1  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: So I spoke with an employee of EA Sims 3 team today.. on: April 10, 2010, 11:15:50 pm
I'd be interested to see, not only sales figures for TS3, but sales figures for the various TS2 collections that are still on the market.  I wouldn't be too surprised if TS2 is outselling TS3.  XD

Could you please consider updating Selectable Babies and Encourage Anyone for AL?  Thanks very much.  Smiley
4  Retired Creators / Objects / FreeTime Footballhelmet as wearable object*Updated 06-11-2008* on: June 09, 2008, 07:52:50 pm
Oooh, very nice!  So shiny!  :D  I was gonna grab it and see if I could make a motorcycle helmet out of it, but if you're planning to do it then I'll wait.  XD

Very lovely!  Is Justice's garland custom content, or does it come with one of the stuff packs?
6  Retired Creators / Guest Recolors / Striped Infant Jammies - Three Colors on: November 15, 2007, 03:14:34 pm
I adore the replacement infant mesh (love those wee hats! XD) but I felt the babies needed something to keep their little legs warm, too!  So I made these...

Once again, you can only use one recolor at a time (wish some really whiz-bang modder would find us a way around that.)  XD

Feedback welcome, and thank you BlooM for the lovely new mesh!

8  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / ATTENTION! New Body Shop Bug!!!!111!1eleven on: October 20, 2007, 02:40:01 pm
Hmm, Beos, are you sure the extraneous file you're getting is actually Sims05.package?  Because in my game that file is only 367 KB and contains only an NMAP and a bunch of SHPE's, no CRES's.  Could something else have gotten squished in with it or misnamed?

Thanks for the heads-up.  This makes the second (and by far the more serious) BodyShop issue I've seen crop up with BV, which I would say is now pretty much uncontested for the title of Buggiest Piece-Of-Crap EP to date... :p
10  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Sims / Alec Holland, aka The Swamp Thing on: August 23, 2007, 10:13:58 pm
Thanks for all the kind words, everyone!  I just added a new version of the Swamp Thing skin that works for all ages and genders.  Smiley
11  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Sims / Alec Holland, aka The Swamp Thing on: August 22, 2007, 10:40:26 pm
*Waves shyly*  Hi there, I hope this guy is appropriate for the forum...he is a DC character, though not exactly a superhero.

The Swamp Thing's eyes are made by me.  His skin is textured by me and cloned from one of Marvine and Beosboxboy's showerproof Bodybuilder skintones, and of course he requires their Bodybuilder base meshes located here.  (The "nude clothing" he wears is also theirs and located in the same thread.)

ETA: I forgot to add that the "earth elemental" textures in his skin appear only for adult males; all the rest are as per Maxis default S1.  I've had a request for a full-blown version for all ages and genders, though, so I have now made that and attached it below.  It will overwrite the original and should replace it on any existing Sims, though it may take a trip to the mirror to make the changes show up.

Please note that this new skin version has not been tested with babies and uses standard Maxis body meshes for all ages and genders except adult male.  (You will also need "nude" clothing for the new ages and genders.)  Also, I realized when I edited it this evening that I had used an alternate teeth graphic I downloaded somewhere; if anyone recognizes the artist, I'll be happy to give credit and/or replace the texture upon request.

I've also got the entire Holland family over at MATY, if anyone's interested: here

Feedback is very welcome!

I've only heard good things about it, but I don't use it personally because it seems over complicated compared to opening a text file and inserting a bit of stair or fireplace code.  :p
13  Resident Creators / Squinge's Mods / No more mystery sim memories on: May 25, 2006, 03:20:55 pm

This mod just prevents those mystery sim memories from being created but those memories will still be created about very first kiss, ect. with real sims that are in you neighborhoods.

Hmm.  Don't suppose it would be possible to make one that just scraps those memories entirely?

What does delurk mean?

To "lurk" means hanging around a forum or chat, reading what is posted but rarely or never posting yourself.  "Delurk" is when someone who usually lurks decides to actually speak up and post something.  Smiley

Hey Squinge, I thought I'd report some oddness I experienced with this mod, which happened with both an older and the latest build of the InTeen/EP3 version.  I have all EP's except the Holiday and Family Fun Pack (U.S. English versions) and I use a number of different hacks that affect the pie menus, including several of yours, Carrigon's Naked Dressing hack, Crammyboy's "adult" hacks and the InTeenimator, but after extensive switching out of hacks I'm pretty certain this is the one that caused the issue.

When I place the file(s) in my Downloads\Squinge folder, I get jump bugs all over the place and no menus appear when I click on a selected Sim, only a tooltip which says "This is the active Sim."  However, when I move the mod to my Downloads\Temp or my Downloads\zMustLoadLast folder (where I keep everything that has to load after something else,) it seems to work fine.

I note that there are now two files and one of them has the z prefix, so I assume there's something going on with the loading sequence that you're aware of...could we maybe get some instructions as to how exactly the mod has to be installed when using subfolders?
