Resident Creators / Squinge's Mods / No More Horn Honking
|
on: October 08, 2008, 03:37:53 pm
|
This is working great. I was wondering if you could give us a pop-up when the carpool arrives though? The honking was driving me nuts, but now Sims occasionally miss the carpool.

Resident Creators / EP8 Mods / Dress Outerwear No Spin EP8 Updated(10-4-08)
|
on: October 04, 2008, 01:26:51 pm
|
I have been playing a residential lot with several buildings on it, forcing Sims to constantly go in and out. With the mod in place, they do not spin when putting on their coats but they also do not change back to casual when they go back inside.
When I removed the mod the Sims again change back into casual when entering the buildings.
ETA: I changed the doors to different types of Maxis doors while the mod was in place with no difference. However, I just realized that I tried double doors only on this lot. I didn't try changing them to single doors.

Resident Creators / Mod Requests / AL Update for noDropServingPlatter
|
on: October 01, 2008, 02:32:15 pm
|
Sorry, got lost and couldn't find this thread again.
My senility must be showing because I could swear that this mod made a Sim place it on the counter when cancelling it from the queue, as well as whenever serving was interupted. I'm pretty sure that it was working like that in my game. I'm not going by the mod description but rather by past observed behavior, or so I thought. I originally downloaded it because I had a mother with a large family who kept starving because she took so long to serve all the plates and I wanted her to place it on the counter if I cancelled her serve action.
Sorry for the inconvenience then, I'll keep a watch to see if they are placing it on the counter when simply interupted.
Carry on then, nothing to see here but confused old people.

Resident Creators / EP8 Mods / Toddler Spring Rider Skill Gain Enabled
|
on: September 30, 2008, 06:34:58 pm
|
Just to be sure that I am thinking correctly, toddlers do not normally gain any of these things from the Spring Rider?
I ask because I put in the mod and placed a toddler on the rider. She had just turned toddler and had no skills or fitness yet. A few minutes later I took her off and she had maxed out her fitness and had a 9 in body skill.
While I do want them to gain body, fitness and enthusiasm, I think that this mod is building the skill and fitness too fast. She only reached 2 in fitness enthusiasm, so that appears to be about right. It turned out her true hobby was fitness. Did she build her skill and body faster because of this?
Is there a way to make the skill and fitness building a little slower? If there is an easy way to adjust it with SimPe, I can do it with instructions.

Resident Creators / Mod Requests / AL Update for noDropServingPlatter
|
on: September 20, 2008, 01:41:31 am
|
I've been using noDropServingPlatter for a long time and it has always worked well. That is, until I installed FT or AL. I'm not sure which one broke it because I installed them close together. Anyway, they are back to dropping the serving platter on the floor if the serve action gets cancelled for any reason.
I have the original file if you need it.

Resident Creators / EP8 Mods / Monique's Computer/Laptop Varieties - Apartment Life (9-22-08) - UPDATED
|
on: September 17, 2008, 07:05:36 am
|
These are new games for FT that aren't available on the video game racks on community lots. The only way to get them to show up on the computer is to either let Mr Humble drop the gift off or get one of the two mods that gives you a choice to accept or reject the gift or buy the computer in Buy Catalog.
I should know. I sent my Sims to the community lots to buy video games. The FT games don't show up as a choice among the older games to choose from to buy. I was updating one of my Comm lots when I noticed that there is now a 2nd display rack for the video games that looks just like the original in the catalog (with a slightly different description about it being updated). I replaced the old racks on my comm lots with the new one and they sell the new games as well as previous games. Stupid designers made a whole new rack instead of updating the old one.

Resident Creators / EP5 Mods / Any Lifetime want for all aspirations EP5 Updated (5/28/07)

I tried to give my Sim the Adventurer Career LTW, but it wouldn't show up. It did show up for other Sims. I posted a question about it and found that the Sim wasn't outgoing enough. Discussed here: http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,28.msg235837.html#msg235837OK. I understand that this Sim didn't have all the prerequisites, but isn't that what this mod is all about, circumventing those prerequisites? Or did you just bypass the Aspiration check? I was using FFS Lot debugger to cycle through the available LTW's, not a random LTW picker. I cycled through the LTW's several times for that one Sim to give him the Adventurer Career, but it just would skip past that choice in the cycle.

Resident Creators / Squinge's Mods / Autonomous Lie Detector

Pescado's Comm Skilling, and his Macrotastics, but nothing that changes how skill points are awarded (No cheaty stuff). Also your faster painting plus skilling. None of these are new to my game, have all played well together in the past, and were updated for Seasons.
This error is being thrown in a dorm lot, not on a community lot (I haven't tried the item there). So I am guessing that Comm Skilling isn't responsible. Oddly enough, the Sim doesn't jump out of the chair when the error is thrown, but continues to use it, although they aren't gaining any fun by doing so. I am not sure whether they are gaining creativity or not. I haven't seen any pop-ups announcing that they have gained a point on it. Also, all of your other autonomous aspiration items are still working correctly.
There is also nothing showing as conflicting with Hack Detector either. I guess I'll have to track the error down with a binary search. Thanks for looking at the error log for me.

I installed Seasons and am working out the kinks. One problem that I am having is that Sims using this item are now throwing errors. Could you take a look at one of the sample errors and tell me where the problem lies?

Resident Creators / EP4 Mods / Water the shrubs EP4
|
on: December 12, 2006, 03:51:10 pm

Is there a male only version for EP4?
It's fine if both sexes of pets pee on the shrubs, but I would prefer if my female sims don't. I know I've been using an earlier version of this that is male only.
