Well, okay then. You can lock this now, I guess.

But would it be possible to have the Sims 3 Buzz section renamed to Sims 3 Discussion? I know it's not a big deal or anything, but the game has already been released and "Discussion" would sound more legit. Tongue

I love it. I can't stop playing it Tongue
Now that's a surprise. shocked

As for me, I also really like it. I do have my little gripes here and there, but they don't bug me too much.
4  Welcome to insimenator.org / The Welcome Wagon / I guess you could say I'm "back"... on: June 14, 2009, 03:10:03 pm
Hey all, It's Triple_sSs. Don't know if many people remember me, but I'm one of the "veterans" from when Insim first started. I think I used to be somewhat popular here for a couple years, but eventually I began to lose interest in The Sims 2 and this site, mostly throughout the year of 2008, so I kinda just faded away and mostly lurked around whenever I came back to visit.
But just recently, I picked up a copy of The Sims 3 and believe it or not, I actually kinda like it, despite all the harsh criticism it's been getting around here. So I guess TS3 has helped renew my interest in the sims, and thus I might start posting here again.
Though I am sometimes busy with real life nowadays, I still hope to come around here more often now. Smiley

Wow, I'm surprised this thread is still alive! It's been almost three years since I made it, and there's still people posting in it. Thanks guys! Smiley

Sorry if this is old news but anyways, I saw that the guys at the sims 2 site have made these macros called "lolsims" which I guessing are supposed to be like lolcats, but with sims.
http://thesims2.ea.com/community/lolsims/index.php

Personally, I hate these kind of macros/images/whatever-they-are things, but I though you guys might like them.

Wow, I'm really not sure what to say. Sad
I just recently found out about the all the drama that happened to the site, and I'm pretty disappointed that the old insim is no more. Though I do feel relieved that the site was rescued, it still feels bittersweet to me.

Now I've actually been disinterested in TS2 and the site for a long time now, but I was interested for an even longer time. I pretty much grew up with this site for a few years, so I have lots of fond memories with insim; I still have a deep connection with this place. But now, even with the forum back, everything feels completely different, and not just because of the new forum software. And I still have to wonder, will we ever get to see Kathy and Eric again? Why are they banned from this forum? Will the insim ever get updated again, for the sims 3 even?
I really wish I knew. They were very nice, loyal people. Everybody knew them. They were everyone's friends. They were my friends. Why have some people suddenly turned their backs on them?
Anyways, would appreciate if someone could enlighten me on this whole situation, I'm just really distressed about this and could use some clarification.

But still, thanks to everyone who helped save the site and preserved what's left of my precious memories. Smiley

I tried these animations in my toddler poses it works but no pots & pans can be seen, lol EaXis never made a BHAV to use with those animations.

Well, that's good to hear it worked.

But I forget what a BHAV is, is it possible to make your own for this animation?
And where there already pots/pans made for the animations? I also thought the adult sims could use the pot/pan objects for cooking, maybe you could use those for this animation?

Regardless, I wouldn't mind seeing this added the toddler poses hack even without the pots and pans.

Hello again Squinge.
Though I'm not that interested in TS2 anymore, there's this old request from early '07 that I wanted to bring back up for old times sake. It's about some hidden animations I found in the base game.

Here it is again: (from this thread)

Quote
I've found another set of hidden animations! They appear to be animations for toddlers to play with pots and pans, and it has something to do with counters.

They're in Objects00 package file in the Sims3D of the base game, and here are the names of the animation references:

p2o-counter-play-bangpots-bangground_anim
p2o-counter-play-bangpots-banghead_anim
p2o-counter-play-bangpots-bangtogether_anim
p2o-counter-play-bangpots-end_anim
p2o-counter-play-bangpots-loopbreath_anim
p2o-counter-play-bangpots-start_anim

Do you think you could check this out, Squinge? Would really appreciate it. Smiley

11  A Safe Haven / Forum Games / Ruin someone's wish! on: May 24, 2008, 12:53:31 pm
To make up for me not visiting here that much, I thought I'd start a new game!

In this game, you post a wish, and the next person grants it, but also adds a consequence. Like so:
Quote
I wish for more money.

And then:
Quote
Granted. Monopoly money!

I wish for anything.

Now let's start!

I wish for a billion dollars.

:oogle:  Hold the phone... no toddlers and teens?  Are they seriously taking it back to Sims 1 with concerns to the age field?  :eh:  That sucks... I like all of the life stages.  Having all the stages gives it more realism, despite how some people seem to find those two stages annoying somehow... and taking them out seems sort of like a downgrade instead of the upgrade to "gradual" aging I had hoped to see in this one.  Sad  Don't see anything that's going to change my mind at getting this, especially with that little tidbit in the mix with the other continuous AI living thing...  :angry7:

I don't think they're excluding the toddler and teen age stages, 'cause those other stages were listed under "Things that will not change," so they might just be saying that those stages will still be there.

Something else that caught my eye at SnootySims:

- The game will have modding tools built into it.

Now that, I like! Smiley
14  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Who's going to get the The Sims 3? on: March 17, 2008, 09:19:55 pm
I'm looking forward to sims 3, cause I've gotten tired with ts2, and I'm ready for a change. So I plan on getting it sometime whenever it comes out.
15  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Female Hair / The rest of the Hidden Maxis Hair Recolors on: February 09, 2008, 10:50:37 pm
This is probably one of the last uploads you'll see from me for quite a while.
I should have uploaded these over a year ago (Not kidding Tongue) but I never got around to it, until now...

Here are the last of those maxis hair recolors you could only find in the mirror:
Three colors for the "punk" hair (Pink, purple, and blood red), two "frosty" colors for the "shortcute" hair (Blond and purple), two colors for the "acorn tuck" hair (Strawberry and purple), and a "choppy" hair recolor I overlooked called "red streak". (Similar to the "pink on black" color, but with the pink more streaked)

Hopefully, I'll start playing the sims more often sometime soon and in turn,  visiting the site too. I hope you enjoy! Smiley
