1  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Sim Honeys / Jean Grey on: April 23, 2009, 05:04:02 pm
This sim started out as someone else but the more I did to her, the more she resembled Famke Janssen in X-Men.  Hope you like her.  Thanks to all the creators who made the great stuff I used.

2  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / Masquerade on: March 31, 2009, 01:05:37 am
Hi, all, here is one more post by the devilboy.  It's been awhile since I posted anything here, but while practicing my sim pic taking ability, I snapped this pic of my latest female sim.  I liked the pic so much I decided to turn it into a painting.  Naturally, I used my favorite mesh, 'A Sim Noir', which comes with GLS (Glamour Life Stuff), so you will need that SP for this to show up in your game.  Enjoy.

What happened to this feature?  How can you make someone your buddy if there is no link in any profiles?  Or am I just missing something?
4  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / Devilboy's Formica Floor Tiles in 15 colors on: December 17, 2008, 02:52:28 pm
Hi, all, I finally finished making my set of formica floor tiles for kitchens and baths.  I made them in fifteen colors, but since I can only upload a limited number of photos here right now, I am only able to show three colors in-game, but I am going to give you a full list of the colors and descriptions where warranted.

orange
light blue
periwinkle
lilac
grey
golden beige
dark lime green
deep aqua blue
dusty rose(pinkish)
dried blood(brownish-red for all those goth and vampire simmers out there)

plus five new colors of:
Cobalt(deep blue)
mint(light green)
lighter lime green
dark honey(brown)
cherryberry(red)

So, there you go, the whole list.  Enjoy, and please let me know what you think of them.

5  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / Tiny Townhouse - Partially sunken on a mini lot on: December 15, 2008, 05:22:35 pm
Well, now, in celebration of InSIM being back up, I am uploading my first new lot in awhile.  I call it the Tiny Townhouse, for obvious reasons.  lol.  It is a one bedroom, one bath, partially sunken home on one of Aelflaed's Sunnyside Residential mini lots, which can be found here:  http://linna.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=251798

Partially furnished, all interior floors are my own creations.  Dusty Blue carpet, Patterned carpet in bedroom, and the Golden Beige color of my Formica Floor Set.  I will be uploading my formica floors here soon.  So far I have 15 colors in that one.

Price for this partially furnished lot is $16,264

Marvine's Simple Spiral Stair - Left Turn can be found here:  http://linna.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=249237

Everything else is Maxis BaseGame.  Enjoy my latest creation(s).  If you love my floors, or hate them, please let me know. All constructive comments and feedback help.
6  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / My Forest Maidens Painting Set- Julia and Eugenia on: December 14, 2008, 01:37:16 pm
Hi, all, and welcome back to InSIM.  I am so glad the site is back up now, even if it is under a slightly different name.  To commemorate our return here, I am posting my new paintings, a set which I titled "Forest Maidens".  The sims in the paintings are my sister sims, Julia(left side painting) and Eugenia(right side painting) Hobbes.  I created them using "A Sim Noir Print" that comes with Glamour Life Stuff, so you will need that SP for them to show up in your game.  They are made to be hung with the women facing each other, hence the "left" and "right" reference above.  Sims made by me, photos taken in game by me, paintings created by me.  Yay, me.  lol.  Enjoy.

As always, my creations are okay to upload to any FREE site.  Just please be sure to give me proper credit and link back to this page.  No pay sites and NEVER, EVER upload anything of mine to The Exchange(http://www.thesims2.com).
7  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / Modern Retro on: November 26, 2008, 11:19:39 pm
Finally managed to make a starter with a starter price. lol. Mostly cuz I cheated(not really) and made recolors of some Maxis build pieces and set the price at "0" for those. I don't feel guilty, tho, because lots of people do that. In this lot, all three of the inner floors are recolors by me of the gray Maxis cement flooring. I believe it is called "Sid's Cement" or something like that. I also changed the tile pattern on it so that now instead of a 1x1 tile, it is set for 5x5, which makes the floor look more like large cement slabs, which I love. The red is sort of bright, but the white and black spots make it look like a painted cement floor with the paint wearing off, IMO. I also love the blue and green recolors of the same floor I did. On the outside, the washed out siding with the palest blue color is my recolor of Maxis' Simply Siding in "Salt". I also did a green recolor, which is a bit brighter than the blue but has that same washed out appearance.

