33  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / Garden of the Hesperides Collector Plate on: December 23, 2008, 10:37:07 pm
This is a recolour of the Holy Simoly (http://www.holysimoly.com/) Private Collector Plate. I have used the Straight Up version with the Ancient Greek design on it. You will need this mesh for the recolour to appear in your game. To locate the mesh, click on 'Objects' of the Holy Simoly Downloads area, then click on 'Decorative'. The Private Collector Plate currently appears on Page 12.

The collector plate shows "The Garden of the Hesperides" which was painted in 1892 by Lord Frederic Leighton.

To find the object in the game, click on Decorative and Sculptures. It costs about §1250.

The collector plate is Basegame compatible. (A very huge thank you to Numemor for the AnyGameStarter/BaseGameStarter which has enabled me to check this).

35  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / "In Disgrace" - Recolour of Holy Simoly Private Collector Plate on: December 08, 2008, 11:58:23 pm
This is a recolour of the Holy Simoly Private Collector Plate. I have used the straight up version which has the Ancient Greek design on it. To find the http://www.holysimoly.com/index.cfm?go=home.welcome mesh, click on "Objects" in the Downloads area, then click on "Decorative." The required mesh currently appears on Page 12.

The collector plate was issued by Royal Doulton in the 1990s and shows a Victorian painting called "In Disgrace" by Charles Burton Barber.

The collector plate is Basegame compatible. (A very huge thank you to Numemor for the AnyGameStarter/BaseGameStarter which has enabled me to check this).

36  Welcome to insimenator.org / Issues & Suggestions / Maximum File Size for Attachments on: December 08, 2008, 06:05:59 pm
I have two questions regarding uploads:

1) What is the maximum file size for zip and rar files when posting new uploads to this site?

2) Can we use off-site links to MediaFire, if for example a Residential/Community Lot exceeds the file size limit for uploading them here?
37  Welcome to insimenator.org / Issues & Suggestions / When Can We Start Uploading to the Site? on: December 08, 2008, 12:13:40 am
Hi,

I tried to upload an item to the Recolours section of the site, but got the message that the Uploads Folder was full, when I tried to post it.
38  Welcome to insimenator.org / Rules, News & Announcements / Re: We can haz new site NAO? on: December 07, 2008, 11:38:27 pm
Thank you to Pescado and the other Mods and Admins who have helped to revive this great site. I guess the current theme is "And there is much rejoicing" while we listen again to "Ode to Joy."
39  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / what would be your first request for the sims3 if custom content is created? on: November 17, 2008, 02:16:36 am
Mods that will fix the SNAFUs and annoyances that are likely to crop up in the game because EA will probably not do enough testing before releasing it.
40  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Who's going to get the The Sims 3? on: November 10, 2008, 08:43:20 am
I'm still waiting for some of the big questions to be answered before making a final decision: what kind of custom content will we be able to create? Can we still use tools such as Wings 3D or blender to create object meshes? Will we still be able to package lots to a file and upload the lot-file to a website of our choosing or will all user created content be funneled to the Sims 3 Exchange?
41  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / Bruegel: The Months Cycle on: November 10, 2008, 08:28:32 am
Here are 5 more paintings by Pieter Bruegel the Elder. They are from his The Months cycle of paintings in which he portrayed the progress of the seasons of the year and the rustic activities associated with them.

They, like my other Paintings by Pieter Bruegel the elder, use justmoi's "Majestic Glamour" mesh. You need the New Mesh "Majestic Glamour" Painting to have these paintings appear in your game.

They require the Base Game and at least one other Expansion Pack to appear in your game.

Thank You:
justmoi at MTS2 for creating the "Majestic" Series of meshes and allowing them to be recolored and shared;
Numenor, RGiles and Quaxi for the CEP;
Quaxi and the team for SimPE;
Wikimedia Commons for the images.
42  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / Les très riches heures du Duc de Berry (Book of Hours) on: November 05, 2008, 08:32:05 pm
My castle walls were a bit bare so I decided to create this series of paintings.

These paintings are from the Très Riches Heures  (or a book of hours) which was a 15th century illuminated manuscript. This was a collection of the text for each liturgical hour of the day - hence the name - which often included other, supplementary, texts. Calendars, prayers, psalms and masses for certain holy days were commonly included. The images are from the calendar section of the Très Riches Heures. More information about Les très riches heures du Duc de Berry and what each scene depicts can be found at WebMuseum, Paris.

All twelve images are found underneath "Sent to My Room Without Dinner" from the Nightlife Expansion pack.

Policy:
You can use these paintings in Lots/Houses, Stories etc if you include credit & a link but:
DON'T upload these to pay sites
DON'T upload these to the Exchange
DON'T claim them as your own.

Thank you to:
Quaxi and the team for SimPE,
Marvine for the User-Interface Mod: No Red Lines During Pause mod which came in very useful when taking the screen shots,
Wikimedia Commons for the images.
