1  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: What TS2 Hack Do You Regret Putting In Your Downloads Folder? on: April 14, 2010, 12:56:50 pm
The one I found was borking my game was Sunbathe anywhere. It was really cool to have them sunbathing as soon as spring arrived but the lag when changing to tan and back was criminal... I think I still have one sim left with the tan permanently on... I only have about 6 vampire friendly careers but no cc food. I really have very few hacks but tons of clothes and hair...

Hmmmm... same for me

You Are Somewhat Popular
No doubt about it, people like you. You have a core group of friends you can depend on.
You are quite socially active... though you wouldn't win any popularity contests.

Like most people, you could stand to make a few more friends.
Venture outside your social circle a little more often. You might be surprised who you meet!
3  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: accelerated skill gain while jumping rope... children on: February 04, 2010, 03:19:16 pm
Ok, I remember she had a want to study it, but am not sure if she did finish. Would it still work if she just studied a bit? That might explain that jump in speed. I didn´t know it had such a visible effect if you did study those subjects, usually they´re much more subtle.
Thank you, Engram! I´ll be paying more attention to those wants in the future.

4  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / accelerated skill gain while jumping rope... children on: February 01, 2010, 05:38:24 pm
I just came across this and was wondering if anybody has seen it before... I had a child with fitness hobby jump rope to increase body points. But after the fifth point, I set her to jump again and suddenly she gained 5 points one after the other in a matter of seconds. I received a notice after each point, that she had increased her fitness level and that she had finally maxed the skill. I had never come across this sudden increase. Any ideas abt what happened? I ended saving and keeping the change as nothing else out of the ordinary came up, but was completely taken by surprise...
Mari huh
edit: Sorry, forgot to add I have all exp. except Pets.
5  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / A Ricky Martin sim? on: October 05, 2009, 06:00:51 pm
I've gone to other sites after I checked here, but he's either hiding or I just couldn't see him anywhere.
Can anybody help? I could have sworn I saw one somewhere...
TIA  Cheesy

Edit oct 6: Thank you for that one, I was hoping for a closer resemblance though...

I sometimes get that same blue shining dot overhead, not very often though. It seems to coincide with sims sleeping for some reason... but as soon as I switch to other sim and back, it goes away. I never thought it was something serious... now you got me wondering  huh

I've seen a couple of custom buffet tables that are compatible with OFB (they charge per serving) at Simwardrobe... just off the top of my head.

8  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Skintone Help! on: August 06, 2009, 12:40:43 pm
You might look into using SimPE to change her skin before she gives birth. I wish I could help with that a bit more but as I've never done it myself, I'd better stay out. But there are plenty of tutorials here and other sites that you can use, not to mention the more experienced simmers who might give you better ideas.

Also, I saw some skin changing vials at Mod The Sims but don't know if that will stop the crashing at birth 'cause it doesn't change genetics (the child will have the old skin not the new one, and besides you might not like the skins they have as options to change into). There is also the Sim Cloner - custom skintone selector by christianlov (also at MTS) but the same thing applies, it's not a genetic change... You can try this though, and see if it at least takes you through the birth...

Hope you fix your problem...

9  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Mysterious disappearance of a Sim! on: August 04, 2009, 01:07:47 pm
Have you tried maybe the Sim Blender, to see if you can modify her in some way? Or the Insimenator... (I know this particular article is controversial at best, but if you have it already, maybe it's worth a try. If nothing else works, you might consider killing her (if you can get a hold of her) and resurrect her to see if that works. Otherwise I've got nothing...

10  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / Re: How do I modify an existing apartment building? on: August 03, 2009, 03:06:27 pm
Thank you for all your replies. I'd already gone and moved the family out, to make all the adjustments I wanted, so I did not get to try the cheat. But I didn't even need changeLotZoning since it let me go into build mode from neighborhood view right after it was empty... Is that normal?
I haven't tried the apt lot again since the changes, should I be doing something different?
11  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / Re: How do I modify an existing apartment building? on: July 31, 2009, 03:55:13 pm
Ok... I guess it's moving time then. They should be in a house anyway, the family just grew and they don't fit in the apartment anymore.
I tried with empty apartment buildings and I could go in and rearrange all I wanted so I'll just do that with this one too...
Thanks so much.

12  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / How do I modify an existing apartment building? on: July 28, 2009, 05:57:03 pm
This is driving me crazy, one family that's living on the penthouse keeps using furniture (tables and chairs) located on the first floor. So they're reading the paper, I cancel the action, and the table or end table they choose to put the paper on is (you guessed it!) on the first floor! And this action will not let itself be cancelled. The sim will walk all the way down to the first floor and I'm pulling my hair out!
So I'm not looking to modify anything inside the apartments but the common area with sofas, dining room, exercise machines, etc. I tried entering from the (build) neighborhood view, but it won't let me. The only choice it gave me was to choose a family to play.
Is there anything I can try, that won't involve moving this family out and back in? I'd like to keep the neighbors provided (there's romance in the air... Grin )
Thanks in advance,

14  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / Re: School Bus on Apartment Lots on: July 17, 2009, 01:42:45 pm
I just got AL and the bus does arrive. Before AL there was no choice 'walk to school', but now there is... which I love!

Could it be one of those glitches after someone ages and the game borks? Cause you could possibly use a hack to fix it.
Is it a child or teen that's being left behind? If you're using Inteen, with a combination of flavors, some teens stop going to school when they hit the 7th day in that life bracket. I can't remember the combination I use but it allows mine to keep going to school until they age or I send them to college...
Just a thought,
15  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / Re: A question, really... on: July 17, 2009, 01:28:23 pm
Wow... I'll have to make them selectable and see if that is the case (but the 3 of them?) I do have assigned all his (what's it called, extra) points towards his romance aspiration which gave me a new interaction, the smooth talk! I just love this one, they all fall for it, and the rose too...
