34  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Losing Simming Motivation on: May 08, 2008, 07:09:38 pm
I must really be loosing interest right now. Today I went to find something, and thought I don't need that and I don't need all these links. I deleted 9 pages/subfolders full of Sims 2 links. I haven't downloaded in a couple weeks now I think. Plus, I think I'm going to go in and take my downloads and divide them again. I took it from 3 gigs to under 1 gig, and now I'm ready to get rid of more. I may just delete it all including the Sims depending on how I feel. I've never did this before. But, I'm thinking more and more it's time for me to just stick with my little games and get away from this PC more. I lost another friend, and she was only 2 years older than me. The second one this year. The other one was the same age as me. My father is still hanging on, but I don't know for how long. I'm starting to really believe I've spent too much time on other things, when I should have been spending more time with my family. We never know how long we have. Who knows how I'll feel next week or next month.

I think all of us loose interest from time to time. There have been several times I'll quit playing for a couple weeks to a month, then I go back and play them.

44  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Farm Life EP on: April 30, 2008, 01:55:02 am

Sims could have small family farms where the kids can help raise the veggies and animals. I'd love to see working tractors and other kinds of equipment, even a workable dairy barn, with all breeds of cattle and you can make different breeds like you can in pets. You could have the animals give birth and sell the offspring at the local auction.

Then there is the whole OFB take on farming and ranching, where sims can make a living off their work by selling the produce/animals. You could even have fish farms.

Let's have a hoedown, a barn-raising, a country harvest. There could be cellars for the root veggies and stand-by tornado shelters, and silos for the grain.

Of course there would have to be new musical instruments added, like banjos, mandolins, washboards and harmonicas.

Ok, I'm in. This sounds like a fun new twist.

Oo great ideas! I didn't even think about musical instuments, or working machinery. Let alone tornados, cellars. Silos! We could even have the aliens making crop circles. lol We need to add potatoes too, so the children can have potato sack races. This Ep could open up more opportunities too for the sims with the Young Farmers club. They could earn ribbons at the fair, learn to care for animals. EA can just hand us the reigns, we'll show 'em how these things are done. Wink
45  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / How do I get the gnome back? on: April 29, 2008, 11:28:52 am
You can't just go and get them back, usually if the sim is really outgoing you'll see them do the sneaky walk and then they disappear and come back with the Gnome and then giggle. Or they'll do the stealing. If it's a mean sim they'll do the punching their hand thing then disappear and come back with their gnome. If you have a servo on the lot they always go and steal back the gnomes. But I've never had a sim that was in the middle go and steal it back. Some sims will cry when they see their gnomes have been stolen, and get the I've been robbed memory.