The price for this lot, unfurnished, is $16,814 as is. If this lot gets good enough feedback, I am hoping to upload it to MTS2 as soon as my upload restriction is over. Does anyone know how long those usually last?

Once again I have used one of Aelflaed's Sunnyside Residential Mini Lots, the 2x1. They are great for building the really small houses I do sometime. They also keep you(me) from making the house too large, thus going over the $20,000 starter price limit.

PS - If you are going to use my recolors in your uploads, my policy is that you must NEVER, EVER upload anything of mine to The Exchange, or to any pay sites.  Free sites are cool as long as you give proper credit.  Enjoy
8  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / Remodelled Warehouse #2 - NEWLY UPDATED LOT on: November 21, 2008, 08:55:07 am
Okay, friends, here is my long-awaited second in my Remodelled Warehouse series(or perhaps not so long, lol).  This one is also built on one of Aelflaed's Sunnyside Mini Residential Lots you can get here:  http://nene.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=251798

It is a one bedroom, 1 1/2 bath small warehouse with a balcony outside the second floor kitchen and dining area.  First floor is living room and half bath.  Third floor is bedroom and full bath with tub/shower combo and toilet.

CC all comes from olemantiker's Ole Factory Set here on InSIM:  http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=11419

Thanks to olemantiker for making such great factory style build materials.  They work so well with my remodels.  Smiley

As I said earlier, these lots seem to be becoming a set, and I am considering making my #3 in the series a larger lot, a remodelled warehouse apartment building.  That one will probably take a long time, but stay tuned....

I would love to hear your feedback on this lot.  Smiley

NOTE ON NEW UPDATE:  I made some changes to this lot, so I reuploaded the whole thing.  Now there is only one driveway piece, as the other was taking up too much space, IMO.  I also added a fence from the same olemantiker set, along with some landscaping.  I then took new, better photos.  For those of you who have already downloaded the previous version, please take a look at the new one and let me know what you think.
9  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Neighborhoods / Sharkbat Cove on: November 21, 2008, 07:34:52 am
Hi, guys, here is another SC4 terrain I made in SimCity4.  I called it Sharkbat Cove (actually, my twin bro gave me the name for it) and it is another small-ish neighborhood, island/valley type.  Sorry if the photos of the 'hood are not that great, but I did the best I could.  When I tried to get a really great photo and pressed TAB to get rid of the user interface, the entire neighborhood disappeared.  I think it may have something to do with my neighborhood camera hack.  Oh, well.  I think you can see pretty well in these pics, but if not, let me know and I will try to take more.
10  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Neighborhoods / Rano Kau on: November 21, 2008, 12:17:24 am
Hi, all, this is my first ever neighborhood that I uploaded to MTS2 awhile back.  It was pretty popular there so I thought I would also share it with all of you guys here.  Hope you like it.  Its just a small neighborhood set inside an extinct, partially collapsed volcanic island.  Smiley

Please do not re-upload any of my creations to any other sites, especially pay ones.  Free sites are okay, as long as you give proper credit and link back to the individual thread.

