Can we do this for also altering the height backwards? Like say I wanted to make a troll or goblin? If I made a custom skin ok that's a ways away. But I want to do that, could I alter the height permantely for that sim backwards?

Oo Lookey I did it and it worked!!! Ok I was being silly first I made a smiley face and used a Maxi's eye. lol But it really worked. Now I need to figure out how to get it to be just one eye, then I can do lots like fire, a clover, the earth, etc...etc. It's attached if you want to check if I did it rigt. But it shows up in blush and it goes in the eyes. Thank you!!

Oh I forgot can you change the swatch on it? So it shows the preview of the eye instead of that squiggly line Maxis made?

Thank you very much. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. I am just learning, so I didn't want to use someone's mesh and mess it up. I figured if I killed Maxis mesh, alpha, etc...no one would mind too much. lol

Thank you Jase! I just updated the thumbnails. I'll try removing the groups.cache let it rebuild and see if that fixes my problem.

I have been working on those dresses all night, but I cannot get Maxis meshes to allow me to alter the alpha. I tried everything, so I don't know what I am doing wrong. I flooded the part I wanted covered in black, then in white. I did the same on the texture map, then I finally gave up. I did not want this bow, and I wanted the center to curve down and go around the lower part of the back, not go straight across. I tried and tried.

I did do these..the blue one was first, then I did the green one and got it to look a little better, then I did the red one...I'm uploading the package for all three. The bmp is over 3 megs! and all three packages are only a little over 300K so thats what I'm uploading. I hope this is what you need. I think I need to do a step by step tutorial on how to export a mesh in SimPE so I can put it in Milkshape and try to get what I want in there. But I hope I'm on the right track here, my brain hurts. lol

PS Apologies the pictures are not great I compressed them at 15 to keep the kb small. Ok I added one in a lower compression so you can see what it actually looks like.

So then the contacts show up in blush? Or did I miss something? I could just see it now, me thinking I made this cool pair of contacts and go to use them and plop now I have 4 eyes two on my cheeks and two in my eyeball sockets. lol

That was my problem default skin replacements, I removed all default replacements, but the skins were my problem. Eyes too, you have to be careful with those eye replacements. Now I have them all re-installed but all I get is these plain blue boxes till I click on each box for the clothing then it changes the clothing, male swimshorts replacements. The skins/eyes I have pet replacements so they don't look like they are squinty are fine, those all showed back up after I updated thumbnails but for some reason the clothing didn't. But, I had to re-install the skins/sim and plantsim to get something besides a floating head. lol

Updated: Don't forget to update your thumbnails after you reinstall your default replacements. See here is my problem with the swimsuits even after I updated the thumbnails. Just a blue box but if I click on them they are there and change.

These are great you did a fantastic job! My father was also in the Navy. But I served in the Army, where's my Army uniform dang it. I got a Marine and now a Navy. I need my Army uniform so I can dress up a couple males in their uniform, me in my own and go down to the local NCO club and whoop their butts. roflmao

It won't let you do that, you have to use Season's. Celebration is just a stuff pack not an EP. I had this problem but it is because I had installed a default replacement. I also couldn't install the patch till I corrected it. Some default replacements are ok, but others will keep you from installing the patches, as well as cause problems should you remove them. I was having this problem installing the season's patch, then I read on MTS2 that using default replacements can keep the patches from installing at all. So I removed it, which did allow me to install the patch, and the Maxis stuff doesn't just come back. Like in my CAF all I had was a floating head, because once I had removed the defualt to install the patch there was no more. The Maxis default did not automatically come back, and on the preview it was a floating head and not of the Sim I was creating. Then in the CAF actual screen it was the Sim I was making. Now I have the default replacement placed back in the game, but there are no more previews. So now I have three choices since I obviously can't get back the original defaults unless I reinstall the game. Plus updating thumbnails did not fix it after I reinstalled the default replacement. That is to go without previews and just click on each thing till I get what I want, or keep it removed and suffer with just a floating head or lastly uninstall and reinstall so I can get the original defaults back.
