people should see if they take a vacation to this country.  It's pretty marvelous--in fact, I think I still have some pictures of it from when we were little kids.

Yeah, yeah, I started all this crap.  That's me, the little s#17-starter.  Tongue

Would love to see bios, Sadie.  I love me some backstory. :3  But first, burger and blouse.

@SteelGuy:  Well, you're already up on us.  The US has five types of widow spider, thirteen types of recluses, a huntsman in the West and the Redback Jumping Spider.  All semi-toxic to deadly.  That's not even going into the snakes, scorpions and other venomous beasties that frequent this country.  Like divorce lawyers.  We're developing an anti-venom for that.

So, frankly, I would enjoy some wimpy wildlife for a change.

Where is it you're from? I gather it's somewhere down south..?  ...  Anyway though... here isn't the place to engage in such heavy debate, so we'd better shut up about that I think

Actually I'm smack in the middle of Tornado Alley.  In Kansas.  I dunno, maybe it would be better for me if and when I move to Lawrence (which is incredibly liberal, especially as compared to the Fort up here).

Oh I hear it's not anything total and ultimate, but little things that chip away at laws and stuff.  And yeah, that's why I didn't go into it heavily.  If you have an Xfire account I can add you, we can talk about whatever whenever.  I'm on Xfire more than anything else, and even that's not that much.  If you don't I can make Trill' load on startup again.
