You don't need the stuff pack for it to work,but anything that comes with that stuff pack or is custom content you will just see it flashing blue.

If you have the object mod version of the insiminator go to electeonics:all and look for the little blue vase with a plant in it.  Using that will allow you to add or remove anyone from your households.   Also, to get rid of old townies, push the control, shift and c keys, and type in deleteallcharacters.  That will remove all townies with the old faces.  The only problem with that is it will remove all characters in a neighborhood,not just townies.

This is awesome.  I have a sim who I am drssing in some muslim attire and I think she will enjoy this.

Hi, everyone.  Meet Muffin, a sim I created earlier today while messing around in my brother's BodyShop(yes, we get together to play Sims2 occasionally, as we are both addicted.  lol).  I really liked the way she turned out, and so did my brother, who encouraged me to upload her.  She is an adult female, so you would only need basegame for her, I believe, as I used all custom content to make her.