BTW and FYI, when I made this 'hood, and photo, I had not yet learned that when you import a 'hood from SimCity4 into TheSims2, the layout gets reversed, like a mirror image, so the layout of this hood is actually backwards from what the photo shows.  Just wanted to put this in so there are no unpleasant surprises for any of you who download it.
11  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / SIMPLE ART DECO HOUSE on: November 18, 2008, 02:16:52 am
Hi, all, here is my newest lot, a simple art deco-style house I built from a photo I found online.  It is very small, big enough for one person.  Photos show it furnished, but packaged lot is empty except for kitchen and bath stuff, as I wanted to give it a "starter" price, i.e., under $20,000.  I succeeded, as the price now is $17,790.  Source photo also included.  All Maxis content, except for the windows, from stonetower's "Fallingwater" seamless window set which is here:

  http://nene.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=247067

and brick/molding around top from Snowhawke9's Asherton Brick set here:

http://nene.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=296116

Keep an eye our for my future in custom walls and floors, and possibly terrain paints, as I just downloaded HomeCrafter Plus.  Great program.  You can find it here, if youre interested:

http://thesims2.ea.com/getcoolstuff/homecrafter.php

ALSO, this lot is built on another of Aelflaed's Sunnyside mini residential lots.  They are great.
Here they are:  http://nene.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=251798

Oh, yes, once again, PLEASE do not reupload my stuff on any other sites.  Thanks.  Smiley
12  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / Brick Version of my Remodelled Warehouse on: November 15, 2008, 08:40:49 pm
Hi, all, I made some changes to my Remodelled Derelict Warehouse, so I thought I would share the new version with you all as well.  The outer and inner walls are now Maxis' Industrio Brick, and I removed the roof of the parking slip and replaced it with a flat roof which is also a second floor balcony.  In addition, I made some changes to the bathroom, making it larger so I could put in a tub/shower combo.

By removing the two backyard trees and the kitchen counters and appliances, I was also able to get the lot price down to $19,616, so it is actually a starter lot now, as far as price goes.  All the removed stuff was Maxis so it will be easy to replace, or you can just put in whatever you want.

Also, now all custom content is from olemantiker's Ole Factory Set, which you can find here:  http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=11419

Built on one of Aelflaed's mini lots, same as the other version which you can find here:  http://nene.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=251798

Anyway, I hope you all like this one.  Feedback and comments are much appreciated.  And, oh yea, PLEASE DO NOT RE-UPLOAD MY CREATIONS TO ANY OTHER WEBSITES, ESPECIALLY PAY ONES.  Thank you.

For pics of what the interior looks like the way I had it furnished, go to:  http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=99085
13  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / Remodelled Derelict Warehouse on: November 11, 2008, 08:06:45 pm
Hi, everyone.  This is my first ever attempted upload to Insimenator.  I have recently been spending more time learning how to build lots that are good enough to upload to different sites, rather than just building lots for my own game.  I have gotten a lot of custom content for my game from this site and others and am hoping to be able to share my creations with all of you.  So here goes:

An empty warhouse that has been remodelled into a livable home.  Included in the RAR file are both a 1br and a 2br version.  2br price is $27,764.  1br price is $26,779.  All Maxis content used except:

http://www.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=168082 (Edge Smoother by Ailias)

Ole Factory Set by olemantiker at: http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=11419

http://nene.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=80742 (Stairway to Eleven)

None of this cc is by me, but thanks to all listed above who created all this great stuff.

It is built on one of Aelflaed's Sunnyside mini residential lots, the 2x1 lot, which you can find here:  http://nene.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=251798

The packaged lots are unfurnished, containing only some lighting, basic bathroom plumbing, and kitchen stuff (counters, stove, fridge, and smoke/fire alarm).

Your feedback on this would be much appreciated.

UPDATE!!  Just uploaded a brick version with a couple of small changes.  It is located here:  http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=99372
14  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Why wont my Sims teleport anymore? on: December 01, 2007, 03:01:33 pm
In the past when I would click to make my sims "Go  Here", or "Run Here", there was always a "Teleport Here" option.  Since I reinstalled my game on my new computer, that option is missing.  Can anyone tell me why that is, or how to fix it?  Thanks, Id really appreciate it.
