I won't get to get my copy for days yet. 

I preordered it, and silly me, I actually expected the company to send it to me so it will arrive on June 2, but no, the jerks from GameSpot decided to send it yesterday so I won't be able to get it for a few days yet.  I thought that the only way I could get the special edition was by preordering it, but I go to Wal-Mart and find the special edition (about ten dollars cheaper without the shipping and handling costs).

I have the templates, I just don't know how to get them to load as the base neighborhoods.  I had the notownieregen, the clean templates, and the antiredundancy when I deleted the neighborhoods in my Downloads folder, but there are still townies and such.

I have the debugger from More Awesome Than You, and it'll delete corrupt memories.  I just hate townies, they're such a pain and offer nothing to my game.  Would it be possible to get a clean template with just the Maxis-made characters to work with so I can just redo the neighborhoods?

I don't know how to get the game to just load the game without townies.

Is there a way to just delete all of the townies.  Since I created a combination neighborhood of Strangetown and Pleasantview I am stuck with the NPCs, Townies, Downtownies, and Professors that come with the base game.  I have notownieregen and antiredundancy hacks, but since I used the base towns, they still have all of the stupid townies.

I want to get rid of all of those characters but two.  How do I do that?  I think you can use boolprop to do something like that, but I think it just kills them, not completely gets rid of them, and I don't want one of my families to be stuck with numerous So-and-So died memories.

I have a lot of hairs and outfits in my game.  The problem is that some of my downloads have no link to the meshes that they need so I have lots of the outfits and hairs that don't work properly.  Many of these outfits/hairs don't even include tooltips so I can find the meshes required.  What I need is some kind of program that will go through my hairs and outfits and tell me what mesh is needed.  I thought the orphan mesh scanner would do that, but it only tells me what meshes aren't needed anymore.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your help.  I successfully merged my neighborhoods, and it wasn't that hard.

I tried empty templates, but the fact is, when you download the Uber-Megahood or the Megahood, the families are already there.  I just want Strangetown, Pleasantview, La Fiesta Tech, and Sim State University.  I want the people already living there (i.e. the Goths, Curious Brothers) and the binned sims (the Singles family, the Goodie family), but none of the NPCs (except Kaylynn because she already has an established relationship with Mr. Pleasant, and the ghosts buried in the Specter and Goth houses).

I downloaded the Megahood and the Uber-Megahood, but they have all of the NPCs, Townies, Downtownies, and the families like the Picasos and Travelers; the families added with each EP.  I just want the core people, preferrably with Strangetown as the main, Pleasantview as the suburb, and the two colleges.  I cleaned up my templates so even if I add on the two colleges, they won't have the people.

I know that there are neighborhoods with all of the neighborhoods put together, but I don't play most of the neighborhoods.  The only neighborhoods I really play are Strangetown, Pleasantview, La Fiesta Tech, and Sim State University.  Is there a neighborhood that only has those four parts?  If so, please tell me.

I tried downloading the Megahood, but ended up with all of the expansion families.  I like the families that just come in the base game bin and the University bin, not the ones that are added with every EP.

I have all of the expansion and stuff packs, and up until a few days ago my computer was working fine.  When I load the game, it freezes a bit (mostly because I have a ton of downloads) but then it loads and I can play for hours without a problem.  On Sunday, I tried to play my game and a blank error box popped up.  Its top read The Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Stuff, there was the error symbol, but no information in the box.  Ever since then whenever I try to load the game, this error pops up, and I have no idea how to solve this problem.  Is there a way to find out what the error box is trying to say?

I reinstalled Apartment Life, and I still can't load my Sims.  It'll load to the main screen, but when I try to create families, it freezes -- not always, but often.  Then if I do manage to create a family, it freezes during the process of loading the family, or when I try to go to a different portion of the neighborhood.  I've deleted the Groups.cache, and then I looked at the Vista problem reports:


Can anyone tell me what this could mean and why on my other computer where I have even more downloads, all of the same ones I have on this computer plus some, that computer works right.

I hope they don't take that stuff out.  As a big fan of supernatural dramas and books, I enjoy the strange creatures.  They're my favorite part of the games.  My favorite game itself was Makin' Magic.  I wouldn't mind if they came up with an entire expansion pack with just odd creatures so people can just have the creatures if they want to.

Does anyone know what kind of creatures will be in the Sims 3?  I'm curious if there will be any.  I like the aliens, vampires, plantsims, and witches (to an extent), but I hope they won't do the werewolves again, or if they do, actually make them werewolves as in turning into wolves once a week.

I'm sort of disappointed by the lack of evil, though.  I wanted to make a Harry Potter world and have Voldemort going around killing everyone.

I don't have two hacks named that, I just copied and pasted and forgot to change one to Good.  It seems to be any house.  I created a neighborhood from scratch (using clean templates) and every time I try to add a suburb, university, downtown, et al, it freezes, too.  If I click on the screen while the hourglass turns, it freezes (not responding).  I have no idea why it's acting up like this.
