32  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / Emma Watson (Mrs. Granger) Paintings on: June 10, 2007, 03:05:00 am
Oh, the text on Granger Poster (realized the resolution is too small to read) says the following:

"Emma Waston: I've read the books...and Hermione Granger isn't supposed to make me feel like a pedophile."

While surfing the net for images to scan for testing out SimPE I stumbled across a thread of Mrs. Watson.  Given the new book, movie and video game coming out in about a month, I thought some would enjoy some more ingame items of Mrs. Watson.

None of the photo's I used in this post were originally scanned by me.  All of them except Emma Poster 6 are publicity photos for the Goblet of Fire movie.  I found the Granger Poster photo and thought some might get a laugh from it (others may find it a bit disturbing...but whats a little controversy)

Enjoy, and as always use as you like with credit to me for initial effort and GoF movie for the subject matter.

34  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / Michelle Trachtenberg as Snow White (Paintings) on: June 10, 2007, 02:35:27 am
Recolours of "Bella Squared” and “Lady on Red.” These only require the base game and CEP.  These are a couple pictures of Michelle Trachtenberg dressed as Snow White at the 2006 Golden Blast Halloween Party (also features hottie vampire).

Enjoy, as always use as you like just give credit to me for initial work (if anyone knows the photographer for these let me know.)

Recolours of "Two Dogs and an Olive*," "Poisonous Forest," "Pineapple*," "Grilled Cheese*" and "Transcendence." (Items with * require Nightlife expansion, others are base game)

I have a couple more painting sets to upload before moving on to higher difficulty creations. This set uses large canvas size and is intended for either gallery display on a community lot or for those "posh" sim mansions.

Enjoy, as always use as you like just give credit to me for initial work and Mr. Dali for his fantastic works of art.

36  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / Jessica Biel InStyle UK Photo shot Paintings on: June 09, 2007, 10:51:28 am
Thanks.  I figured paintings would be the easiest to start with.  Going to do some recolours and t-shirts next.  Problem is on the t-shirts the guide on MTS2 uses a non-english version as example.  Taking a little while to figure out. http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=91242

I have no experience with Photoshop so Im learning that as I go.  Anyone have some suggestions for online or print sources that can help me learn?

All creative processes start with baby steps. As I learn how to create content for Sims 2, I thought I'd share some of my progress. I used the Bella Squared painting from the base game as template for these paintings. Thus, it is compatible with all versions of the game (only need CEP).

Also, the Environment factor of 7 makes it a reasonable addition to any room. Especially nice if displayed on a large wall and as part of a set.

Hope y’all will enjoy my future projects as I develop some proficiency with this process. Feel free to do what you wish with these items. Just give credit to the original magazine photo shot (InStyle UK) and me for the initial effort. Other than that, enjoy!

38  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Custom Paintings not appearing on: June 05, 2007, 03:13:28 pm

I have the same thing happen, I only thing I could say it could be either the file itself or that it required an Ep that you don't have.  Also when people upload paintings alot of times they don't post where to find them and then you have to search for them and might over look them.  I just stated making custom paintings and it is way easy so you may want to try to make ones yourself.  I made 50 custom paintings last night in one hour, it would take the same amount of time to download them.  And they all worked and I knew exactly where they were. Here is a tutorial:

If you have any problems just pm me.  Make sure that you have cep files right in your downloads folder and not in a subfolder.

Thanks...I was thinking of doing that myself and uploading some.  Need to get a graphic program that works with SimPE.

I just updated them...most are appearing now but some are not.  A couple of them reappeared after I updated CEP then reinstall the painting package and copied over older file.

41  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Custom Paintings not appearing on: June 03, 2007, 01:07:13 pm
I have all expansions installed and all but two stuff packs (holiday and family).  I have some custom paintings that will show up while others do not (some are supposed to appear under the lady on red painting).  What could be causing these paintings to not show up? Could it be a mod that I have installed or something else...

Any recommendations welcome.
