Well, if you are still willing to try & help a die-hard TS2 player, here's what I can tell you about me & SimPE:

-I can hide/un-hide clothing/hair/etc
-I can alter the category, age & gender an outfit/etc will *show up* for
-I can gentitify & towniefy (de-customize) stuff
-I have made several of my own skins
-I made my own *elders-use-adult-mesh* mod so my elders don't look like crap
-I made my own default override skins
-I am currently studying the tutorial at MTS about how to make my own tattoo overlays that stick
-I have cloned/registered a few objects & have a registered user name (2, actually) on the SimPE GUID database
-I am ever-so-slowly learning (some) about BHAV stuff

My *skinning* process is as follows:

-Fire up Body Shop & export/import a skin to make the *dummy* package
-Use SimPE (Build DXT) to import my own textures, which I make/alter in PaintShop Pro X
I also make my own thumbnail & add my own description text.

So basically, I'm good as far as creating the various baby *outfits* (skins) goes, I just need to know:

A) How to attach them to the controller,
B) If it's okay to clone the controller & give it a new GUID (& picture) so I can have multiple controllers in the game at once (I want one controller per skintone I use) &
C) If I can attach more than 13 *outfits* (skins) to a given controller?

I am very interested in making my own outfit changers to match the skins/outfits I use in my game, but haven't seen where anyone explains how to do this.

So...any chance of a tutorial?

Stupid question for you:

If I install this No Witch mod, how (in a new hood with no playable witches) can I have a Sim become a witch? I like playable witches, just tired of the NPC (evil in particular) one!

This may sound impossible, but the options to package lots in LS and PS is missing whenever I select a lot to load.

I know it's possible to package them (as others have done so) but I have no clue as to why I can't.

There is an empty space where the package icon should be, but no icon. Clicking the blank space does nothing, I tried.

I have finished the Story Modes & am in Free Play Mode.

I am launching the games (legally purchased from the local Best Buy) from no-cd exe files & not the built-in launcher. (Don't want that crap on my computer if I can help it!)

Any thoughts?

It's kinda looking like this may be due to the fact that my copies of the Stories series games were just recently (under 2 weeks ago) purchased, so they are different "versions" than the ones most the rest of you all have. It appears as though EA may have tweaked stuff in later releases, but that's just a guess (from the info I gathered on another site) right now...

That's because the patch was pulled until Maxis can fix an issue with installation errors for some users.

It seems that using the Sewing Machine to make a Custom Outfit causes the game to rewrite one of it's package files, causing the patch to "think" the game had been tampered with (which it had, by itself!) which caused installation errors/refusals for many players. Players who had just got the game and/or not yet used the Custom Outfit options had no problems.

As of a few days ago, you could still find the patch on this (New Zealand?) EA Site http://www.ea.co.nz/en-nz/ , however you will have to create a non-USA user account (USA is not an option given) to get it. (This is were I got my patch, as I just purchased Free Time .)

Looks like the patch is still there, if you want to try & get it...

I find simply using a no-cd crack to be far less stressful than ranting & raving about the whole SecuROM scandal. Life's just too darn short for such unneeded drama!

EA/Maxis gets my $30 & I get to play a game I completely enjoy without any added PC complications.

Hmmmm. (Nipples are fine but genitalia on Sims really creeps me out.)

Since it's possible to set Elders to be able to use Adult clothing, is there any chance I can do the same when it comes to their nude state? (Just the body of course! The Elder face is fine by me.)

If so, where can I find the MESH files I would need? (I'm guessing- if it's possible at all- it's not just a matter of replacing the Textures....)

Forgive the stupid question, but am I right in my understanding that a nude mesh override placed in my Downloads folder will not effect existing Sims & that the only way to get it to do so is to follow the instructions in the first post?

Also in what folder will I find the Maxis default nude meshes?

Oops: I was having a brain "hiccup" when I first posted! I know that a default will override a Maxis skin if it's placed in my Downloads folder (duh!) & what I am really interested in is finding an override for the Elder nude meshes, as I am- obviously- not a modder!

I have just learned how to convert Adult clothes for Elder use & just want to find out if there are any not-so-decrepit looking nude replacements out there that aren't X-rated. (I prefer the "Barbie Ken" look in my game right now.)

I came across an override for that annoyingly large in-game plumbbob at decided to give it a try. At the time, my game was everything-up-to-Pets & the override didn't work at all for me.

I have now gone back to my (very heavily modded) everything-up-to-Seasons/Celebrations state & suddenly the override is working  for all my Sims except the ones in Riverblossom Hills & the Cyd/Porthos that live in Pleasantview. (I have a Cyd/Porthos in all my hoods, and the override works just spiffy for him everywhere except Pleasantview &, of course Riverblossom Hills.)

Anyone out there have any idea what I can do th fix this? (The "Plumbbobtoggle" cheat won't work at all for me.)

Will these default replacements conflict with the "Ideal PlantSim Replacement" over on MTS2?
